1st night here was rough . Now I'm more relaxed & the nurses take real good care of me , most of the aides are perfect for the job , a couple of them should focus a little more on gentleness . But over all right now I'm giving it 5 stars cuz after only 2 nights & 3 days this is where I'm at

Recently visit a few friends’ parents and this place was clean and staff very friendly. The people that I visited were happy, clean and doing well. I now have a family member there and she is improving each day. Family member reported staff were friendly and she is getting the care she needs. Very impressed.

My father was placed here for rehab, every one was so nice and helpful, place smells great and the building is so clean and pretty! He loved the food and even gained weight! He discharged home and is doing great!

My Dad was there for a short time and the got great care from the staff at Beacon Hill. The nurses and aides are very helpful, and the therapists took their time in getting him back on his feet.

The BEST nursing home in Grayson County! We were reluctant to put my mom in a nursing home, but Beacon Hill has exceeded our expectations. The staff here have been so welcoming and helpful since she arrived. We had an initial meeting with the management staff that was very helpful in getting her acclimated and they answered all of our questions. The facility is spacious and always clean. We have been so happy with her stay here and are glad we chose Beacon Hill.

I asked one of the nurses aids to help me with something I couldn't do because I've just had surgery, and she rudely told me to do it myself. I didn't appreciate that. Then the administration didn't make sure my stay was approved and caused me to have a week of "self" pay. That is unacceptable.

I broke my back 3/17/24 and have been in the hospital or rehab since 4/09/24, with the exception of 2 days. My final release date is 8/20/24. YAY!!! I couldn't have asked for better people at Beacon Hill. From the Administration, OT/PT, Nurses, Techs, Activities, Housekeepers, Dietary, Kitchen, Laundry, Servers, we were ALWAYS in communication, especially on my bad days. I have made lifelong bonds. The residents are an awesome mix of cultures. When I have my knee replacement next year, I will definitely go back! Love y'all! Trudy

It was difficult to communicate with key staff, most especially regarding discharge planning for our 84 year old family member. Leading up to the month in skilled nursing at Beacon Hill, our family member had a very serious and life threatening illness and spent a week in ICU, another week in the same acute care hospital, and then several weeks in a rehab facility. Although progress was being made at Beacon Hill, as a concerned family we were looking for collaborative guidance and help trying to make plans to be sure the safest and most appropriate place possible post discharge could be selected, as we felt going home to live alone in a multi level lake house remote from health care facilities was not in anyones best interest. NO ONE contacted anyone in the family to discuss discharge planning in earnest. I had reached out several times to staff and they agreed that our family member needed assistance post discharge, but we never had a group meeting to discuss or had a formal discharge planning meeting with representatives from Beacon Hill. They would say things like "_____ needs consistent help and oversight but is determined to go home'. That is precisely the reason we were seeking their guidance and hoping to meet with them formally as a group including the patient to hear their recommendations. Our family member was discharged to a private car one day and none of us had been informed by Beacon Hill this was going to happen. We had no idea. They advertise the following- and this is a quote from the website: Open communication "Transparency is key. Lines of communication are open so you are kept well-informed and always know what’s important." Didn't happen with us. I put in three calls to their social worker over the span of two days and finally gave up when my calls weren't returned. If you're looking for a place that will keep you in the loop and help make plans for the road ahead, this isn't it. A place like this is only as good as their weakest link and with Beacon Hill its communication. Beware.

Communication with family members is poor at this facility. Follow up to reasonable requests not done. The doctor and NP at this facility are not very good either. My mom did not like this place. It is a pretty building on the outside though.

When I first started looking for a rehab facility for my Dad I was really worried from all the bad stories you hear from senior care facilities. That is not the case at Beacon Hill, I can not say enough great things about how my Father was cared for at Beacon Hill. The admission process was easy and the transfer from the hospital to rehab at Beacon Hill was smooth. My Dad was there for about a month and every time I talked to Him he could not stop talking about how much the staff cared for his needs. They were very professional in all aspects and had a true caring hearts. When the staff found out he was checking out, they all made a point to give him a hub before he left. The private room he had was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was very large which made is easy for him to get around with his walker. The meals were very good and the couple days that I was there I tried the food and it was very good. Much like a normal home cooked meal. It was easy for my Dad to bond with the staff and he developed a great relationship with them all. My Dad said it was easy communicating with the nursing station and the service was prompt. When he had visitors it was a easy check in process for his friends to come see him. He read many book from the Beacon Hill library which kept this mind busy. The rehab staff was great and made sure my Dad stayed focus on this rehab progress. He came in on a bed and walked out on his last day. I got several calls from the staff as to my Dad’s progress when he needed additional assistance. I was very informed as to his progress. I would highly recommend Beacon Hill. My opinion is that this is the best facility in the area.

A great place to be if your in need of health care. The staff is helpful in your personal needs. The medical staff works hard with long hours. They should be paid twice the amount their getting now. The one complaint I and a group of bingo players have is the penny pinchers have stopped us from playing bingo in the activities room and now the game is played in the hall's. Why can't they let the players use the activities room as long as we keep the required distance and wear the required mask. It would a good thing if the big boys would give us the consent to play in the forbidden room. You would make a group of bingo players a very happy team.

This place may be good for some but my mom had bad experience with staff, and now my sister in law has been put in here by my nephew and he doesn't even visit her so he doesn't know or even care about his mom. She stays wet most of time and has scratched herself until she bleeds because of being wet.Everytime my sister and l go they say we just changed her but this is not true. She has been wet everytime we go.Not getting her up out of bed even though she does have her own wheelchair and can be put in it..Very upset and disgruntled...Her and her husband could be together where he is at but it's all about the money for him and his wife. ”

I am so grateful to the staff at Beacon Hill. They took care of my uncle and his team of caregivers/nurses were there for us the day he passed. From the first night we took him there to the final days, the staff were top notch and very supportive of our family's needs. I felt sincere love and compassion for my loved one at each visit.
