How do you people expect employees to live? Average rent now is $1200-$1500 a month. That’s not including utilities, car insurance, gas, food, etc. YOU PAY CAREGIVERS $11 an HOUR. How is this supposed to cover any of these? If an employee works 35 hours a week, that’s $1,550 a month; ONLY $50 MORE THAN MONTHLY RENT. That leaves $50 for the rest of their life. That means salvaging food throughout the month, begging the car doesn’t run out of gas on the highway, and leaving NO money to save and prepare for emergencies/ the near future, etc. Clients often pay $30 even $70 an hour for our services, sometimes more. We are losing sleep, picking up shifts everyday, and still stressing how we’re going to barely make it, but get a cool 11 bucks to thank us for it. It’s absurd! It’s not even living paycheck to paycheck, it’s asking family and friends to spot you a few until you get paid. Do better. Families and our economy is struggling, stop being greedy. $11 is not enough anymore. It’s time you people realize that.

Senior Helpers is amazing! I worked with them for a long time and they are all amazing in the office. Everyone helped me everyday they possibly could! Casey who does the scheduling is amazing! She made sure that I had what I need, a lot of company make you work around the clock to be able to get hours not Senior Helpers they help you work around your kids and school and all so you can make money but have a life too. Casey was one of the most compassionate People that I have ever met, she always called and said how are you and asked about my kids most companies dont do that. She would always says thank you for all you do everytime we talk made me feel so good. Lori the lady in the back was great too she was always smiling and always looked happy. I am sad that I had to leave due to moving but I would recommend them to anyone I know!!
