I'm currently a resident now and I'm very happy I came here staff is great food is delicious. the place I came from homestead of Lenexa north sucked very bad compared to HCRO there rating is definitely higher then showed.so I would definitely recommend HCRO for you or your loved one. the place is very clean and the staff here is great.

The facility was clean, nice, and homey unlike some of the facilities I've seen that feel like corporate stockyards for the aged. That personable feeling carries over to their staff. They're like the part of your family that actually likes you. My mom was only here for a small amount of time while rehabbing from hip surgery, but her stay was wonderful. 2 thumbs up!

The staff was very helpful & efficient. We really liked the charge nurse, Amanda for her care, knowledge & insights into our uncle’s care. Also, the social worker, Lexie, was very supportive & helpful in looking out for his ongoing needs. We appreciated all the CNA’s & therapists who assisted in his care & mobility. Our only wish was that there was a way to make his food with less sodium so that he could adhere to his cardiology diet restrictions. Also, d/t his Type I Diabetes restrictions, he was hoping there would have been more choices for desserts, either sugar-free or no-sugar added, aside from the sugar-free Jell-O/puddings that he was offered, Other than that, he enjoyed the food there & he commented that there was a nice variety of dishes served. Overall, it was a good choice for us & we would definitely recommend The HealthCare Resort to others in need of nursing & rehabilitation services.

I highly recommend The Healthcare Resort Of Olathe. During my short stay I was given utmost care. The nurses and staff showed me complete respect. Even during their hectic day, they would stop and ask me how I was were doing and if I needed any help.‘ I enjoyed having the individual and group therapy. The Activity Director (Linda) made sure we had plenty of Activities to do. It was enjoyable. ‘ The meals were good and always on time. ‘‘to the young lady who served us during the day (Linda's daughter) pleasent and always with a smile. ‘And to the gentleman who was there in the evening. We have had great care for our grandmother Margery for her time at HCRO. Amanda W in the assisted living has been a great partner in the care. Becky in the finance office has been an amazing partner in getting kancare approved and working for us. Late life care is very painful to navigate sometimes and some may lash out in reviews or comments. I think the whole team there is doing wonderful with what they have for resources and skills.

My mother has been a resident of the Assisted Living floor for over a year. She is really happy there. She is constantly telling me, I love my little apartment here! The staff is so nice and treat me so good. I really feel safe here! It is a relief to me that she is so happy. So many times I hear my friends complaining about their parents care situations. The entire staff was not only friendly and welcoming, but also professional, efficient, effective, and kind. The food was very good and the facility was kept clean. From the initial referral call with Laura to the seamless admission to the Assisted Living Rehab To Home Apartment with Amanda, we could not have been more pleased! Danielle and The HRO Rehab team are definitely Five Star. The progress made was phenomenal! The additional stay with meals, housekeeping, nursing supervision, and outpatient rehab is exactly what Rose Anne needed to accomplish her goal of getting back home to her apartment. I can’t say enough good things about The Healthcare Resort of Olathe. My soon-to-be 99 year old mother has been a resident there for almost 3 months, first for some rehab and then as a long term care patient. The staff members genuinely care, and they go above and beyond to meet the needs of the residents -physically, socially and emotionally. They have also provided me with much-appreciated support in dealing with some difficult transitions since her stroke in April. I can rest easy knowing she is in good hands, and I am thankful she ended up where she is. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Healthcare Resort to anyone in need of Assisted Living, Rehab, or Skilled Nursing Care.

I was at health Resort for two months. I was there because I had a pick line and was given antibiotics eight times a day, and also had an anabiotic spacer in my hip, which was non-weightbearing. It was a very difficult time for me emotionally as well as physically which I’m sure is the case with most people who are in rehab. I found the staff to be wonderful across-the-board. The staff got to know me and I got to know them overtime. When I arrived at Health resort, I was in a great deal of pain which did subside significantly over my two month stay. I knew that the staff was very busy, but they kept doing their work with kindness and professionalism. I think many times patients see their own situational journey and don’t think about those who care for them who also need to have kindness offered to them. The regular staff strived to get to know my routine and how to move me and care for me the best that they could. They were always very considerate and cautious. I grew to be very fond of many of the people who I regularly saw. I also participated as everyone does with occupational and physical therapy. The therapist were all top notch. They had my best interest in mind, and worked with me where I was pain wise, as well as encouraging me to push a little beyond as I was able. I have only good things to say about them. The only other thing I will touch on is the food service. When I first arrived there, it was in March and the food definitely left something to be desired. However, a new kitchen manager came on in May, and. It was a night and day. The food dramatically improved. Kudos to the new kitchen manager. All in all Health Resort was a very good place to be through my rehab experience. I recommend The Health Resort of Olathe. Suzanne Bastin

My husband was there in their rehab for a little over two weeks. The nurses, aids, therapists & other staff were all very accomodating. The rooms were individual, large w/private bathrooms & showers in each. My husband likes it, saying it is way better than the other ones he has been in. My husband had to return to the hospital because of a medical problem, which the nursing staff caught & insisted he go to the ER for. The nursing staff were on the ball & saved him from mire complicated & potentially deadly medical problems. They have my gratitude for that. On the down side, it is very expensive. The Medicare co-pay is $196 per day, which they not only ask for, but insist that payment be made Up front. This concerned me. How do they estimate how long a rehab stay will be or how much will be owed upon discharge? Do they expect payment for a full month up front? That kind of eliminates working class people don't you think? And being retired and on a fixed income, what do we do when we run out of savings? On the down side, it is very expensive. The Medicare co-pay was $196 per day & they not only expect, but insist on payment up front

Walls of room chipping as if wheelchairs ran into them. Changing room temperature was very difficult. Asked nurses to give me meds during my meals. Didn't happen very often, in fact more often than not I had to request my meds at the end of a meal. Meals were awful. Tried ordering alternatives but didn't get what I asked for. Every condiment and salad dressing were in tightly sealed packages. Many of us at the table had to ask for help just to open these items. Meals were looked forward to as a break in the day. How disappointing that most of the time you couldn't cut the meat or eat the sides. Therapies were very professional .

My mother was in need of assisted living due to a devastating diagnosis of ovarian cancer. She also had to have two colostomy bags attached to her. Her condition put her in need of special care. Our time at the facility was just short of four months. The staff at Health Care Resort of Olathe were amazing. From the front office, the daily nursing staff, the cleaning crew and the cafeteria staff everyone was great. Even though the occasional hiccup would happen the overall experience was positive and I would change nothing. Thank you Health Care Resort of Olathe!

I was at this facility for 9 days after getting out of the hospital for pneumonia. I was fully functional on my own can do everything on my own all they had to do is come in and give me my meds. They do not have enough nurses or staff especially at night and their housekeeper suck. My food tray sat in my room for most 24 hours before someone took them out. Otherwise not a bad place to be it's actually peaceful and the rehab part of it was actually pretty good that they made me work my butt off they don't let you just sit around

I moved both of my elderly parents to the Healthcare Resort of Olathe over a month ago and the experience has been wonderful. The staff is so friendly and courteous, the facility is absolutely wonderful, and my parents are enjoying it tremendously. I was shocked that my parents now go down to "Happy Hour" at the end of the week and were headed down for the Ice Cream activity yesterday! They have managed to make it possible for my parents to meet other people and get to know them in a friendly atmosphere. I can't say enough good about this place, and the staff is truly remarkable.
