When my father was no longer able to care for himself and his dementia became worse we were blessed to have been referred to Sea View Adult Family Home. Our coordinator said this is the best place for my father and her favorite. When we toured we were all welcomed as if we were already family. One of the residents said my dad would be loved and well taken care of and she was right. The staff are kind, compassionate, caring and make sure each resident has their needs met. As my father’s needs have increased the transition for more care has been seamless. During the first year of COVID the staff made sure every protocol was followed and since then no staff or resident has become ill. My father is safe and I have peace of mind knowing that he is well taken care of. I cannot thank the staff enough for truly giving my father a home for him to be loved and so well taken care of.

My grandpa lived at Sea View for the last two and a half years of his life (January 2019 – April 2021). When we toured there, one of the residents said that she could not imagine living anywhere else. I can now say that I agree 100% with this sentiment. My grandpa had dementia, as do most of the residents there. Due to this, it did take about 6-12 months before he stopped asking to return home with my grandma. During this transition, the adult family home owners, caregivers, and residents were all very patient and gracious. From day one, the owners worked with our family to tailor to our specific needs. From medication management to furniture to the sugar free syrup that my grandpa always requested, they always made sure that my grandpa was comfortable and well taken care of. When his caregiving needs increased, they worked with us so that he could stay in the home. During the first year of the pandemic, Sea View took every precaution to keep the home safe. Not one of the residents or caregivers got Covid (or was even hospitalized for any reason), which is a testament to their great and diligent care. I felt confident that if anything changed in my grandpas health, the owners would give me a call right away. As I work in the healthcare field and have visited a number of adult family homes, I have very high standards. Sea View provides exceptional care, but most importantly, it lives up to its name, as it truly is a family. My grandpa was surrounded by love during the last years of his life and I will be forever grateful.
