Seniorly helped me find a place for my Mom when we moved to Tucson. They listened carefully to what we were seeking and I was not disappointed. Catalina Springs focusses exclusively on memory care and it is apparent in the approach of the staff to residents. They patiently redirect residents in a manner that does not challenge their dignity. They meet residents "where they are" in their journey of losses due to dementia. The team paid close attention to our goals of care which were to remain as active and engaged in day to day life by attending to what interested Mom. They work to build a sense of community among residents and family members who visit. It works! My goal was to find a place where Mom did not have to make any further moves. When the time came the facility and staff coordinated with hospice so that staff that knew and came to love my Mother cared for her until the end of her life. Particularly for individuals with dementia changes in environment and staffing are distressing. Mom and I were cared for by the community that Catalina Springs philosophy promotes. The current director leads by example as she listens to and celebrates the uniqueness of each resident and family.

The caregivers at Catalina Springs are wonderful. They are always polite and pleasant with the patients, and take extra care to see the residents receive a pleasant word. My Charlotte has been there for a month, and we are starting to see signs of adjustment to living there; the caregivers contribute the largest part of that. I hope they keep it up and make everyone feel more at home.

Excellent value for private pay residents and they take altcs! Hope and her team are the best for Memory care and assisted living. Lovely building and views of the Catalina Mountains. I really like that the residents don't have to move out for hospice care. That is really important to us.

Our mother is a resident. The staff is always friendly and treats theresidents with compassion. The facility is clean and secure. During the current pandemic they provide Skype calls with the residents. Forspecial occasions e.g., birthdays, they provide Zoom calls so the entirefamily can take part. The resident nurse and med techs are always happy to discuss with us our mothers condition, needs, medical care when needed. Activities to stimulate residents interest are planned every day.

Taking care of people with dementia is one of the hardest jobs in the world and the staff at Catalina Springs does it very well. My sister-in-law was there for about six months, and she was not an easy resident to deal with, given the nature of her condition. But the staff consistently showed patience, understanding and humor in managing her and her illness and were incredibly responsive to our many questions and phone calls. Because we live 2000 miles away, my husband called frequently to get updates on his sisters condition. The nursing head always made time to talk to us, give us updates and work with us to address any ongoing issues. We came to rely on her good judgment, long experience and proactive suggestions. We were equally impressed with the facilitys executive director who brings a calm demeanor and clear expertise to his work and to addressing resident issues. It is a well-managed place. When we recently visited the facility, we found it immaculate, nicely decorated, comfortable and homey -- not at all institutional in look or feel. Having a family member in an assisted living facility isnt easy, but Catalina Springs makes it much easier than it could otherwise be.

As a placement professional, we have partnered with Catalina Springs on multiple occasions. All of them have been wonderful experiences. This time is often filled with a bit of anxiety for the individual being placed and their family. That said, the staff at Catalina Springs always makes the anxiety fade away with their kind and professional guidance.

From when you first walk into Catalina Springs Memory Care you are welcomed with a warm smile and a heartfelt greeting. My husband has been part of this wonderful community for a little over five months and there has never been a time that I have been disappointed . What has impressed me the most is the energetic enthusiasm of the entire management team which translates into caregivers who genuinely enjoy where they are working. Along with passion for their profession and absolute concern for their residents a family atmosphere created here is second to none! As my husband advances through the stages of Alzheimers I am grateful that I found the Catalina Springs Memory Care. Through this community I have gained the strength and compassion to deal with my own situation as well as other residents and their family members. My idea of memory care facilities has been completely transformed from a catatonic life to an active lifestyle . Each resident is brought into an activity and encouraged to participate in any way that they can. The entire staff exemplifies professionalism at every level and continually amazes me with their positive energy and continual patience. I am proud to call Catalina Springs Memory Care my husbands home.

Let me start by saying, there are a few decent, really nice people here. We really like Terry and Seanashya. In the few weeks my father has been here, they have mistakenly given him SOMEONE ELSES MEDS, which of course is a big deal. He was fine, but the fact that it even occurred is a cause for HUGE concern. Even my fathers nurse said she needed to rip them a new one as this is a big, big deal.Secondly, my family and I showed up for the morning exercise time so we could see what all they did with the residents, and there was NO EMPLOYEE PRESENT during the so-called exercise time, just a You Tube video on while the residents sat in their wheelchairs-or seats, eyes closed. It was most disappointing.My husbands main comment is that he does not see what exactly they are doing to differentiate themselves as a memory Care facility from those facilities that are simply convalescent homes.I will say it appears clean, the wonderful front desk staff helps me talk with my father, but we are disappointed so far that requests for physical movement have not been met.
