I used Right At Home for an aide when I came home after major surgery. I stated several times that I had a large dog as I know some people are not comfortable with dogs. I also arranged for my dog to be at the vet so he would not knock me over. They sent a lovely, wonderful woman who was allergic to dogs even though I had stated I had a dog. Unfortunately, his dog hair was still in my house. The aide unfortunately began to suffer an allergy attack, complaining to me about swollen glands, her throat hurting and itchy, tearing eyes. While I needed an aide as it was my first day home after surgery, I could not allow her to stay with me while she was suffering and told the agency rep who visited that I did not need as much help as I thought I would and that she should go. I called the agency the next day to share this and was told by the rep that she had requested an aide who was ok with dogs and did not know what happened This situation put me--the client--in an awkward position of either having the aide stay to help while knowing she was suffering, or letting her go which left me in a bad position as I needed help This was wrong. They should have paid more attention to my request as I needed help. While I give the aide who came to my house 5 stars, the agency gets two for not paying attention to the fact that I have a dog which caused this situation

Right at Home agency sent Janeth to assist my mother for the past two months. She not only was exceptional at providing care but went beyond being a companion and became a true friend. Her compassion was far in excess of anything I or my mother could have anticipated. Additionally, Greg and his staff responded quickly to any issues that came up.

The staff at Right at Home were sensitive to all of my husband's needs. He was seen frequently by the supervising staff and the home health aides were able to provide socialization, companionship, and assistance with bathing and meal preparation. My husband is not easy to please and he was quite comfortable with the care provided.

This agency works hard to cover shifts on short notice and will keep you in the loop so you know whats going on if theres a change of staff.

We were very pleased with Gregg and his staff. We didnt expect a need for a caregiver but with short notice he provided coverage that was caring and professional. Communication with the office was excellent (thanks to Tiffany) and Arlette and Iris were terrific. We hope to not need home care again but if we do Right at Home would be our #1 choice.

I highly recommend Right at Home Nassau Suffolk. Several years ago my sister and I noticed my Mom showing signs of memory loss. We were referred by a friend who had a positive experience with Right at Home. Eileen the owner spent over an hour with me on the phone listening and learning about my Mom. They sent their RN to the house to develop a custom care plan. We started with a few hours a day but over the past several years we have had to expand the days and hours as my Mom has declined. Their Caregivers have been everything we could hope for and more. Marie and Theresa have become like part of our family. Mom loves when they come and they even help get her out of the house several times a week. My sister and i have peace of mind knowing the someone we trust is taking care of Mom when we cant be there!
