Golden Estates goes beyond professionalism and courtesy. Their team helped our family during an extremely tough time when we had to admit my mother into the nursing home. Randi stuck with me throughout the process and her communication skills were excellent. No matter the time she let me know what was needed and going on. She made an extremely hard decision an easy transition. I completely recommend this place to anyone searching for their loved one’s next step. I wish I could give them more stars. I encountered no issues at all. Their facility itself also warmly welcomes residents and engages in so many activities. It’s an added plus they have self care services such as free haircuts. While the decision was hard I’m glad that they were there for the process.

The management team works hard to ensure every resident and patient is well cared for. Admin and social worker does a fabulous job to make sure each patient has all the resources they need upon discharge. April is very knowledgeable and professional. The nurse staff ...what can I say. They are a huge part of overseeing patients. Working together w some of the best CNAs is like a well oiled machine. The veteran staff here knows what everyones doing and that ensures the best care. LO has been here since 2019 w a break due to covid. The staff is like family. They know all their patients buy their first names and they participate in all activities. Good job ‘

Words can not describe the gratitude I feel toward "Felicity" and staff at Golden Estates! Thank you! Thank you! You all are Absolutely Amazing! Our loved one is receiving the BEST CARE here at Golden Estates San Antonio Tx ! Each time we visit, it smells good and looks clean, our loved one is Nice and Clean as well !! He is Very well taken care of !! It's pleasant to walk in a big place where everyone is so friendly including other residents. I Love the nursing staff also even on weekends ! My mother is very happy here and very well taken care off. The staff keeps her and her room clean daily. Most importantly her meds are always given on schedule. Her Care Team address any concerns as they arise promptly and we meet quarterly to review her healthcare plan. She enjoys the staff and the meals. She also likes to participate in the activities like bingo, games, holiday food and music. She has always referred to Golden Estates as her home.

I am in long term care here and I like it. The staff are very attentive and kind. It is easy to voice concerns and they are very prompt at addressing them to the best of their ability. The place is very clean and feels homey. The difference between here and the last place I was at is huge! This place is really nice!!

My brother-in-law Jay just passed away while staying at Golden Estates. He was a difficult person to deal with, but they always treated him with dignity and respect. Before he was at Golden Estates, he was at a place in Bernie which did not treat him well. When Jay reacted to this, they kicked him out and sent him to Psych ward. We rescued Jay from Psych ward and took him to Golden Estates. Despite the problems with the previous place, they accepted Jay as a resident. At the beginning of Jays stay there was a meeting of all the concern parties, including both Jay and my wife, in which they came up with a plan which took everyone's concerns into consideration. Part of the plan was that everyone, including the Director, would knock before entering Jay's room. Golden Estates kept to this promise until the end The place in Bernie never knocked before entering Jay's room. Near the end they did their best to keep Jay comfortable while respecting his wishes for no medical attention. After he passed away, they setup a memorial service attended by my wife and most of the staff. I highly recommend Golden Estates for anyone who needs this type of service for someone they love.

Hello to the Team members here at Golden Estates. My brother Oscar Gonzalez was a patient here. He would often say he had finally found his home a place where he fitted in! Comfort was a word he would often use. Family away from his family is what I felt when I would call to check up on him. I was part of the group that would see pictures of him interacting with others in the facility Group activity was a big thing there that had bingo , uno, religious activities outings! His last days there were a very stressful time. The nursing staff actually everyone was polite and cautiousness and courteous of us. I just can’t say enough about the Team. I want to especially Thank April for taking the time to listen to me about Oscar and the facility. On another note the cleanness of the facility was awesome. The atmosphere was amazing. I wish I could post pictures of my brother here. I will continue to follow Golden Estates cause I feel that they care about everyone single person that enters their doors. On behalf of the Gonzalez family We Thank You.

My mom was here at this facility for about six weeks. The care that was given to her by specific nurses. Kat the RN, who made sure mom had her caramel machiato coffee before she passed Vanessa. Who even though wasn't supposed to give me her phone number. She did so I could check on mom everyday d. Deanna, which cried as much as we did when mom passed and others like Jess who took mom's pulse each and every time we asked, Lindsey, who understood what we were going through and was trying to help us in any way possible. Felicity. The office manager, which was amazing even though this experience was bittersweet because my mom passed. I can honestly say I thank you for your compassion, kindness and love. You are all angels! Thank you for helping mom get her wings. XOXO

My mom moved here this year and it has been the BEST experience ever! She lived at many assisted living facilities before needing more care, nursing home. The admission director Falicity is the first person I have met, navigating the skilled nursing and full time care, that truly knows what she’s doing. If she didn’t have the answers, and needed to ask, I got an answer quickly. Another facility I visited took 5 days to answer the question Golden Estates could in 5 minutes. That’s just intake! I can attest the nursing staff, therapists, med techs, every other staff member is caring, kind, engaging, and wonderful to everyone there. The activity director is off the charts AMAZING!! My mom lived at several assisted living facilities before here, and I guarantee she is the best around. We love Golden Estates so much, my in-laws need skilled nursing and didn’t hesitate to contact Falicity, who worked her magic to help us. I don’t know who gave them the idea of shady practices because it’s a lie. I have lived here and been in the rehab as well. I live here now and I am on the resident Council. The director of this facility is a man of character. If he sees a light on and he’s walking down the hall he answers the bell himself and make sure that it’s taken care of. They have a resident Council were complaints are heard and taken care of. They write up the complaint from there it is taken to the head of that department and the head of that department has to investigate and bring it to the satisfaction of the person making the complaint. If the complaint is not handled then the person filing the complaint does not sign the complaint as to being taken care of. This is then held for the state to take To take care of when they make their inspection. Every month they have lunch with Lee who is the head of the facility. I have yet to know of a complaint that has not been taken care of. They have a wonderful activities program the leader of this program her name is Jennifer she goes beyond what is normally ask of a person to do. The dietary department who’s head is Christine does a wonderful job providing the food she make sure that the needs of the residence are taken care of. She does her best to see that they get what they want within their prescribed diet. I have been at another facility and they were nothing like this one. The rehab department is wonderful. When I first got here they had to use a Hoyer in order to get me out of bed. And now I can get out of bed With little help. I no longer need the Hoyer. I still use a wheelchair but I can walk with the help of the staff and a walker. Do they have problems yes but they take care of their problems they listen to you and they don’t hide things. The directors door is always open. They they listen to the problems and they handle them. The supervisors listen to the problems and they handle them. I know this for a fact because I have taken problems to them and they have handled them in the proper way. And this has meant that some employees get written up, some employees get suspended, and yes some employees have been fired. But it wasn’t because they weren’t given a chance to do right. Because I also know of employees who have been warned and written up and they are still here because they changed and did what was right. I know this is been a long review but I felt it was necessary so that the truth would be told. I told it because I am a resident here and I know the truth.
