My father recently had to stay in their skilled nursing unit while recovering from hospitalization. We came to Simpson Place because, while my father had stayed at other nursing homes before, we refused to use them again as there were so many issues with every aspect of his care. HOWEVER, everything at Simpson Place was SO MUCH BETTER. Caring, attentive staff, nurses that were happy to answer all of the family's questions & concerns, dietary that actually paid attention to my father's food allergies & great therapists. He was even able to have his hair/beard trimmed by the stylist while he was there! While we all hope that a return to Simpson Place isn't necessary, it's a HUGE relief to both my father & family to know that Simpson Place is a safe, healthy, caring option for us.

Simpson place has shown some improvement especially in the dining room with the help of Melanie coming to work here she has helped changed attitudes with the CNAs that become much friendlier and Johnny on the spot with their job. What makes this statement hazardous is that they have changed our menu from tier 2 to tier 3 which means our menu options are have become mainly sandwiches. Our situation with the med aides has improved greatly I rarely have any issues these days except the med aide on floor 4 in the afternoon/evening named Sherry. Her attitude is so bad we all be call her Miss Congeniality she is lazy she smarts off to everyone and does not treat the residence with any respect she's very unliked by the whole floor we need to replace her.

Simpson place is a very clean facility i have nothing but praise for the interior however the director Mr.rodgedrick.wallace did me dirty I lived in room # 202 got sick was admitted to baylor hospital lapsed into a coma for 6 weeks when I woke up my family went to Simpson place to claim my property only to be told by mia Mr .wallace clerk that my property had been thrown out well the only problem I had with that story was the items I had I had 6 suits 6 ties and hankies 6 dress shirts 8 casual shirts 2 pea coats 2 pair of crocodile boots 1 pair of Stacy adams dress shoes 2 belts 1 32 inch TV in box a George foreman grill socks a iron underwear bucket of peppermints extension cord bottle of farenheit cologne cam goods dentures a bible a non working cell phone but the sim card was all I needed and bathroom towels Mia his clerk confided to me he took the t.v. suits and George foreman grill home Mia's mom works several employees there are related Mr Wallace offered to give me $300 if I agreed to write a statement that I would except that offer to squash everything LOL from June 2019 until November 2019o have phone call logs to show I called Mr Wallace 102 times never t reach him I have his cell phone number my dead dad left me those crocodile boots I even have texts pleading I want my things or to be compensated fairly I'm blind in my left eye please forgive any misspelled words also I have proof Mr Wallace has been accused of this behavior at least on 4 occasions. Once again the facility is very very clean thank you. B

Simpson place is centrally located in Dallas. This assisted living facility has a well kept high rise campus. While visitor access to the facility is limited during this difficult pandemic, the campus is open for residents to venture out for shopping and other amusements convenient to the Simpson's Place prime location. Simpson Place's management staff is open to innovation and puts the care of their residents front and center in its business and contractual relationships. Anastasia pushes the vendors in her building to reach deeper in order to assure a better outcome for her residents. On numerous trips into this facility I have found the front desk folks to be friendly and helpful on every occasion. Each of the floors is staffed with people who know their patients well and are helpful and responsive.

I called to check on my Grandfather and the girl who answered the phone was very polite. Taylor I believe her name was if I remember correctly. She was very courteous, friendly, helping and patient. Which is very surprising because there has been times I've called in the past and have experienced some not so friendly staff. We just want to know our loved ones are okay and are being taken care of and looked after properly. Taylor really made me feel confident my Grandfather is okay. Ya'll should keep her around.

My mother is so content and has been well cared for at Simpson Place for one year now. What a relief it was to discover the facility in my desperate search to find quality nursing care with a lovely setting that is affordable for the indigent. Prior to coming to Simpson, I was forced to move my mother out of two other assisted living facilities in Texas--one because the owner decided to no longer take Medicaid, the other because the nursing care was practically non-existent. In fact, they went for seven weeks without having even an LVN! Texas regulations for assisted living facilities are some of the lowest in the nation. Simpson Place, however, is the exception, with a director who is striving to do far more than the law allows them to get by with. It's not always perfect, of course, and she will be the first to acknowledge this--which I find refreshing. As an R. N. myself, I've been quick to pick up and report concerns from time to time; and the few times I've done so, the issues have been addressed promptly by persons at whatever level I have registered those concerns.
