I'll say this, being a Trache patient is hard and sometimes you lack motivation, but the Physical and Occupational therapy team here helps me tremendously. From there energy to the willingness to motivate me to stay active and get better each and everyday. Highly recommended!!

Dad has been at Life Care Center of Elyria for about a year now in Long Term Care. He has received great care! The staff is all very nice and treats the patients with the utmost care. We have been there many times and I have NEVER heard a staff person, nurse, maintenance, cleaning staff, or anyone talk badly to a patient. They treat their patients with respect and dignity and I have been impressed by that! (What they do is difficult and I would be unable to do it!) They walk by Dad in the hall and say Hi Gordon no matter who the staff person is. The medical staff is top-notch and they truly care about the patients. Gena and Reggie are two of his nurses, who I know, and they take great care of Dad. We have a quarterly meeting with Sherri the social worker, Sonia the head nurse, and Alexis the activities director, to get an update on his condition and how he is adjusting to his surroundings. They are all great and love what they do. I can't say enough good things about the people there. I highly recommend Life Care Center of Elyria if you are considering Rehab or Long Term Care.

The staff at Life Care of Elyria treat my brother with respect and compassion. The team in charge of my brother has gone above and beyond in getting Rick the items and services that he is able to get through his insuance. Kaitlyn even dials my phone number for Rick so that he can talk to me. I'm called by a staff member whenever there is a change in Rick's medications. I was even given a call when Rick's roommate was in a dying condition. They were going to move Rick so that he would not be disturbed during the night. How thoughtful! Care conferences are held consistently every 90 days. The care team knows Rick as a person! I too, feel very welcome as I am greeted by the front staff personnel and all whom I encounter on my way to Rick's room. I'm grateful for all that the staff does for Rick. This gives me great peace of mind. THANK YOU, STAFF OF LIFE CARE OF ELYRIA!!!

A family member was admitted to Life Care Center of Elyria for three weeks of rehabilitation in December 2023 and I have been remiss in posting my review. Upon admission, my family member was unable to leave their bed after an injury they suffered, in less than a week they were sitting in a chair and therapy had started. By the second week they were walking to the therapy room with little assistance. By the end of the third week they were almost back to where they were before their injury. I am so grateful for the care and therapy received to help my family member return to home with a level of independence again. Edit 5/19/24...I wish I could have rated a 2nd time but Google will only allow an edit. I just picked up my family member today after a twelve day respite stay. While I was gone for an extended vacation I was confident that they were safe at Lifecare Centers of Elyria. From the moment we walked in with the welcome back comments to everyone (nursing, aides, activity coordinator, housekeeping, and residents) coming to hug and say good-bye, I knew that we made the right choice!! Thank you to EVERYONE for making it feel like coming home!!! I definitely want my family member to come to Elyria for all respite stays...fingers crossed there is availability!

I had a difficult surgery and recovery and came to Life Care Elyria for the rehab. I like the Therapy team. They really worked me over and were very instrumental in getting me back on my feet. Everyone that I encountered was helpful and thoughtful with my situation and did their best to comfort me. The hallways are large and my bathroom had a wide 5 ' shower in it for easy wheelchair access. The building is quite attractive. And it doesnt smell like disinfectant.!But yet it is kept very clean. I would highly recommend this facility.

I have been a resident at Life Care Center of Elyria for 4 years. The staff here is very friendly and obliging, and have come to feel like family. My room is clean, comfy, and cozy. I enjoy participating in the group and individual activities they provide. I am currently the Resident Council President. Im very happy with my decision to make this place my home.

Not good at all. Had to wait almost an hour everytime I rang my light. Food was not good. I asked for no gravy, they put gravy on everything. Sausage half done, and no one does random room checks.

My Grandma was a Resident at the Abbewood and went to Life Care for therapy after a fall. They worked with her to get her stronger to return to her assisted living apartment. It was so nice to have her so close to home so her friends could come and visit. The staff took great care of her and were able to get her home quick.

My husband has been in there 3 times and he goes back tomorrow They are so good to him, I think they have a great staff. From the cleaning lady to the top staff. They are so nice. There therapy people are above the top. Is there more that they could do. Off course there I'd, however they are usually short staffed I really like it. It would not worry me if I had to go therefore treatment
