Im Joyce and i have been here for 2 years and 3 months, I love it here I get proper attention from caregivers, the facility is clean and comfortable, the residents are friendly and have a lot to offer then I live prior before living at nurses assisted living. Ill be Leary about going to another facility because another facility may not prove same care and cleanliness as Nurses assisted living do.. / I would like to recommend this facility to my friends

Let me start off by saying that this group home is owned by investors and not by a private individual. The nurse who runs it, Ann, is an employee of the investors and not the owner. My 93 year old dad was hospitalized for pneumonia and could no longer take care of himself afterwards. He needed help standing and walking with his walker, along with basic life skills like bathing himself and toileting. I chose to put him at Nurse's Assisted Living because it was run by a nurse and they said they would work with him on his physical therapy to try to get him as close to where he previously was. When he first got there, they had two very good caregivers. They really knew their stuff and took very good care of my dad. He always looked clean and together. I visited him every day and saw the care he was being given. After about 6 weeks, my dad contracted COVID. I was grateful that he didn't have to go to the hospital and they were able to take care of him at the home. The one downfall was that he declined even more and was no longer able to stand or walk on his own. He required a two person assist and I was told by Ann that he was breaking the staff's backs. Shortly after my dad was out of quarantine, they lost both of their good caregivers and that was when things took a turn. Every day that I went there, I combed his hair and shaved his face because it wasn't being done anymore. I noticed that his hair looked greasier each day I went there. When I asked him if he had a shower that day, he would say that he didn't. He was scheduled for showers on Sunday's and Tuesday's, but we would take him for the day on Sunday, so it wasn't being done that day. I would have to reposition him in his wheelchair every day because he was always slouching. He was also losing a lot of weight and he would ask me not to let him die in that place. Then we had a neurologist appointment that required him to take off his shoes and socks. There was a huge black blister, about two inches in diameter on the heel of his foot. I thought Ann knew about it and didn't want to worry me. About ten days later, he was at our house and I was giving him a sponge bath because he hadn't been bathed in a while. Not only did he have that blister, but he had another pressure sore on his ankle. A couple of days later, the nurse contacted me and told me they had noticed the blister and the sore while giving him a shower. I told her that the blister and the sore had been there for a while. She claimed she had known about it and was treating them. The next day I gave a 30 day notice. I no longer felt comfortable with him being there. Over the next couple of weeks, he got even more sores on his legs. I took my dad out of Nurse's Assisted Living ten days earlier than my notice and put him in a group home that is owned by a Romanian family. I asked Ann if she could give him a shower the day before he left and she refused. She said that I was paying the new place and they could do it. The fact of the matter was that I was still paying her for ten days that he wasn't going to be living there. One of the last days he was at Nurse's Assisted Living, we had a wound care nurse come to the house to start treatment. She told me that she was going to report this to Adult Protective Services because she hadn't seen anything this bad before. I still continue to visit him every day. He has been at the new place for six months and is doing great. He has gained weight, gets showers three times a week, his hair is combed, is clean shaven every day and has a much better outlook. He even smiles and laughs on occasion, which he didn't do before. I feel that they truly care about him at the new home. The blister on his foot will take a long time to heal, but has gotten much smaller, and he has two sores left on his leg from the original eight. I put him at Nurse's Assisted Living based on the 5 star reviews and having a nurse on duty. Had I known it was owned by investors, he wouldn't have gone there. I realized later that some of those reviews might have been written by the nurse herself.

The facility is clean, been to this facility, great staffing, caring staff , great patient ratio, All Residents loves the daily group exercise, mini golf backyard , great activities, great food . I wish to thank Nurses Assisted Living for providing me peace of mind for the care of my father for the final months of his life. I am so incredibly thankful for Annie Pitha’s leadership and empathetic care that she facilitated for my dad. She clearly went above and beyond each day, but especially when dad broke his pelvis and during his final days of life. She treated him like he was member of her family, and who could ask for more than that? I live right down the street from NAL, which made it so convenient to visit frequently and I witnessed compassionate care each time I was there. Each staff member was consistently cheerful, helpful, and attentive. The facility was always clean and organized. When we first toured, the yard was a clear selling point, too. Annie is making sure that residents get exercise, music, birthday parties for each of the residents, and good wholesome food. Honestly, I never once worried about dad not getting what he needed. And with the help of hospice, dad was cared for lovingly and compassionately until his final breath. Thank you most sincerely, Lauren Gundrum

I'm a resident here currently. The Staff here are wonderful and very caring . They have such a wonderful disposition. The facility is nice and clean . Aneki Caregiver is always cleaning or doing something when she is not taking care of residents. I am happy with this place . Activity group exercise daily is good . I am meeting all my needs. I highly recommend this place. The staff are amazing and Anne, the manager is always there every single day, working closely with the care givers to ensure that they deliver the best care. The food is amazing and the facility is very spacious with enough room to host visitors without being in the way.

I live here. The facility food is delicious and prepared daily. The staff are great and very caring. If we have any questions they answer us. Staff helping me to get better everyday so that I can go home. The facility is clean and welcoming. We do have activity every day . We were outside and enjoying the weather . We do our daily group exercise is not my favorite thing but it’s good for all of us to get better. I feel the care they are giving us is wonderful. I highly recommend this facility.

I'm currently a resident here at the NURSES ASSISTED LIVING facility located in Peoria, Arizona; I've been here for about 45 days now. The staff is very friendly and works hard to address my needs in the Dining Hall, in the Laundry Room and during the distribution of medicines. Everyone here enjoys a family atmosphere. The facility is spot-less as the staff continues to clean the rooms and common areas all day long. The food is really good - especially the soups and sandwiches.

Nurse Annie was very accommodating to all of my mother's needs. She has a wonderful team and each of them clearly work very hard to keep all of the residents happy. My name is Sharon Rodin and I've been a patient at this facility for several months. The first month was difficult for me. I am an independent person who is not used to being cared for and bed ridden. However, Annie is a fantastic manager here and my caregiver Julie is gentle and caring. They have become my family in the best meaning of that word - family. The food is good - sometimes it's great - and cleanliness is demanded by Annie who often can be found washing the floor, the bathroom, etc. Annie's nursing expertise has personally helped me by suggestions she would quietly offer to my hospice regarding my wound care. She uses her nursing skills to help me; and does not interfere in my care unless she is convinced that there is another way to treat me which would alleviate pain. Basically, if you need a facility to care for you 24/7 check in to this home. It truly is my home away from home. I can't' recommend it more highly.

Nurse’s Assisted Living is a very clean and organized facility that treats there residence with much respect and care that they deserve. I visited facility and I have to say that the entire staff is very respectful and they take tremendous care for all there patients. They are quick to help with whatever they need. I have never seen a place that is so tentative to there patients and there needs. The entire staff there are very warm hearted and the care that they provide is top notch. This is a place of compassion and love that is unmatched. I’m grateful that there is a facility in Perioa Arizona that gives the kinda care that they provide. They have a great family environment we’re your loved one will feel right at home.

The staff are very nice,very knowledgeable, Nurse Ann is full time nurse manager here , She is great and very helpful . She know all here residents. They are very kind to me. I'm weak now, I can't take care of my self and the girls feed me ,provide the best care you could ever have .The staff share the home life living to all the residents. My Mother is 92 and so happy with the Nurse Annie and all her assistants. They attend to her needs 24/7 and they are so kind and sweet to her. I was worried initially this situation would not work out, but my Mom has adapted well, and the nurse and staff are all so patient with her. In fact, Nurse Annie has given my Mom certain duties, such as opening the door, gathering faxes, setting the table all making my Mother feel worthy and good about herself. This has been a beautiful situation and my brother and I are blessed to have such wonderful caregivers who truly treat their elderly residents with dignity and respect. I would surely recommend Nurses Assisted Living to anyone who has elderly parents that need care around the clock! By the way, my Mother wasn't walking when she first came in, but now she is very mobile. Thanks to physical therapy and the encouragement and strong effort from all the staff!

My sister was hospitalized in Nov 2020 and I came in from Oklahoma to arrange for a care facility for her. It was then Burz's Arrowhead Home Care, and I was very pleased at the facility and the care she got. In July 2021, nurse Ann Pitha became the new owner and the facility was renamed Nurse's Assisted Living. I dealt with Ann extensively during the transfer of ownership and was and still am extremely pleased at her concern for the continuation of care for my sister. She has made several improvements and I often receive pictures of my sister - the last ones in the beautiful new backyard. I am extraordinarily pleased with the whole arrangement, and I am so grateful to have found a very nice place for my sister with caring, considerate people. Having trained medical people on-site is very comforting, especially given how far away I am. And I'll give a shout-out to Sage Hospice, also. They are absolutely awesome. Between them and Ann and her staff, my sister is truly well cared for. Finally, I really like that the facility is in a gated community for additional security. If there was more than five stars in the ratings, Ann would get them! 🙂

My mom stayed here for a month and received excellent care. She wasn't walking when she first went there, and with the help of the caring staff she is now walking and taking care of herself. Annie, the owner is a Registered Nurse and her great attitude is absolutely contagious. I highly recommend Nurse's Assisted Living.

We visited Nurse's assisted living and I must admit we were quite impressed. The facility provides first class life style indoors and out. Three live in staff members and located in a gated community. This one is definitely on the list.

I toured this facility as a potential future Assisted Living home for my mother. Very clean and organized with lots of room. Ann (owner) showed me around, she is very kind and is involved in the business and has a medical (nursing) education/background. The caretakers Chris/Elena are experienced and are very hands on and caring. The facility checks all the boxes, beautiful expansive backyard as well. Very well maintained. Highly recommend.
