I highly recommend looking at, and choosing, Benedictine Living Community in La Crosse. I just moved my mom into the Villas and I cannot say enough good things about all the staff, the facilities, and the amenities. My mother was a long term care nurse, nurse administrator, and early in the home health area, and so my family knows a lot about what constitutes good care and good people. Benedictine is just that. My family feels so blessed to know she is somewhere she enjoys and we know her needs are being met. Thank you to everyone at Benedictine who helped the transition go smoothly especially given the short turnaround time we had and my being out of state. You are appreciated and applauded!

We helped move my aunt into her apartment after a fall. She was ambivalent about losing her independence, but realizes now that she can still live independently but has caring people to help when needed. She enjoys the activities, talking with others and has made new acquaintances quickly. The residents all seem to enjoy living here and watch out for one another as well. The building has been refreshed and the common areas are much brighter and updated. The staff have all been very nice and are quick to answer concerns my aunt and/or the family has. Now that things have settled down a little for my aunt, she tells me she is very happy living there. We live 2.5 hours away so it is such a relief to know that she is happy, safe and has help available if she needs it!

My mom joined this community in September 2025. The staff is wonderful, very friendly, caring and knowledgeable. There is great comfort in knowing someone is available 24/7 to help her if anything happens. The food is very good. Our family has participated in the monthly dinners and have been very impressed with the variety and quality. There are regular daily activities that keep the residents engaged and give them opportunities to socialize. My mom has made friends, and I have seen her smile and laugh a lot since she has lived here.

I am so thankful for the Benedictine Villa’s care of my parents. The sparkle is back in their eyes! Benedictine provides the care they need, good food, fun activities including Happy Hours! They’ve met lots of new people and they have found their own way of spreading joy- baking goodies and making music!

I recently found myself helping an elderly neighbor find the right assisted living facility for his needs. Benedictine stood out for many reasons. They were extremely responsive to my inquiries, helpful and understanding-without being pushy. Our neighbor was very anxious about the move but I am delighted to report that he is adjusting very well all due to the amazing staff! Literally every one of the staff members has gone out of their way to help him feel more comfortable and at home. So if you are looking for the right place for your family member choose Benedictine. After my knee replacement surgery, I spent two weeks at Benedictine recovering. Just wanted to let them know how wonderful they all were from the p.t./o.t. therapists to housekeeping, dietary dept, nurses, CNA's, front desk staff, social worker. They were all excellent. I miss them!

Mom's Parkinson's was beginning to impede on her independence. She researched communities, then we visited and Benedictine was far and above the best. The friendliest, cleanest and most welcoming one we toured. She's been there two weeks and we couldn't be happier with the care she receives. Everyone is friendly, helpful and doing all they can to make her feel at home. 100% the best choice we could have made for her.

Went for family dinner and had a wonderful time. We were entertained by a lively ukulele band, that made the experience even more fun. The following dinner included a lovely sit down meal of tender pulled pork. It really seemed like the residents enjoyed the experience. I saw some dancing and lots of conversations. Overall 10/10!

The entire staff is absolutely amazing! They have helped us get settled in, made sure Bryon is comfortable and aware of all the activities and options available. Every time I come to visit I notice the friendliness of the staff and the residents. It is a well maintained, beautiful community, we are so happy we found Benedictine Villa (assisted living)!

I received a tour of the facility. Beautifully decorated and clean. Friendly staff. Later attended their family monthly dinner. Food was great, dinning room was decorated in picnic theme, door prize was given. Everyone looked like they were having a good time.

Our family just moved a relative needing assisted care into Benedictine Villa. Our entire family has been very impressed with the kindness and compassion of the staff at Benedictine. In many ways they made the move as comfortable as possible for us and our loved one, frequently reaching out to see how they could help with the transition. We visited and evaluated several other assisted living facilities in the La Crosse area, but chose Benedictine because it is smaller, seems to have a warmer and more close-knit community and was the friendliest of all the ones we visited. Benedictine Villa is truly the best place we could have chosen for our relative!

My mother just moved in and so far it’s been the best thing ever. The place is small, warm and inviting and newly remodeled. We looked at another facility that felt too large. The apartment is quiet and my mother is finally getting the care she needs. After a week, she’s made friends, raves about the food and has gone to activities. It’s also quite affordable as assisted livings go. Couldn’t be happier with the process and Lori and Tracy helping along the way. Wonderful place.

The front desk person (rec director) was quick to welcome us and introduce herself when we arrived for tour.

I was in room 303 with a broken femur/hip. I received top notch care from the minute I arrived from Gundersen. PT OT the nurses and aids were excellent! Everyone was respectful friendly and super courteous. I give this facility 10 stars!

My mother has been living in the assisted living facility for the last 7 years. It's a beautiful place. It's small enough so the residents really know each other and they form there own community. The staff is excellent, very attentive and friendly.

My parents both of whom are in the 90s moved to Benedictine Villa on October 1st of last year. They had lived independently before, so there was a period of adjustment. That period of adjustment was made much easier by the professionalism, kindness and caring of the excellent staff of the facility. They show real affection and concern for those living there. As an example, my 93 year old father has troubles with his dentures that limit his ability to chew. Because of his age and existing medical conditions a surgical solution is not possible. The lead cook has taken time to prepare his food in a way that makes it possible to ingest everything, which was not possible in the past. As a result, he has gained nearly 10 pounds since moving to the Villa. There was and is concern for his body weight, which the special care given has addressed. The facility is updated, clean and well maintained. And, I should say something about the other residents and the value they add in the sense that they are friendly, interesting and involved. Taken all together the staff, the facility and the population make the facility a caring, interesting and involved community. I wholeheartedly recommend Benedictine Villa and the services they provide.

I love how the staff treat the residents like they are their loved ones. Very positive employees. A very clean care center. Very active social experiences with daily activities and special outings. If a resident needs something, they or their family just has to ask. If my parents were still alive and needed this type of care, this is where I would feel comfortable with them living.

We moved mom into Benedictine village after she broke her hip and couldn't return to her home. Numerous people I trusted referred us that had already had loved ones that lived there. Mom was scared but the staff at Benedictine made it so nice for her. Her apartment is so nice, facility is so beautiful, clean & well maintained. Staff has been wonderful caring for mom and making her feel at home. We are relieved & grateful! I would definitely recommend Benedictine to someone.

The first thing that caught my attention when I walked into the BLC La Crosse facility was the cleanliness and fresh smell of the skilled nursing facility. I then noticed the staff were hospitable and provided compassionate care to all the residents. It was a happy joyful environment where people enjoyed living and working. That was two years ago, September of 2022, and I have found those first impressions to be true, and further found the passion and dedication of the staff to be authentic. It is Midwest Hospitality on display every day. I am proud to be part of the amazing Benedictine Living Community where people are loved and encouraged to be there best selves.
