I was immediately impressed with the professionalism and resident-centric vision of this community. One should definitely consider StoryPoint when evaluating assisted living facilities in West Knoxville.

My mom has been a resident at StoryPoint Knoxville West for almost a year. I moved her from a different facility and she's doing much better at StoryPoint. The staff is excellent and helpful. The facility is clean, organized and always smells very nice. I don't worry about my mom because I know she's safe & being cared for. This helps me more than I can express.

I love this place Everone is so friendly Love the fact it looks so clean with lots of white which makes it look so clean. What isn't white is a very light gray. Even in my smallest room I don;t feel closed in. 103 TV channels is great, too.

Wonderful facility, staff and location. My uncle has been here for over 6 months (in both wings)...and I know many friends who have sent loved ones to this location without any regret. It's so difficult to turn some responsibilities of your loved ones over to strangers, but the staff at StoryPoint has gone above and beyond to make the transition easier. They always have fun activities and good food! Definitely ask for Noah...he is part of the sales staff and very knowledgable.

Just moved my dad out of this facility. There is a huge turnover since Manorhouse sold out to StoryPoint. I gave them a chance to improve as change is very hard. You will notice all the new employee signs and empty rooms when you go there. There is a reason for it. I have had major issues & ongoing issues such as not cleaning room, not washing or changing bed linens, not following care plan (bathing and brushing teeth (note he had healthy gums before he entered this facility), meds left in room in cup, etc). Other issues of missing items, conflict in communication (doctor and nurse not being on same page), attitude from administrator upon trying to get issues corrected (not acceptable). They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Below are pics so you can make an informed decision.

I wanted to let you know how much my aunt loves your community. After several weeks of looking for a new home for my aunt, I was lucky to find Manorhouse. My aunt is very happy with all of the activities that you offer - she is very involved and making a lot of friends. At home, she would not have met such nice ladies with so many of the same likes. The food is great, my aunt never misses a meal to eat unless our family takes her out. We were both pleased that she was able to decorate her apartment as she wished, it is her new home for sure. I can sleep at night now knowing she is safe and receiving excellent care, thank you. I would like to personally thank Tim Robinson for making this transition great for my aunt and our family. Thank you to all of the Manourhouse staff, you are awesome.

When the time came that my Mother should no longer live alone, I wanted to have her near me. To have her near me meant a move from North Carolina, away from lifelong friends and some family. I wanted a loving, home atmosphere where she could have her own space, but have assistance with her medications, meals, etc. The Manor House was my first stop. When I walked in I was greeted with such warmth and friendliness and immediately had a good feeling. As I talked with staff and toured the facility, I began to have my fears eased and was beginning to feel at home myself. I felt so completely comfortable and at ease I looked No further. This was meant to be Mother's new home. On the day she moved in, every member of the staff came to meet her, began calling her by name and treating her and us like family. We were able to furnish her apartment with her own furniture, pictures, and plants, everything to make her feel comfortable and at home. The Manor House has a beautiful courtyard on the interior of the building. She loves to spend time out there feeding birds and enjoying beautiful East Tennessee days. There are a lot of musical activities, and programs to keep their residents happy, active and engaged in life. Mother has been a resident at the Manor House now for a year and a half. In that time they have helped her through two major illnesses to a full recovery, encouraged her to stay active, and make sure she is happy and well cared for. She has made so many good friends. We also have made new friends who are like family to us all. Manor House is "home" for Mother. The time that she has resided at the Manor House has been among some of the happiest in her later years. They have and continue to take good care of her and us. I can't imagine not having the love and support of Tim and his staff to help guide us through what have truly become her golden years. I am thankful every day for The Manor House of Knoxvill

My grandmother has been a resident in the Manorhouse community for almost three years now. In my first visit to Manorhouse, as I was researching assisted living options, the warm and friendly staff, the beautiful courtyard and living areas, and their commitment to care made a lasting impression on me. After moving Grandma in, the feeling of being a part of the Manorhouse family grew quickly for both of us. For my Grandma, even though she can't remember the names of the staff who assist her daily, she recognizes their smiling faces and is comfortable in their care. For me, I am so very thankful to have Manorhouse on my team, working with me to provide the best care for Grandma as her needs change. Over the past year, Grandma made the transition from assisted living into The Pavilion and the management and staff have been super accessible and willing to address all of my concerns or questions. I've seen first hand that the leadership of the management team is strong, positive and committed to providing the best care and community for their residents. Thank you Manorhouse!

In mid 2010 my brother and I knew it was time for our parents, Marion and Bill, then in their mid eighties, to live closer to me and to move into an assisted living facility. I didn't know where to begin looking. Word of mouth from two close friends drew us to Manorhouse. Naturally I had to check out other places, but I kept coming back to Manorhouse. It just had that homey feel we were looking for. In October, 2010, my parents moved into a lovely apartment with a kitchenette. I positioned the furniture around the window so they could watch the sunset like at their old home in VA. It was important to me and to them to be able to continue their lifestyle with as little change as possible. Being outdoor people, Mom and Dad love strolling thru the courtyard. The flowers, birds and sometimes someone's little kitty helps to keep us all in touch with Mother Earth and Gods creations. The musical entertainment gets the feet tapping and the hands clapping. Mom loves to get dressed up for Frank and Jerry because they "sing to her only", lol. Exercise, cards and fun daily activities helps to keep their minds sharp. We all sleep peacefully knowing my parents are happy, safe and respectfully cared for. My Dad passed away last October and thankfully my Mom continues to thrive. I believe the kind friends, staff and daily activities play a large part with her recovery. I have been a volunteer at Manorhouse for the past four years and I can honestly say I love it! It's like coming home to family the minute I walk in the door. Laughing with the residents and staff is a great way to boost those feel good endorphins for everyone. There is a great professional chemistry between all the Managers which is important. It is a well run, clean facility with emphasis on respect and care for the residents. I could go on forever listing all the attributes of Manorhouse. If I can help at all with your decision making concerning your loved one, please don't hesitate to contact me. They know me at the front desk! Blessings.
