I cannot express enough thanks to this beautiful community. The incredible caring staff at all levels , the cleanliness of this community ,the quality of food specially prepared by Chef George gave special attention to those with needed memory care. My 95 year old dad moved from another assisted living community to the Artis Memory Care Community, and I feel like we hit the jackpot! Every administrator, manager, nurse, and care partner, is kind, helpful and patient. My father, who is not the easiest to please, is happy because he feels respected. From day one, Artis Senior Living of Commack has been a great experience for my mom who is 97. She is engaged, well taken care of, and has made friends. She is no longer isolated. The staff and facilities are wonderful. The difference Artis has made in her life and our life is amazing. While the whole staff is amazing, Sophie has been incredible getting my mother to join in activities and make friends. Sophie has a great rapport with every resident.

I am so happy! We looked long and hard for the right place for my mom who has dementia. Artis is it! The place is warm, lovely, clean, cheerful and very welcoming. Even the food is good. Best of all, the staff is pleasant, patient and helpful. Thank you Artis!

Artis Senior Living of Commack is a beautiful community supporting those with Memory Loss. I love the set up of neighborhoods with front doors, beautiful kitchens and living rooms that families can enjoy with their loved one. The staff is amazing! Chef George's food is out of this world and he will also accommodate picky eaters too. The staff is warm and welcoming and really take care such good care of the residents. You feel like HOME when you are at Artis.

My grandmother recently moved into Artis and we have been blown away by the level of care and compassion she has experienced during the transition. From my first meeting with Joanne, after touring many other assisted living communities, it was apparent that Artis was different. They understand dementia in all its many forms and truly care about their residents, helping to ensure they continue to live full lives. Every day, residents benefit from many enrichment activities and even go on regular outings (my grandma especially loves the trips which have included a visit to a local farm, museum and an evening show). If you're considering memory care options, Artis should be on the top of your list–they truly are phenomenal.

Artis has been a godsend to my sister and I. They are the most compassionate and caring facility, engaging the residents in everything from arts and crafts to days out, having lunch at different restaurants, taking them to a production of Elf. The staff are the most professional and amazing caregivers. I could not be more happy with the decision my sister and by selecting Artis for our Mom, they show so much kindness to their residents and to their families. If I could give them ten stars I would. I LOVE Artis, their directors, nursing staff, caregivers and enrichment staff. If you have a family member who requires Memory Care, I would not hesitate one second to recommend Artis of Commack.

My husband John moved into The Artis after being in a hospital for a month with covid and having Lewy Body Dementia in November of 2022. The staff made the transition so easy for us. They are friendly, welcoming and understanding. John is so happy and so much stronger now. He is always showered, dressed and ready for activities everyday. His hair is cut every 2 weeks and he gets a clean shave a few times a week. I visit often and and the staff knows every residence and most family members and welcome all of us to join in activities and really encourage us to enjoy the time with our loved ones. The Artis is clean, and has a warm feeling. Its built like a home and not a facility. The nurses and aids show so much care towards each individual resident. they take an interest in what each person likes and dislikes The chef is friendly , and the meals are well thought out for each resident's needs. Its hard to place a loved ones with Dementia somewhere. My family and i are so grateful for finding the Artis for John and helping us make the best life possible for us and him as we continue this journey

Choosing to move our Dad into an assisted living residence wasn't an easy decision to make. How on earth could he be as happy living in a new and different place with new and different people as he was in his home surrounded by his family? I can say with 100% faith and a very grateful and full heart, that he has transitioned and thrived at the Artis since the day he moved in over 18 months ago. The staff are outstanding, and he is truly in a beautiful, warm, fun, stimulating, and loving new home. Our family sees and knows that he is cared for above and beyond measure. The entire staff knows him, knows us, responds to his and our needs effectively and efficiently - and we are always greeted with smiles and hugs. Moving our Dad to the Artis in Commack was the best decision, and our family is so thankful for each and everyone of the staff and their expertise and kindness. It is truly a wonderful place.

I have been in the elder care business for 20 years, and during that time, I have had the opportunity to check out many Assisted Living facilities here on Long Island. I must say that my experience with the Artis in Commack has been something special. The facility is clean and new, and the layout and amenities offer so much to the residents. Most importantly, the staff and management of the Artis go the extra mile to make sure all the needs are being met. Customer service is a dying art in todays world, but the Artis continues to show caring, compassion and professionalism to its residents, family members, and those who work with them. My highest recommendation.

The staff are amazing from reception to the janitorial staff to the chef. The director and her daughters are empathetic and kind. They are doing a wonderful job with my mother-in-law.
