Bear with me on this review. I feel like I have to give background information of our situation first. My 86 year old mother lived two states away from me with no one there to help her. I kept trying to get her to move near me so she'd have help if/when she needed it but I couldn't get her on board. Then the thing happened that I was dreading. She fell in her driveway…there was no one to help. After crawling back to the house and figuring out how to get herself inside, it was 24 hours before she made it to the phone to call me. Thankfully she didn't break anything but she was hurt and in pain. Of course I drove across two states to check on her. The doctors were of no help… just gave her pain meds and sent her home. She lost her ability to walk unassisted, could not use the restroom by herself, could not dress herself or prepare food. She was in a lot of pain having sciatica down the back of both legs. Despite my mom having insurance that covered in-home physical therapy, we couldn't get it arranged between the incompetency of her doctor's office and the physical therapy office. Her insurance company was of no help either!! (She is not on Medicaid) I was at my wits end! I didn't know what I was going to do!!! I couldn't just stay at my mom's indefinitely and I couldn't bring her to my home. I was so lost, fearful, frustrated, angry, confused. I had just gotten thrust into this situation and had no clue what I was doing and I couldn't find help anywhere!!!!! I was researching the internet, making phone calls and getting no help and no answers. I was so stressed, I was losing weight, losing sleep, feeling hopeless and then I ran across Advantage Private Care and that's when things started to turn around! I honestly didn't even understand how private in-home care worked but I called. They had a live-in caregiver for my mom in no time. Finally, help was on the way. Advantage provided me with so much assistance. Besides getting us caregivers, they also put me in touch with a company who helped me locate assisted living facilities in my area and they did a lot of leg work in finding out pricing and availability. My mom had caregivers through Advantage for three months and I just moved my mom to assisted living in my area. The caregivers helped my mom dress and bathe, assisted her in the bathroom, prepared her meals, cleaned and did laundry. The caregivers and myself had conversations about trying to get my mom strong again and doing as much as she could possibly do on her own. They worked with my mom to get her as independent as she could possibly be. Every visit I made back to my mom's, she was able to do more and more. She was gaining strength and more confidence. She was doing more on her own and her appetite was improving. (She had gotten down to 86 pounds). Now my mom is near me in an assisted living facility and she doesn't even have to call the nurses for help! She can dress herself, put on her shoes, and go to the bathroom unassisted!! And it's all because of the care and hard work from Advantage Private Care. They got her to this point. My mom is thriving at her new home and I owe it all to Advantage. They truly do care and they are professional and kind. Everyone was great and Daniel, the owner, is awesome and hands on. I have no idea where we'd be today if I hadn't found Advantage. I really felt like we were all in this together. I know at times it was hard on my mom to have outside help but it was also hard on the caregivers to try and please my mom at all times as well, especially when you add in some dementia. I will say, private in-home care is not cheap but it was well worth it. And honestly, there was no place my mother could go recover. She didn't need skilled nursing, she didn't need a nursing home, she didn't need to be in the hospital, she doesn't have long term care insurance and she's not on Medicaid, so honestly, the only option we had was in-home private care. My mom was well taken care of and I had peace of mind when I was not there with her. I'll always be grateful for the help they provided us.

Gael was wonderful during a very trying time for our family. She called me after hours when she received my panicked message that my dad was being discharged from the hospital unexpectedly. She showed up the next morning before he was discharged (the day before Thanksgiving!), explained services and pricing and had services booked for when he got home. Fortunately, we didn't need services for long, but I'm so appreciative how responsive they were during a time when we needed help.

Jay and the team are amazing! We were faced with an emergency situation when my mom fell and broke her arm and shoulder badly, she needed 24-7 care pretty much immediately. Advantage jumped on it and had comprehensive care for her almost instantly. The quality of the support staff and those that come to the house to help mom is very high! She is very attached to many of them and they have become friends. I could not recommend Advantage Privat Home Care higher, in a world where often customer focus and service is lacking the opposite is true with them.

Advantage Private Home Care truly came to my rescue when I needed in-home care for my mom after a tragic accident which broke her dominant arm and impaired her short term memory at the age of 76. My mom needed help to bath, prepare meals, reminders to take meds, and just day to day chores. The care coordinator from APHC, Gael, responded to my inquiry immediately and with no hesitations provided assistance and got the care we needed setup immediately. The entire team there was always very responsive when I called and delivered exactly what we asked for throughout the entire process. They are very flexible and will adjust to whatever schedule you need. I highly recommend them if needing reliable, quality, in-home care.

Advantage Private Home Care really came through for our family. We gave them very short notice (our 80 yr old mother had a fall) and they reacted faster than anyone else we tried. Our mother had multiple issues that were very difficult to manage but the CNAs and nurses with Advantage handled them all. I contacted Daniels company in a moment of distress worrying about my mother-in-law caring for my dying father-in-law. He was a source of energy and positivity from that first call. We never got to use Daniels service bc hospice ended up coming out but he and his team were understanding and patient with all the ups and downs we had to go through in booking and canceling with them several times. Advantage took care of my aunt for over 3 years. Their commitment not only to my aunt, but to providing our family with constant communication and an open door for any concerns we might have was truly remarkable. We used several other agencies and Advantage was the only one that created a complete team of my aunt, my family, the caregivers and the front office. They vet their caregivers well, so you can feel good about any of them. But they also work closely with you to tailor the specific needs of your loved one with the best caregiver. Im so thankful for Advantage. We were brand new hospice caregivers for a family member and we needed help quickly. Not only did Daniel, the owner, find a wonderful CNA for us, he also gave us guidance on making sure we got the hospice support we needed. Advantage Private Home Care assisted my mother and family in caring for my father for nearly 3 years. I cannot say thank you enough to them! My father passed away a week ago and during a very difficult time, the caregiver from Advantage went above and beyond to help. This was my first experience with a private home care company, and they set the bar extremely high. Advantage was the 4th company I contacted and the only one that offered a live-in caregiver option for my 91-year old mom with Alzheimers and for a price that was way more affordable than hiring different round-the-clock caregivers. My moms live-in caregiver was amazing - highly competent, professional, kind, compassionate, encouraging, calm, communicative, and intuitive. She was so observant that she recognized when my mom was sick, even before she had a fever, and let me know right away. After one hospital stay, my mom was so weak that I was sure her caregiver couldnt handle her. But she said, Ive taken care of people much worse than your mom. It will be OK. Those were the most incredibly soothing words. And this all happened during the COVID-19 crisis when I couldnt visit my mom at her senior home.
