Shantel and her staff are ’ responsible for getting my mother walking again. After a fall she didn’t respond well to physical therapy. Once back at Hartland the physical therapists were amazed at her progress and the facility. The environment is very much like family. They know each resident so well and tailor care to best meet those needs.

Our father was at Hartland Specialty Care for more than two years. Shantel Averhart and her care team were always respectful in allowing as much independence as Dad was able to enjoy. This permitted him to retain his identity and dignity. As his care needs increased, the caregivers met his personal needs. I highly recommend Hartland for anyone who is no longer able to care for himself or herself and whose family is challenged by the many and varied needs of their loved one. Shantel and her caring crew offer families an opportunity to enjoy their loved one without worry for the loved one's safety and daily care.

My husband Trey was a resident from the day they opened until he passed away recently. After 7 years of early onset Alzheimer’s home card and other facilities, Hartland is so far to superior to the care of elsewhere in Mobile, Baldwin County and Pensacola. We tried all 3 others and had to keep him at home until Hartland opened. Shantel and her staff cared for him like family and they do for each resident. It is the cleanest place you will ever find no matter when you visit. If you ever see a bad review on here I promise you it is a disgruntled past employee which is rare as most are just outstanding. Trey lived so much healthier and happier with the Hartland family and really so much longer than expected. The price is much more reasonable and you just cannot beat the care anywhere.

I would give 10 stars if I could! My father recently passed away from extremely aggressive/accelerated vascular dementia. Unfortunately he was only a resident for a short time. Owner, Shantell and the Entire staff of Hartland genuinely care and love their residents. We felt like family from day 1. They were always in contact with us about Daddy and up front about his disease progression. Shantell was available any time of day or night for questions or concerns. Even though placement in a memory care facility was difficult, we couldn’t ask for better nurses and caregivers. Every staff member knew us by name and we were always greeted with a smile. We never had to worry about him. The facility is very clean and I personally never smelled that smell that is typically associated with care facilities. When my father’s health deteriorated to the point that most other facilities would require transfer, Shantell insisted that he stay so they could care for him and be close to family. Hartland was the BEST decision we could have made.

A very special place!!! Hartland has been a blessing to our family in this new chapter of my father’s life. The staff, the facility and the location have met all of our expectations. The caregivers are friendly , caring and very supportive to my father and all of us in the family. I wish I could give more stars than just 5!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars for this wonderful place & the entire staff. My brother has been there since they opened. They’ve gone above & beyond in their compassion & care for him & treated him as one of their own. They are the best kept secret in Mobile.
