I have lived her a little over a month now. And I have some negative things to say about this place. 1. First of all if you go to the Dining room to eat you can expect to wait a long time before your order is take, as much as 30 to 45 minutes. I waited 50 minutes one time before my order was taken. The food is ok, but not really that good overall. 2. The table are not wiped of between people using the tables. It's a real good chance that you will sit at a dirty table. This never happened at Cabridge house of Maryville. The cooks do a pretty god job most of the time. 2a. There will be item listed on the menu and they will not be available. For example, Catfish was listed twice on different days. Guess what no Catfish, the second time I ask the server what kind of fish we were being served. She did not know. Evergreen place has fixer this problem. The menu now just says fried fish. Ther has been quite a few other items listed on the menu. that will not be what you are served. 3. The servers will not come to your table to see if you would like anything else. It looks like this is how they are trained to behave. 4. Some of the CNA. are very nonprofessional, one evening shortly after I moved In, I was not feeling well, and I felt pretty warm. So I called for a CNA. She held the back of her hand to my forehead for about 3 second and informed me that I did not have a tempter (maybe they don't any thermometers) So now I have bought one for my own to use. 5. I take my own medication, but it is delivered her from the pharmacy that Ever green Place uses. just after the 1st of March 2024 two CNA.'s brought me a bottle of pills (my pain medication) It was Norco (a narcotic). The CNA. then ask me if I wanted to party. At first, I did not respond, I did not believe what I had heard her say. Then she repeated herself (do you want to Party. I later told nursing about this. 6. Yesterday the same CNA. knocked on the door across the hall from me. She wanted the resident (a women) to follow her somewhere the older women was using a walker. I heard the CNA say to the women, (you need to walk a lot faster I have a lot to do, and this is a big building). 7. The maintenance people do a pretty good job and get thing fixed quickly. 8. The building administrator tries to do a good job. 9. Fri. 4-5-24 At dinner all of the dining room are dirty. I am sitting here hoping someone will clean my table. As usual my diner plate, my drink and my silver ware are sat before me on a dirty table. 10. 4-14-24 Went to lunch today. All tables dirty, so I ask to have my table cleaned. It was done but you could tell that they would have preferred that I did not ask. 11. I thought that I would talk about the food here at Evergreen Place a little more. This past Sunday 5-5-24 we turkey and dressing for lunch, what ruined the meal is that they put brown gravy (beef gravy) on the turkey and dressing. the server did not tell me that all they had was brown gravy, otherwise I would have said skip the gravy. 12. For dinner the same day, one of the menu items offered was Swiss steak. The sad thing was that the sauce for the Swiss steak consisted of the same brown gravy with diced up fresh tomatoes in it. If you complain about this kind of thing, you will see that they just don't care. Things like this are happening because the Owner of Evergreen Place wants things to be done like this because they are cheap. 13. I was told by the director of nursing, at the last supportive living place that I live at, was that they were paid by the State of Illinois to STORE PEOPLE. Your loved ones need to think about this before they go into supportive living. I will stop writing for now because I am getting tired. 14 Today the lunch menu offered strawberry shortcake. what part of the people received was like a breakfast biscuit with strawberries on top of it. 15. 5/30/2024 One of the items listed on the dinner menu this evening was a Parmesan Ranch Biscuit. They were terrible. They were very dry, crumbly and taste so bad that I could not eat mine if I wanted too.
