We had a wonderful experience visiting with Heather and Christine. You answered all of our questions and left us feeling that is the place I will want to be, should I ever need assisted living. While I wait for a 2 bedroom I will strive to stay as independent as possible. By the way, loved the hymns played by your resident and I would probably be her most constant audience. Thanks for a beautiful tour too.
July 2026
I took a tour with Christina and Heather. They were very kind and professional. They gave me all of the materials and information that my friend and I need to make a decision, when we are ready to do so. NH

A family member has been living at Legacy Village of Salt River for over two years now - starting in senior living and moving to memory care. We have had an incredible experience working with the staff there to help our family member navigate their physical, mental, and emotional challenges. Even at the senior living level, Legacy Village kept an eye on our family member to ensure safety and didn't hesitate to contact us if they noticed something wasn't right. There is a busy activity schedule, provided meals, and a host of other included services. The staff that we have gotten to know there are caring, considerate, patient, and sympathetic. The senior staff we have dealt with (Lara, Dianna, and Cara) are always available to chat and have helpful suggestions...all of the other staff (including Mary Beth at the front desk) are caring and know my family member on sight and by name! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Legacy Village of Salt River.
July 2026
We made 2 visits to investigate Legacy Village for a family member. The property is kept in "new condition" in all areas that we saw. It is also a very friendly living facility and that includes the management, the staff, and the residents. To the management, our guide during our visits made it more than just a visit. She presented the different plans in a very organized but friendly manner. In addition, she communicated directly with our family member with compassion and a genuine care our family members feelings. That made a huge impact. A great program from everything that I saw.
June 2026
There was total cooperation and excellent communication between myself, staff and the move in team.

We just moved my parents into this wonderful community. I can't say enough about the fabulous modern floor plans.. the attentive staff and the residents. Within the first week, my mom met so many people who just raved about being at Legacy every time we go there, the place is buzzing with activity, socializing, and very happy residents and staff. The Care, the amenities and activities exceeded our expectations- Christina has been instrumental in helping this transition go as smoothly as possible and is always there to answer questions and assist with anything we need- we're currently trying to get my dad out of a rehab facility and into this wonderful new Community and Legacy has even helpful with that process. Legacy Village at Salt River is an outstanding senior community. There is a reason why there's not a lot of availability here.!
June 2026
We just moved my parents in and already know they are in the right place. Christina, Victoria and the entire staff are respectful, responsive, and really proud of where they work. So many activities to participate in and the apartments are roomy and comfortable. If you are taking the next step in your parents care, I would recommend Legacy Village at Salt River.

Toured with Holly yesterday. Super impressive community and tour experience. She.was compassionate, very knowledgable ane well connected with resources for a smooth move in. We'll be moving my dad in and loved meeting their team..Lunch was great and the residents were engaged. The difference about Legacy Village is the staff there and the feeling I got walking in. Thank you Holly!

We've been visiting the Legacy numerous times and all our experiences have been positive. We're in the process of making a decision to select the Legacy as our Senior home.

Please excuse the grammatical spelling errors as I am speaking into the phone. The overall feeling of legacy was welcoming. The overall look of the place to me seemed very bland. I would love to have seen more decor on the walls, especially a large wall that was in the dining room. The dining room room didn’t seem very decorated. I don’t think I would feel very proud of her living facility if I took guests there. It just didn’t seem very lovely beautiful, very very plain. Our biggest negative and probably the only real one was the fact that we couldn’t see a two bedroom two bath because there were none available in the size we wanted and that is a disappointing. We ask if our name could be put on a waitlist and Holly you didn’t seem very encouraging about that, probably because the weight is so long. But I thank you again. People were very very pleasant to be with. Sandra and Ken Lee.

Since taking up Residency, have been enjoying by participating in activities and events organized by Recreation Team. Many of Outing events, gives a good exposure to every Resident here. Appreciated all Activities, outings to many different malls, Restaurants, and other Historical locations inspired me very much. Additionally the weekly and special occasion entertainment are very entertaining. As Improvement to the on going events, I strongly Recommend, Overnight outing to AZ entertaining location, Residence participation in Public speaking presentations like Show-and-tell. This is a beautiful facility, with friendly staff. A family member moved into the memory care unit in June 2025. There were issues from the beginning with the facility not following the Care Plan, from hydration to hygiene and toileting assistance. The family had to continuously follow up on the care received. We soon found out that the facility was not equipped to handle severe cases of sundowning and dementia. The family was repeatedly called to deal with their family member when they showed signs of aggression or frustration due to sundowning. The facility had difficulty adjusting medications to offset these sundowning episodes. This family member was hospitalized 3 times within one month for dehydration and UTI's. After falling in the bathroom, they went 1 1/2 weeks with an undiagnosed hip fracture, despite the patient crying out in severe pain. Ultimately the family had to call in hospice to deal with the pain, and our loved one died within 2 months of moving in. Until the initial dehydration and UTI diagnosis, the family member was happy at Legacy. Unfortunately, it was soon determined that they just could not provide the care needed when the sundowning occurred. If you think that you will eventually need care similar to a skilled nursing facility, look elsewhere.

Moving into Legacy Village at Salt River was a breeze. The staff was great and welcoming and provided all the information and support I needed to feel at home in my lovely apartment. An assigned resident was there to help me and show me around and answer any questions. The facility is lovely and has great views of the mountains. I found the residents to be welcoming and friendly. I am pleased with my choice of Legacy Village.

Legacy Village at Salt River Fields is truly an exceptional senior community offering Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care”all within a warm, welcoming environment. I’ve had the privilege of helping many clients transition into this community, and every experience has exceeded expectations. The team”Steve, Bethany, and Lara”are simply outstanding. Their kindness, professionalism, and genuine compassion for the residents are unmatched. They go above and beyond to make everyone feel at home and cared for. I would wholeheartedly recommend Legacy Village to any client, friend, or family member.

Christina Epley was wonderful to work with in our search for an assisted living apartment for our mother. Chris spent a lot of time with me on the phone, sent me information, and then arranged a FaceTime tour for my mother and the rest of the family. Unfortunately, Legacy didn’t have a unit that fit my mother’s needs. Thank you Christina, for all of your help and kindness. Melody Robidoux

My 92 year old mom has been a resident of Legacy Village of Salt River assisted living for six months. The Assisted Living Director, Ana Nzioka oversees the care staff which include Kristen, Pam, Brenda, Rita and others. The care staff check on my mom throughout the day and make sure she has everything she needs and are available for any questions I may have. They are reliable and comforting to my mom and me. I have seen the cleaning staff, maintenance staff and serving staff treat all the residents with kindness, respect and dignity. The food is amazing and designed to meet any dietary need. The portions are more than generous. The Wellness Director, Ron Ingram is always available and works with the Medical Care team and residents to insure their wellness. The front desk staff which include Savannah, Karen, Beth and others along with Bethany, the Marketing Director greet everyone with a helpful smile. Throughout the years I have had family members in various facilities in the Scottsdale area and in my opinion Legacy Village of Salt River has the best all around care.

December 2024
My mother (89 years old) entered Legacy on March 19, 2024, after a second hip fracture rendered her unable to continue to live independently. It took several months for a care plan to be developed, so we were in limbo for some time. When one finally was created, the items on it, for which we were paying, were not being performed (e.g., no one bathed her and applied moisturizer-they waited in her bedroom and watched TV while she showered; no one escorted her to meals, etc.). No one offered assistance with her arranging transportation to her appointments (which she had trouble doing on her own), and there was no clear contact if I wished to discuss concerns with someone. At no point have staff been proactive about notifying me of issues (I live in Philadelphia), but rather I have had to chase them to find resolution when I become aware. Furthermore, the staff turnover is so high that it has been nearly impossible to identify, let alone reach, the correct staff member when I need to. By way of example, my mother is incontinent of urine and her room smelled so badly that it could be detected from the hallway. At no point did someone contact me to make me aware of this and discuss solutions. It was not until I was there on a visit, when I sent all of her urine-soaked clothing and bedding to the laundry, sprayed the hamper, overhauled her incontinence garments, ordered a new mattress, and proposed a schedule of four times daily diaper changes that this was even addressed. Even so, as soon as I left, things reverted to their previous status. I caution you against trusting Legacy with the care of your loved ones.

I was visiting an 'old friend' . I thoroughly the experience enjoyed the people, employees and surroundings..which appeared clean and safe. (My old RN training kicking in.) I ate a couple of tasty meals and enjoyed a pre-Halloween program by the staff. Great band! Everyone appeared to be enjoying themselves, staff and clients alike. My friend repeatedly talked about how glad she was there, as did her daughter. I was glad for the both of them...even a little jealous.

There is no such thing as a good move. But, your staff made my move as painless as possible. There were a number of folks who helped at just the right time. Include, but certainly not limited are Bethany Grass, Kenna Richards, Juan the great mechanic, and your front desk personnel - in particular a young lady named Karen.

I am sharing a 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment with my Sister and her dog. We moved in on August 2nd, 2024. So far I am pleased with the residents that I've met. They are very friendly and accepting of others. They are trying to get us into the various activities available (cards, talks, exhibitions, etc.). As soon as I'm settked in, I'll start getting involved. I'm also pleased with the staff, they are most helpful. The front desk attendants have helped with everything from answering questions, to helping us set the thermostat in the apartment, to coordinating my travel activities with the Van driver. The transportation guy's Anthony and Jon have been most accomodating. Getting me to appointments and picking me up as needed with great attitudes. Kenna Richards the Sales Manager has helped coordinate our move, answer any and all questions including showing me where different rooms are (exercise, 2nd dining room). The dining staff are gems. They are sometimes overwhelmed with a crush of people, but ultimately get our orders taken and delivered. The food in both dining rooms tastes great. If one doesn't care for the daily specials (breakfast, lunch, dinner), there are alternate menu's from which to order. I have enjoyed almost everything put in front of me. From what I've experienced in the past week, I would highly recommend Legacy Village at Salt River.
August 2024
Move in was seamless, everyone was very helpful in directing us as we moved items in and got settled. At the end of our day, we had a visit from three young ladies to welcome us and to see how everything was and if they could help in anyway I thought that was fantastic. We couldn’t be more happy with the accommodations and the community.

Legacy Village at Salt River has been our mom's home for independent senior living for over 2 years now. She has made so many good friends, and her social life is keeping her brain and body healthy. Our mom's room is bright and airy with a wonderful cleaning staff. From the start, we have trusted Lisa Bulka who is always there to answer questions, get advice, solve problems.....we just adore her. We highly recommend Legacy Village for anyone looking to move into a senior living community.

Last week I had the opportunity to tour Legacy Village of Salt River and was very impressed! The building feels brand new. It is inviting, light, and spacious. The associates are committed to the residence, their well being, activities, experiences, and care. The residence are active, engaged, kind and friendly. And spoke very highly of their experiences. It was a pleasure to meet, visit with and learn from the outstanding people at Legacy Village of Salt River!

I'm a Lab Representative who simply calls on this facility. That being said, I can tell you that it is a beautiful, clean, well staffed, with a friendly environment. Definitely one of the nicest Assisted Living residences I've visited.

My mom has lived here since they opened. The staff has been wonderful and importantly they have a lot of activities that my mom enjoys. They have great balcony's that overlook the mountains that she loves.

New and modern design. Like most in today's economy they can sometimes find it hard to recruit and retain support staff. Meals are decent though they more than occasionally run out of some menu items. The staff that is there is friendly and attentive to residents needs.

I was surprised when I saw the below comment of anything but great things. My loved one has been at Legacy for a little over a month now and I have found the staff to be courteous and polite, the management team to be responsive in a very prompt manner. I have always enjoyed meals with my parents, so once we lost my dad I have always tried to make it a point to have at least one meal a week with my mom. I have continued this since she has been at Legacy, and I have found the dining experience and food to be lovely. I cant speak to before mom came to Legacy, but I can say its been nothing short of wonderful since we've been here. Thank you to the legacy staff and managers for taking great care of my mom, it wasn't the easiest decision for me to move her to senior living, as naturally I had guilt about not keeping her at home with me! You made this a positive and comforting thing for the both of us!
February 2022
This place is a new and clean facility but due to the terrible management and horrible food services, I would not recommend moving a loved one into this facility until they actually make some real changes. I completely agree with Tracy K's review as our experience has been exactly the same. I have held off writing a review for months with the hopes that things would improve but sadly they haven't and I feel I need to let others know so they are not in the same spot we are in. I know many residents have moved out and more are considering it. The main reason that a lot of older people need to move into a place like Legacy Village is the simple fact that they aren't able to shop/cook for themselves or prefer not to. It's also something the residents should be able to look forward to each day. The chefs/dining service/food services have been UNBELIEVABLY bad and the fact that this continues is unacceptable. For the price they are charging the residents, it is truly insulting. I truly hope that Legacy Village of Salt River gets their act together and fixes their management and food service issues. The property has a lot of potential and I cannot believe they are letting these solvable issues ruin what should be a much better experience for people. It has created a very negative environment. On the positive side, the facilities/housekeeping teams have been wonderful and the rooms are very nice and bright. If I see a change, I will make sure to update my review. Until then, I would keep shopping for another facility that would show more care and respect for their residents basic needs.
December 2021
New management team and associates over the past few months are really making great things happen at this community! Truly a warm feeling to see so many smiling resident faces throughout the building.
October 2021
The facility is beautiful..the staff is amazingly very nice except for one ...it looks like she doesn't like her job she really shouldn't be there ..she seriously is the true meaning of the evil twin never get a goodmorning from her or a smile .I'm sure I'm not the only one that notices you must be a very speacial person to work in the assisted living environment..this isnt for you my dear the food they serve is awful the menues always miss sprints the portion they serve is as if there on a diet they have you write out your order and still cant get the order correct the majority of the servers look awful sweaty and wearing street clothes and are very rude dancing around very un professional morning servers are the we worst will never recommend this place cook isnt a cook

From the moment you walk into Legacy Village, it feels different. It is clean, smells fresh, has plenty of natural light and has high ceilings as well as a very peaceful and calm feeling and energy. The staff is outgoing and caring and you can tell they enjoy what they do. Michelle and Lisa, who have been there since they broke ground are absolutely fantastic. The value, location and staff, as well as the opportunity to live in a very beautiful environment makes me feel happy and excited for my parents to begin their next chapter as they have been married almost 60 years. The facility is brand new and built on the Salt River Pima Reservation and is aesthetically very pleasing to the eye.
February 2021
Our experience at the Legacy has been absolutely delightful. The entire staff has been amazing in all they do, from care, love, compassion and excellence. The quality of care far surpasses any of my expectations down to the minutest details. From top down, it is run to the utmost level of excellence giving dignity, honor and compassion to their residents. I can not say enough about this place. Rita Marranca
