Yet again, another spectacular visit. This time I met with Michelle, she has such a warm personality and very personable. I enjoyed getting to know her if you are interested in this community book a tour and lunch with her. This community always seems to be perfectly clean too.

Unless your elder can see or walk, I wouldn’t put them here. My wheelchair bound mother had to wait sometimes upwards around 45 min to be toileted as an example where she would call me at home and I would contact the front desk. She’s done that several times. I’ve witnessed rude, short, and dismissive behaviors amongst staff and directors. Food was cold and never warmed, they come in put it in the counter and leave. Sometimes they would forget to put her to bed and she would call me still in her chair at midnight. The price of $9,500 a month is criminal. DO NOT trust their doctors I promise you. I’ve told people on tour to turn around. It is not worth what you’ll pay. It’s a business and that is all they provide, a business. They’re not here for us, it’s all about the money. You’ll buy the aesthetic’s not the care and there’s a lot of sweet talk going on. They’ll still fill up their beds like anywhere else and will probably continue too and that’s unfortunate for our elderly. You don’t always get what you pay for so good luck

I want to share my experience with Ivy Park at Simi Valley. Recently I went to visit the memory care for my wonderful, sweet husband of 40 years. My husband has Alzheimer’s disease for over 5 years. I knew I had to do something but I couldn’t bring myself to do anything. Elizabeth met with me. What a kind, compassionate human being. She showed me along Vanat, and Dina what a loving, caring community Ivy Park is. They listened to me and heard me. My husband has now been in memory care for 2 and a half weeks. He is doing well, making friends and adjusting in this new environment. One of the things that makes Ivy Park special is that they listen to my husband and everyone in the community. All the staff are kind and always have a genuine smile . I know my husband is safe, liked and is shown respect as the great gentleman that he is. I completely trust Ivy Park at Simi Valley. I feel lucky for both my husband and I. My husband loves nature, and Ivy Park at Simi Valley is surrounded by beautiful mountains and trees, the grounds are lovely. With much gratitude, Janet

My mom has lived at Ivy Park for over a year now, and the staff and facility have been wonderful. The toughest decision we faced was moving her from the home she had lived in for many years into an assisted living facility. Although it was difficult at first, she now loves it and has thrived at Ivy Park because of the incredible staff and, most importantly, Lea, the director. It pains me to write this review, however. In the last few months, the amazing staff have left one by one. While at first it didn’t seem like a big deal, gradually, those who made the facility feel like family are now mostly gone. What once felt like home now seems, lately, more like a business. My mom, along with many other residents, are deeply concerned. They had grown to love and trust these individuals, and now only a few remain”though I fear they may soon follow. I have tried reaching out to the upper executives without success. It appears that more focus is being placed on executive events than on the residents who live here. I truly hope this reaches the right people, because it is such a shame that so many wonderful team members are gone. Hopefully, they will find great new opportunities, but in the meantime, the residents are left feeling confused and uneasy. Thank you for reading.

I went to Ivy Park today for a Senior Education meeting and as always they seemed to amaze me. The sales team there are wonderful and personable, Desire & Amy. They were great hosts. I also had the opportunity to tour a room with Desire recently and was impressed with the layout and cleanliness. There is also a beautiful outdoor area to relax and conversate with others.

My parents have been living in this community for nearly a year and I can’t say enough wonderful things. From the moment we met Amy, we felt her warm heart and kindness and that drew us in. Then we got to meet with Lee, the executive Director and she was so thorough kind and helpful. Finally, we got the opportunity to sit down with Vanna and work alongside her and her amazing team. I have to tell you as a family member dealing with loved ones with dementia and Alzheimer’s. Vanna is by far the best person to oversee such a wonderful program. I see the way she communicates with her staff and how she treats my parents and we can’t think this entire team enough.

Ivy Park at Simi Valley is a fabulous place that will assist your loved one’s to have a wonderful and safe place to live and enrich their lives. Three years ago, my brother had reached a point where he could no longer live alone. I toured all of the assisted living facilities in Simi Valley. None of them could compare with Ivy Park. The detail of the building and the flow of the area, inside and out is flawless. Its bright and airy. Cleanliness is strictly enforced throughout. The residents rooms all have wonderful views of well manicured gardens with comfortable outdoor seating for great conversations. The floor plans are nicely laid out for safety and ease of movement. Professional and well trained staffing give you piece of mind . The medical techs and the service’s they offer are excellent. Unparalleled service in the dining room along with award winning chefs are there for the residents meal requests. Wonderful and interesting menu’s are presented daily . Fabulous planned activities are happening all the time! There is never a dull moment! Something is always going on at Ivy Park. The amenities that are offered would take pages to list! My brother is thriving and has made so many new friends. It’s a relief for my family knowing he is well taken care of, safe and happy. You are treated like family. I highly recommend Ivy Park at Simi Valley. Helen Violette

My friend now lives there, and the staff treats her like family.

My mother moved into memory care at Ivy Park in Simi Valley in April. She had recently had surgery and wasn’t doing well. We thought she was close to passing away. The staff nursed her back to health and she is doing fantastic. They are very patient with her as she can be very feisty. I definitely would recommend. A special thanks to Vana!

My mom is currently in the memory care unit at Ivy Park and they work hard providing their residents with excellent care. All of the caregivers are always joyful and show extreme patience.

The place is luxurious. But my dad (81yro) says that some of the assistants leave much to be desired as they seem to need more training on how to do their assignments. My father is rather particular about how he would like things done (and can be a difficult customer, to be honest) but he is articulate and clear about what it is he is asking an assistant to do. Recently the assistant has been, in my opinion, seems to be a bit passive aggressive towards my father by looking him in the eye and doing the opposite of what's been asked several times during an assistant's visit. Other than that, the place is huge, the grounds are lovely and the food is satisfying. The other tenants are friendly and sociable. My father is coming from a much, much more expensive place in Thousand Oaks, Belmont Village off Moorpark and Olson, and I must say Ivy Park makes that place look dilapidated and run down. Personally, I am quite pleased with the dining, maintenance, and concierge staff. They were all pleasant and efficient. High praise from persnickety people such as we

Note: My review from 4 years ago was regarding The Foothills. I don’t have any knowledge about Ivy Park. Our father has been at the Foothills for about 8 months and we are so grateful for the kind and compassionate care he receives there. Our experiences with ALL the staff members have been so positive. I would love to list all of them by name, but I'd be too afraid to forget someone. It is such a relief to know our dad is safe, happy, and well cared for.

I want to give a shout out to Silvino in maintenance ™™. He is so amazing!! He takes such good care of my father’s room, keeping the carpet clean and sanitized when needed. He also has taken it upon himself to help us care for Charlie my dads parrot. We are so grateful, and Charlie has fallen in love with him because of his gentle kind spirit. Thank you Silvino!!! You get 10 stars in my book©©©©©©©

The staff is really caring here. I have spoken to Lea (the executive director) multiple times and she really wants to do what is right for everyone. The memory care staff is attentive. Thanks for all you do.

As an entertainer, I have a unique perspective when I perform at over 40 Assisted living facilities in and around Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. I see the really good the average, and the not so good. Foothills Senior Living in Simi Valley is one of the best of the best. When I walk in, the vibes are really good. The residents are happy and most have big smiles. Smiles are quite telling. The facility is very clean and the common areas are designer quality Lots of people ask me for my thoughts on a particular community based on my years of traveling to these facilities and it is always clear to me, what community I feel comfortable in recommending based on the area they are looking, The Foothills is at the top of my list for the surrounding area.

This is a wonderful place to bring you family to live. First off the staff are very personable and dependable. The building is beautiful and the residents and families love it. I would recommend this facility to families. They also do a lot of community events. I say just stop by and see it for yourself.

The Foothills at Simi Valley is a beautiful community. It has been remodel recently and you feel like you are walking into a lobby of a 5 star hotel! The staff are very friendly and makes you feel welcome from the time you enter the community. One of my favorite places is the dinning room, the staff are very courteous and you feel like walking into a high end dining, beautiful decorated. I have been coming to this community for many years and will highly recommended.
