It is very difficult when a family has to transition a loved one to long term care or assisted living, in fact it's one of the hardest decisions to make. My Daddy fell just before Thanksgiving and fractured his Pelvis. He had surgery in Huntsville and was moved here for his Rehab. Our family has had the most wonderful experience with everyone at this facility. They have been so caring and compassionate and have provided excellent care. Thank God for places such as this and individuals who have a calling to help others.

The rehab side of this place is wonderful. The long term care is garbage. They should be ashamed of the people they don't hire enough of to take care of the residents here. Also dear God getting a delayed package from these people is like pulling teeth!!!

They bring no butter knives, but that doesn't matter because you don't get butter or salt or jam or any condiments. The doors are locked so you are basically confined. Although you could ask them to let you out then let you back in. But I'm told it's not a prison

I would really give this place a 4 1/2. The staffing right down to house keeping were pleasant and helpful in their care with my dad. The only thing I wish they would consider changing is the meals. They arrive lukewarm if not cold and they aren't very appealing to look at either. We didn't mind much because I was there and just brought his breakfast and lunch to him. Honestly they were good to us.

I am writing this review to express my heartfelt gratitude and deep appreciation for the exceptional care provided for my mother by the team at Glenwood Facility. I would like to thank Susan Mitchell for her outstanding assistance and smooth transition from hospital to the facility. She went overboard to make sure everything was taken care of from paperwork, to communication with the hospital, and continually checking on my mother and the care that she is receiving and continues to check on her. She was a light during some dark days. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that this facility is committed to the highest standards of care and compassion. Every interaction with the staff”whether with administrators, nurses, certified nursing assistants (CNAs), or members of the cleaning and support team”was marked by professionalism, respect, and kindness. The administrators, especially Vanessa Butler, ensured everything ran smoothly and efficiently. They were attentive, responsive, and consistently available to address our questions and concerns. Their leadership and organization made a significant difference in the overall experience. The nursing staff and CNAs, too many names to mention, although I have come to love and know them personally, have provided not only skilled and attentive medical care but also emotional support that brought great comfort to both my mother and our family. Their patience, empathy, and dedication did not go unnoticed, and we are incredibly thankful for their tireless work. I would also like to commend the cleaning, especially Linda, and maintenance staff, whose efforts often go unnoticed. The facility was always clean, comfortable, and welcoming”creating a safe and pleasant environment for my mother. It’s been a few years since I’ve been at Glenwood but I just wanted to say that while I was there I didn’t have the best experience with the nurse practitioner and the food is terrible not nutritional at all but I will say that there are three people who stick out in my mind that made things bearable there Allysa Rose, Serena Smith, and Asena. These there do an amazing job and if I were you I would do what ever I could to keep these people there and happy. I would even have them train the new girls that come in I never had any complaints on these girls and you should be proud to have people of their caliber working for you!

Glenwood is doing their best to care for the residents. They take good care of my Mother If I had a complaint I know who to go to. A review is not where you air your issues or complaints about a CNA, nor name call. Each CNA or Med tech has been good , it’s not like they only have one person to take care of . Mom’ s room is cleaned daily and trash is never piled up unless I create it myself , then I take it upon myself to take it out, also the floor is mopped daily. As far as food goes, some days ok other days ok., they don’t have a 10 star chef. If don’t like it we go get something , but try it because they did what they are required by state

Majority of rehab nurses are lazy and don't want to be here. Not very compassionate for the job they've signed up for. Susan Hart is a CNA who genuinely hates her job. Rolls her eyes when asked to help with a patient. Offers no help when looking for a nurse. Sandra Mason, another CNA, seems to try to help patients but is limited on having any other help.She knew nurse call light had been on for almost an hour when she finally came to the room! Rooms are never cleaned unless you ask for someone to clean the room. Then they're mad that you've asked them to do it. We had to sit trash can in hall floor to get it emptied. Been here 1 week and room has been mopped 1 time. We changed the sheets on the bed 2x and asked for them to be changed 2x. Unless family members are present ALOT, the patient will not get any help. This place has the laziest nurses possible.

I am a bit disappointed with the food,I believe I may have come in at a bad time when the chef is no longer here.i would be more interested to hear the ideas the staff may have to improve things..they may feel trapped in by corporate bureaucracy and feel that their ideas wouldn't be considered but we are all in this together let's not complain let's find better solutions .I really appreciate the staff putting up with me( I am annoying sometimes.(Usually).who can come up with ideas that would improve the facility?

Oh my Goodness This Facility was so good to us while my Uncle Jimmy was Passing .. He passed away today Sept 2nd at 4pm. They had a rolling cart full of sandwiches tea coffee oatmeal pies That was so nice of them to do for us. Plus they put 3 chairs in his room plus a recliner so my sister could Stay te night last night!! We loved the care and attention they gave our Sweet Uncle Jimmy! I would definitely recommend this facility to care for your loved one. They have went above and beyond to care for our loved one & would also check on the well being of my mom when she was there visiting my dad. They cared for my dad like he was their own & we are forever grateful to all out there. They have become our 2nd family & we Love and Appreciate each one there. There’s not enough employees to take care of the amount of patients. Also I’m concerned about the food served. The portions are very small maybe half a cup. Ice is only brought to patients room early in the day one larger styrofoam cup. No lid. None is served with lunch or dinner. The nutritional value is not present in the food provided. I read on Facebook that a chef walked out. There is an opening posted for a chef for the Florence AL location. Please help them

I want to review the staff. My Mother has been here around 11 weeks on rehab side. They have took excellent care of her. She has made friends with all. I wouldn’t want to leave anyone out because all have been very good. However I feel I must thank Susan, Sandra and Thomas for going beyond for her. Mother is still pretty sharp for almost 98 years old she says they take care of me. They took her in and treated her like she was theirs. Thank you.
