Palomino Place takes senior enjoyment seriously. We have a variety of activities designed to promote senior health and happiness Located just a few miles hospitals, physicians, and local attractions in Mesquite. The seniors at our community are close to food, shopping, and activities. Hospitals, physicians, and rehab centers are also nearby for seniors who need them.
Every day is an opportunity filled endless choices for our senior residents to enrich their lives. Residents can pursue favorite activities or pursue new ones. Great food for the patients! Creative, delicious but yet nutritious at the same time! The most excellent care of the nursing of nurse MR. kELLY was very rewarding with attentive and compassionate care ,exceded my expectations ! The director of therapy ANGGIE was soo comasionate , intuitive , and knowledgeable! Willing too go above and beyond too help better myself,and stived too full fill my physical needs ,and help give me the resources to help give me a better quality of life! Just wanted to give a special shout-out to the staff at Palomino Place. They are very caring and informative to all care of my dad. My meeting with the team today about his care plan was great. The Social worker Pamela made sure all his needs were taken care of. The Ms. Wilkins and Ashley were very caring and easy to speak with. Destiny at the front desk is the best not a day goes by that she doesn't acknowledge me and my family and I love the fact that she actually gets to go visit with patients.

Activities are wonderful at this facility. Nikki Burt goes out of her way to make sure the residents have a great time daily. They have the best nurses and staff. Melinda Nephew is so friendly and makes sure the residents feel like they are home. Would recommend this facility to anyone wanting their family to feel loved.

My great grandmother was recently at the Palomino Place and received excellent care from the following team members. Ms. Patsy, Ms. Dede, Ms. Shannon, Ms. Yvonne Ms. Rebecca, and last but not least Mr. Kerry all provided exceptional care and support throughout her stay. They all went above and beyond for my great grandmother. I would recommend Palomino Place for any of my family members in need of there services. I do believe she would say this is the best service she has encountered starting on day one.

I had a great experience during my clinical rotation here. The staff, nurses, secretary, and everyone working there were incredibly sweet and great to work with. They were all very welcoming and supportive, and they really helped our class learn a lot during our time there. I also truly enjoyed spending time with the residents and learning about them. They were wonderful to talk to and made the experience even more meaningful. I also want to give a shoutout to the kitchen staff ” they were amazing and always so kind. Chef Ira’s food looked incredible every day! Overall, it was a wonderful learning environment and I really appreciated how friendly and helpful everyone was.

3/4/26 No response from email i sent . No improvements in care made.The 24/7 clinical support is a joke.**Today, 2/16/26, The new director of nursing contacted me. Today is her first day and she is attempting to address all these issues. She assured me that she is investigating and will correct any problems or issues with staffing and the treatment of all patients. I am willing to give her the opportunity to work with the staff , and I agree the M-F 1st shift were doing their jobs, but will continue to monitor his treatment. Ms Tull was very professional and was the first person to contact me about these concerns. I am very hopeful that these issues will be taken care of. — previous review: Family member has been there for 8 days....he has been left in soiled clothing for multiple HOURS multiple times. His call button requests for help are ignored. Twice when I have called the home, the phone wasn't answered for a little over 10 minutes...once the call was picked up but music played for 15 minutes with no one answering or hold message. When I do get to speak with someone they assure me they will take care of the situation and it won't happen again. It just did.. .He called for help at 2:11..at 3:15 a staff member told him there wasn't anyone there yet who could help. Im out of town so I called them and was told they were fully staffed and would check on the problem .

We had such an amazing time during the Thanksgiving Dinner! And i just have to say that me and my famiky really enjoyed the Food and delicious Meal!! The Cheff did an amazing Job. ™ Also the environment was so nice and we felt like Family. What an amazing nigth.

Looking forward to leaving this place behind me, but may possibly be back here in 6-8 weeks to get through. The people have been nice enough, the food is decent too. I visited a while back and it was quite a exquisite experience while there. The fried chicken and Mac N Cheese were so good I didn't want to stop eating it. The Chef Ira Brown of the Culinary Arts Department is exceptional and I know his team is as thorough and adept in the kitchen overall!

It looks wonderful and the staff was so nice the first few days,with the exception of not giving her the medication she’s supposed to be taking.Shes on TPN and they do not take it out and she has to be off of it for more than 12 hours. Shes been here 3 weeks and has yet to see a Dr.They said he comes every week but we haven’t seen one yet.

If you need Rehabilitation I highly recommend this facility. I was a guest for 31 days. The facility is clean, smells good. The staff treats you like a loved family member. The Social Worker, Laura is a gem, very caring and helpful. The OT & PT Team were the absolute best: Angie, Haley. Sharon, and Stephanie. Kind, patient and professional, very effective and efficient, bar to none. The nursing staff was so awesome, they treated me like a beloved family member. Shout out to Margaret, Kelly, Adia (beautiful Ethiopian woman), Vanessa J. and Vanessa, Rebecca, Patsy, Toya, Joanne, if I forgot your name I apologize because all of you girls stole my heart. I’ve seen her interact with the residents the passion and patience she displays is amazing. I have asked to include my family and she’s made sure as much as possible that she’s in attendance. What can I say. I didn't want to leave. Let me start with the rehab team. Stephanie, Haley, Angie and all the other girls caused me to want to cry when I left. They made the hardest part of my stay feel like I was at a party. Their caring and support made me feel loke I had landed in and became a part of a sisterhood. No better could possibly be found at any other rehab center. The nursing staff and patient aids were fantastic. Most of the time ,when I pressed my call button they already knew what I needed. On the day shift I felt like Patsy became my best friend. The medication ’ nurse, Vivian? I think, works so hard she definitely needs a massage given to her so she can relax. The 3-11 and night shift were wonderful. There was a time on the night shift where they were so intoned to me they just automatically brought me ice water and crackers at 330 in the morning. YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL CREW AT PALOMINO. I took the suggestion from my brother n law about how good you were and I will definitely sing your praises to all who will listen. The thing that brings the review down was the food. If I never see another podered egg it will be too soon. They literally made me ill The fried foods need to drain more. The amount of grease almost made them unpalatable. And I never knew what shoe leather was like until I was served an untender pork tenderloin. Oh, and BTW, stemed vegis does not always mean squash and bell peppers tend to be tasted hours after you have eaten them. I really wanted to leave a few recipes for the chefs before I left. I LOVED YOU GUYS. I COULD HAVE USED ANOTHER WEEK. All my love and respect Catherine E Bowman

Palomino Place is wonderful the Nutritional services Director chef Ira Brown is wonderful. He leaves with integrity. He’s always in the dining Room dancing, and singing with the residence. His cook CJ matches his energy. She cooks extremely well. Her food is always so flavorful together. They are a bottle of energy. The nutritional service department serves well with excellent customer service. The food is always hot and flavorful. Great great job Palomino Nutritional services.

This facility has been very great to my uncle. They have shown an excellent amount of improvement over the last 6 weeks involving his wounds. The administrator in training, Z has been very attentive to all of the administrative issues. I would definitely recommend!

Palomino place Rehab is one of the best places i have seen that are very nurturing an attentive to their patients. Nicole the Director of nursing is The best nurse i know, she cares so deeply about all her patients an never stops until they are fully cared for. I visited a family friend here a few weeks ago and had some lunch. Didn't really tour the place but if the cafeteria can speak for the whole facility I will be singing it's praises. I had the best down home meal I've ever had. I promise you it was like my granns was in the kitchen. Extremely friendly staff and got a chance to compliment the head chef. I may have this wrong but I think Ira was his name. Yup, I said "his" name. That man was a magician. Looking forward to going back to visit just to eat again!
