Everyone at Brandywine is warm, caring, and flexible. They are aware of changing needs and are very patient with my mother. The staff is respectful and understanding to the residents and family members. I highly recommend this facility. It is clean and their is always a choice at meal time.

Mom has been living at Brandywine Living at The Savoy in Littleneck for a little over a year now. She had initially moved into a residence owned by another company and had lived there for a few months. However, we found their management team to be unsatisfactory and ultimately decided to relocate her to the Brandywine. We are so happy we did this. It was undoubtedly the right decision. It's the people who make the difference. The staff at the Brandywine are caring, responsive, warm, accommodating, and kind. When I walk with Mom around the building, she is constantly being greeted by name. The receptionist at the front desk always compliments Mom on her smile. The activities coordinator is adept at adding engaging fun to each day, whether it be games or crafts or bringing in entertainers for sing alongs--there is always something going on. I love hearing Mom tell stories about what is happening there. The only time the hallways seem to be empty is at meal times. 🙂 I live out of state, on the other side of the country. It makes all the difference to me that people who care are watching over her.

The Brandywine at the Savoy is one of the best facilities that I frequent (at least once a month)! The professionalism of the staff is second to none! They treat each and every resident with the respect and courtesy with which they deserve! My grandmother has been a resident at Brandywine at the Savoy for a few months now and I can't say enough about the facilities and the staff. After months in rehab resulting from a fractured hip, I finally persuaded my suddenly wheelchair-bound elderly aunt that she needed assisted living. But this was at the outset of the pandemic and I, her closest relative, was not physically close. I live in Indonesia. Arranging for a move to an assisted living facility in New York seemed an impossible task... except that the magicians of Brandywine at the Savoy made it possible. Indeed, they made it easy. I shall never be able to express my appreciation adequately to Abby, Andrea, Sheila, Janet, and a host of other members of the community. After all, care is less a matter of venue (although Brandywine is handsome and my aunt's apartment charming) and activities than it is a matter of people and their willingness to provide pro-active personal attention. I continue to be thankful for the people of Brandywine at the Savoy who kept my aunt, now 98, healthy through the pandemic and remarkably strong to this day.

I have been to Brandywine Living at the Savoy many times over the years to perform singing shows for the residents. I witnessed happy residents and clean cheery atmosphere and decor. Donna, the lifestyle director, is the best in the business. She is always providing excellent and creative quality of life providing activities for the residents. Top of the line experience!

My father is at the Brandywine for almost a year now. We are very happy with this facility for him. He stays more to himself, in his room, but they do have a lot of things going on through out the day if your loved one wants to participate. The staff are all wonderful! I have not come across anyone, in any position, that was not courteous and helpful. Always doing their job with a smile!

We researched and visited many assisted living communities for my mother and ultimately selected Brandywine. We love the facility, the staff, and the services that are available to the residents. There are many activities and ways to keep the residents engaged, which is so critical for an aging population. The recreation activities, which included a variety of tactile arts and crafts projects, was particularly inviting as my mom feels calm when focusing on creative projects. In general the care by the staff has been exceptional! Very pleased with our decision.

My mom recently passed away after 11 years living @ Brandywine. She and I loved that she was there! The staff is caring, attentive, connected and understand the role they have. Everyone there was family to her from the top down: Xenia, Asif, Janet, Brittany, all of the nurses, aides (too many to mention), kitchen staff, reception, recreation and all of the other departments. The coordination of care, especially at the end, enabled my mother to die with dignity in her room. I am most thankful for allowing my mother to enjoy the last decade of her life. I would highly recommend Brandywine to anyone looking at any Assisted Living facility.

"My brother in law lived at Brandywine for over two years. I can't say enough about the care he received here! The staff is VERY caring and attentive... always on top of his medications... always greeting him (and our) family on a first name basis... always available and ready to assist in any way possible. The kitchen always adhered to his very specific dietary needs (he had unusual food allergies, diabetes and colitis) AND the food was delicious! The facility SUPER clean. The furnishings are new, clean and comfortable. There were plenty of activities that he enjoyed. And because it's so well run, the other residents were always happy and a pleasure to interact with. He had lived in three other facilities before Brandywine and none could come close to the level of care and quality of life offered here. I would highly recommend this facility without hesitation!"

I worked there for a little over a year as an activity assistant, but at Brandywine it is called an escapades expert. The atmosphere and work culture was very nice in my department, and I simply couldn't have asked for better coworkers. Everyone has each others back and it makes for a very enjoyable work day. It was a very fulfilling job working in a happy place where everyone working there is trying to do what you are doing, make life better for the residents. I look back fondly on my time there and look forward to going back in the near future to volunteer, since I miss my old co-workers and the residents.

My mother spent several quality years living at Brandywine both in assisted living and memory care. She had always resisted the idea of assisted living but from the first day there she loved it. She enjoyed the myriad of physical, and social activities and was involved in everything. She was able to continue her zest for life and thoroughly enjoyed it there. The staff were friendly, compassionate, and very supportive of her needs. She liked taking to me about the numerous events and delicious meals. My mother recently passed and the staff remained equally supportive in following her needs and wishes during this trying time. The staff reached out to me regularly with compassion and information from all levels be it the aides, nurses, or administrative staff. My mother's desires and needs were met and Brandywine made this difficult time comforting and supportive for her and her family. Thank you Brandywine.

My mom recently moved from another assisted living facility to The Brandywine at the Savoy, she has thrived in this facility. The friendly atmosphere of the residents and the staff are the reason why. I could not be happier with everyone. Amy worked on getting my mom into her new home and all the logistics that were required , Janet worked with us on the move in date to organize all her furniture and set up the apt. for maximum space and comfort, and Donna who handles all the events, excursions and entertainment there keeps my mom happy. They are miracle workers. My mom went from the other assisted living, to a hospital, rehab , and then Brandywine, she wasnt in good shape either physically, or mentally. All of these staffers are what make this location special. She has come further than I ever expected. I feel so relieved and am not so worried about her anymore, because I feel she has a life again..

They always make us feel welcomed, and go out of their way to work with us to accommodate grandmas's needs. Staff is great...Nora, Janet and Abby did a great job acclimating my mom. Sherry can be difficult at times but has a good heart. Wellness center keeps on top of appts. The ladies Bibi and Megan assisted me transporting my mom with a warm patient smile. Also the food I thought was awesome. It is presented well and alot of flavor. Plus many items are available all day. Plenty of choices. Communication at the front desk is important to me when I call from Florida to see if mom is ok...Derika, Janice and Jeremy all provide me with comforting information.. I was also impressed with recreation...always something to do. I was there in NY visiting with my mom from florida for 5 days. I observed it all!

I entertain regularly at Brandywine and the seniors are always so happy and full of life. The place is very clean and the staff are always so welcoming and friendly to me. The Recreation staff does so many great activities with the residents and they go on fun trips too. I always look forward to going to there.

Moving my mother, who has Alzheimer's, from independent to assisted living was not an easy decision, but I knew it was the best decision. I met with Rona Siaca at Brandywine at the Savoy, in Little Neck, Queens, NY. She was very welcoming and responsive to every concern and question that I had; and I had many! My mom has now been there for two months and has made a wonderful adjustment to her new home. Every day she tells me how caring and kind everyone is towards her, which is evident upon each visit. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for this type of care!

This facility is amazing to work with. I have volunteered there for 4 months now and I absolutely love it. They treat the residents so well and try very hard to get them involved. They have activities going on all day everyday, something for everyone such as exercises, cognitive games, store trips etc. The staff are incredibly hard working especially when it comes to decorating for events. They think out of the box in order to help make the event amazing for everyone. They also involve holidays that aren't always celebrated such as veterans day, Channukah and Christmas, and more. They have events to get family involved and it is just an amazing experience.

My Mom lived at Brandywine for 2.5 years. I cannot speak highly enough about the warmth, dedication and caring compassion of the staff. They always made us feel welcome, and went out of their way to work with us to accommodate Mom's needs. The facility is clean and well maintained. Although she didn't participate in the social activities and ultimately the assisted living model didn't work for her, we always knew that Mom was safe, comfortable and well cared for at Brandywine.

I suppose it could be worse, so we'll assign 2 stars. Very understaffed. Some staff are nice and helpful and caring, others are useless and clueless. The issue with a place like this is the necessity to rely on the staff and when staff members are unreliable, as was often the case here, it is impossible to feel comfortable with the staff or the environment. I would agree it was probably not the best fit for my mom, it was clear all they wanted was money and all they're after is money, so they either should've never accepted her, or addressed the fact the were unable to properly accommodate her. I highly, highly recommend doing extensive research before entering an elder family member into this type of environment. I suspect a family member it that is fully able to handle themselves and potentially live on their own, but you simply want a senior community for them to live in, this could be a good fit, if you think it's worth an ADDITIONAL $3,000+ per month as compared to standard rent if they we're living on their own. No one is going to encourage them to do activities and participate in the events, so they will need to be willing to do those things on their own. Otherwise, this place is a Complete waste of time and money if you don't have plenty of expendable income.

My parents lived there for 2 years until my mom passed away. The staff are warm, friendly, caring and dedicated. Always happy to stop and chat and listen to whatever stories they had to tell. Always made us feel welcome and happy to accommodate any requests. The only down side- the food was never hot enough. Lukewarm at best. A small price to pay for the outstanding care Brandywine provided for the last 2 years of my mom's life.

My father was a resident in the Reflections memory care unit at the Brandywine but we moved him to the Bristal. Brandywine's unit is small and there isn't even a central gathering place. When the residents are in the locked unit, they just sit lined up in the hall or in the dining room with the TV on. It's depressing Plus, the place smells of urine, making it a miserable place to visit. There are too few workers per resident, and many, although not all, openly wear their frustration on their faces. Meanwhile, the Bristal is beautiful and spacious,, the staff is lovely, the food is good, and the residents are kept busy. They are also free to roam the halls. When I visited the other day, my dad was in the middle of a painting class. We then found a lovely quiet corner to sit in, looking out at some beautiful landscaping. It felt peaceful and pleasant. I feel so much better knowing that my dad will spend his remaining years living in a caring, respectful facility that doesn't strip him of his dignity.

Staff are very nice but they are seriously understaffed. While responses to the individual call button is supposed to be less than 15 minutes this is often not so. It is impossible to get true reviews posted due to concern that it will affect the care of one's parent.
