I was so impressed with Vassar Comfort Care from the moment I walked in. I arrived at 5 PM, just as the administrator was about to leave, but she greeted me with a warm smile and put everything down to give me a tour. The staff were friendly and welcoming, residents were laughing, and the entire atmosphere felt so comforting. The administrator made what felt like an overwhelming decision so much easier. She answered all my questions with complete honesty and reassurance, making me feel at ease about finding the right place for my loved one. The building was clean and beautifully maintained, and the level of care and compassion was evident. Definitely one of my top choices for quality care! Highly recommend.

I visited Vassar Comfort Care on 2/25/2024 and was warmly greeted by the friendly staff. The administrator’s door was open, and she took the time to meet with me and even gave me a tour. The facility is clean and beautiful, and the residents were having a great time playing bingo. It was wonderful to see the staff engaging so well with the residents”what really stood out was that the administrator even joined in on a game of bingo! You don’t often see administrators taking the time to participate in activities with residents, and it truly showed how much they care. Vassar Comfort Care is an amazing facility with a dedicated and compassionate team. Highly recommend!

We just recently had our dad moved to Vassar Comfort Care and I do not have words for just how wonderful the staff are! Rita, the administrator, Melissa, the activities director and Kim the nurse are absolutely amazing and treat dad like family! With us being out of state we worried about how we would make sure dad was well taken care of but this staff gives us updates as often as we would like and are extremely patient and caring towards dad even with his communication barriers! We needed a facility who actually cares and feel extremely blessed to have found them! (6 years post stroke, 68yo)

I went on a tour yesterday and I just wanna say the building is beautiful, staff were wonderful, and the residents are just as charming. The environment was very cozy and welcoming.

I have been here for about a week now but I can tell you that it's better here than Wellspring. The food is better and they don't serve one person enough food to feed a family. The staff is great and very polite. The rooms are nice and I have my own shower. At Wellspring they take you into the shower . It's a great place for the family members who need assistance to live

I fell in love with this facility the first time I stepped through the door. They have live music, from a wonderful classics artist, they have a kitchen craft craft every Wednesday, bingo on Tuesdays and Thursdays, the residents always seem to have a wonderful time. I work up in the kitchen there and I can say the residents are well taken care of!! We all take pride in our work up there to make it feel like home and give them a wonderful experience!

I’ve had several hospice patients at this facility. It’s beautiful, clean, the staff are friendly, always happy to help, and truly care about their residents. The administrator Emily and Director Amy are passionate about ensuring their residents receive excellent care and are easy to coordinate with when I have questions or concerns. I’d highly recommend to anyone needing to seek assisted living care for their loved ones!

My mom has been at this facility for two years. It is a very pleasant and clean place. We are always greeted at the door with a friendly face. They make it very homey for the residents. We are very happy with the care that she receives. Even though the staff has changed a few times they have always been very good to my mom. We feel very comfortable with the staff and some of them are starting to feel like family. We have gained a great relationship with the aids and are able to reach out to them anytime we feel we need to. A Great place for your loved one if they are not able to be at home.

My mother was diagnosed with an inoperable cancerous brain tumor in July 2023, and we very quickly realized she needed 24 hour care. I wasn’t sure whether or not Vassar Comfort Care even handled patients in this situation but Amy, the Resident Care Director, came to my mother’s home to evaluate her within 2 hours of me visiting the facility, and assured me they could care for her. We weren’t sure how long it might be for us to be able to move her into a room, but Amy and the staff worked so quickly that we were able to move her in within two days of her evaluation. From the moment I began working with Amy, my mind was put at ease and my anxiety lifted. My praise goes out to all the of staff who worked with my mom..from the nurses, to the nurse aides, to the kitchen staff, and everyone else working there. There are not enough words to thank you for all you did for her! Not only did the staff at Vassar Comfort Care take care of my mom with her daily needs, they loved her and treated her with the utmost respect and dignity. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for my mom than what we received from the amazing staff at Vassar Comfort Care. After my mom passed, the staff and I cried together and they all provided comfort to me, and they very respectfully escorted my mom’s remains to the hearse with the funeral home directors. I just couldn’t believe they would have that much love in their hearts to do something as profound as that, all while dealing with their own emotions over her loss. I will forever be grateful to Vassar Comfort Care, first for taking my mom into their care, but mostly for their love and care of my mom, and also their loving kindness they showed me while I was going through this extremely difficult, emotional time. When I left VCC for the last time, I told them all I knew there were Angels I couldn’t see surrounding my mom as she passed away, but the nurse aides were the Angels here on earth I could see, providing their love and care to our family. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

The residence at Comfort Care all speak highly of the facility, the food, and the care they get from the staff. Watching the residence during their breakfast or lunch hours tells the entire story Smiling faces, happy people all getting along and making the best of it. The staff at the facility do an excellent job attending to the residence every need. It would be a place where grandmother should go she hast to receive one on one care.

Vassar Comfort Care is a well managed and clean facility with amazing decorations for the holidays. The staff are wonderful people who care about the residents. It always feels welcoming when you walk inside. The management are friendly and listen to concerns and ideas. Got to come up and visit my mother for the first time since she moved in here. Even on Thanksgiving Day the young ladies working here took care of all my questions and were extremely helpful. A fantastic facility and the assistants working here go above and beyond to be helpful.

Beautiful facility! Amazing caring people! I got to personally experience the love and caring atmosphere they provide for their residents. They are always finding new ways to make their residents feel happy and loved and going above and beyond to do so. Last time I visited they were creating a beautiful outdoor walking and seating area that was safe and relaxing for their residents. Not alot of places out their that would even have an ounce of care but they make sure the residents are their priority!
