I have been here almost a year now and coming here was one of the best decisions I have made in the vetting process .The care givers here are 2nd to none They are extremely kind and caring .The food is healthy ,tasty and their are a multitude of choices . In addition there is a plethora of activities a resident can participate in to socialize with fellow residents .I am really going to miss the care givers here when I go back home in a couple months .!!

My mother was a resident at Maple Ridge Memory Care for about four years. We chose Maple Ridge because it felt like home-- the staff were warm and caring and the facility was clean and comfortable. Over the past few years, I have personally witnessed many wonderful improvements to consistency of care, as well as activities and amenities for residents. Mom was able to pass peacefully, in her home-away-from home, under the coordinated care with the Maple Ridge caregivers who knew her well and hospice through UVM Home Health and Hospice. I'm deeply grateful to Maple Ridge for the care and compassion she was shown by so many caregivers who treated her like their own family member.

I am so grateful for the time my father spent at Maple Ridge Memory Care. He was welcomed into the community and given the support he needed to feel comfortable and genuinely at peace. The staff is kind, professional and compassionate. They communicated clearly and consistently, so I was reassured even when I couldn't be there. I would highly recommend Maple Ridge Memory Care to other families.

I can’t say enough good things about this memory care community. From the moment my dad arrived, the staff treated him with genuine kindness, patience, and respect. They took the time to learn who he was ” not just his medical needs, but his personality, his routines, and the little things that made him feel comfortable. The communication with our family was outstanding. We always felt informed, supported, and reassured that he was in capable hands. The facility itself was clean, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed for residents with memory challenges. My dad especially enjoyed the activities and the warm, friendly atmosphere created by the team. Knowing he was safe, engaged, and cared for gave our family tremendous peace of mind. I’m deeply grateful for the compassion and professionalism shown every single day. Highly recommend to any family navigating memory care for a loved one.

I had the opportunity to visit Maple Ridge Lodge, earlier this month, as a possible location for my husband. I found the staff to be especially welcoming, even to the point of having a special "Welcome" sign made for my husband and me. In addition to having a well-planned home environment, Alicia also stressed their educational opportunities, offered at Maple Ridge, for individuals, caregivers, and families to learn more about support services offered for family members. One, in particular, focused on individuals diagnosed with Alzheimers, or dementia. Their outreach programs provide not only individual support, but also local and state resources that are available.

Maple Ridge is a warm, inviting, loving place. The team is both responsive and accommodating. As a community partner, I feel both included in their culture and welcomed. They recently hosted a healthy living event for caregivers and it was awesome!!

It has been a three year journey to have my father choose to move out of his home of 30 years. In all that time I have had many stressful, frustrating, and saddening moments. Throughout the entire process I was amazed at how supportive, and patient, and understanding Alicia Fleming was to be, and to my father. I often felt like it was hopeless but she always encouraging and following through on everything she promised to do. Dad is now in his second week at Maple Ridge and Alicia is still working to assist in his getting comfortable, and succeeding. I could never have made it through without her calming influence. The staff has always been diligent to let me immediately know if there are any issues with my loved one. The food is very good and ample. The activities are engaging to the residence. The nursing staff has been there too. Keep me in touch. All staff are courteous and friendly. The finance office is helpful. In every way thank you. I appreciate the way you take care of your residents.

Moving my mom to Maple Ridge Memory care was a very difficult decision to make. I was told moving her at her present level of dementia could cause severe anxiety and confusion and she probably wouldn’t settle in for several weeks. To our great relief, my mom felt content and at home the first day that she moved in. The entire staff and residents made us feel welcome and assured us my mom would be well taken care of. She has resided at Maple Ridge Memory Care for two months now and we continue to feel that this was the best decision we have made for my mom.

What a blessing it has been since Mom moved into Maple Ridge Memory Care. The staff was immediately so welcoming and friendly. The variety of activities provided is excellent and there is surely something for everyone. In addition, we appreciate how the staff so readily responds to any of our concerns and keeps us updated on Mom's changing needs. We can see that ALL staff work diligently to keep all the residents safe and engaged. I am so thankful we made the decision to move Mom here.

I went over to take a tour of Maple Ridge memory care last week and let me tell you, it is a beautiful place with caring staff! I was in the lobby waiting, having a conversation with the women at the front desk when a gentleman started to throw up in the lobby. I can't tell you how amazing the staff was with this gentleman. They were there so fast, helping him and letting him know it was alright. It was truly amazing to see. You can tell all the staff there are so compassionate and they are all there because they truly LOVE what they do. Was such a nice visit!

My very dear friend is a resident of Maple Ridge in Essex Junction. I visit her, call her, meet her on FaceTime. She receives excellent care medically, socially, and physically. The care providers adapt gently perhaps with a dance or a song. They can bring a laugh to my friend and a tear to my eye. The Concierge team is the welcome committee unifying front door management with the needs of care providers. Life is not perfect, but Maple Ridge keeps the needs of residents, and their families connected. And her dear friends too!

Maple Ridge was a prayer answered. My spouse suffers from dementia, and had become too much to handle at home. I feel the treatment and care that he received while at Maple Ridge, were top quality. I visited quite often, and called when I couldn't come in. All of the staff were very friendly and kind to him. I would (and have) recommend Maple Ridge.

We placed my father in Maple Ridge Memory Care 3 years ago and although an adjustment for all of us, the staff there has been very supportive all along. If we ask questions, they supply answers, everyone is very friendly and helpful. If we offer suggestions, they work with us to make things happen. I love their open door policy, easy access to the nursing staff for questions etc. Our goal is to keep my father at this facility for the duration of his life and I feel he is well taken care of and we feel welcome there anytime, they make all of us feel at home. I have and will continue to refer people looking for placement for their loved one.

Maple Ridge Lodge is an incredibly welcoming community! All the staff knew my mom's name the day she arrived and immediately made her feel comfortable. The apartments are pristine, spacious and cozy. The food is delicious - offering a large menu to choose from. The activity calendar is packed full of wonderful events for the residents and their families to enjoy. The staff is attentive, competent and loving. I am grateful my mom is part of the Maple Ridge Lodge Community - she is well taken care of and her quality of like has greatly improved because of everyone at MRL!

My in-laws 98 and 92 moved in to Maple Ridge Lodge on April 11, this year after deciding that independent living was not going to work for them anymore. My breath was taken away the first time I walked into MRL for a tour and saw the stunning marble fireplace! The staff at MRL helped to make to make this a smooth transition. The wellness team there was ready to start their awesome care of them by discussing what responsibilities my mother in-law was willing to give to them and what she would continue to do (meds, showering, etc.). Maintenance came in to make some adjustments to their closet, etc. The activities team came in to get acquainted and explain some of their programs, of which there are many! The laundry team does their best to keep my mother in-law happy by taking care of their laundry exactly as requested by her, and believe me, there is no one fussier than her! Residents get full use of the laundry room after hours. Every one is so kind and caring to them; LNAs, head nurses, directors, laundry folks, maintenence, activities, concierge folks, dining room staff. They all love to make her smile and that's a hard thing to do! We recently celebrated my father in-law's 98th birthday with 19 family members and all we had our bring was the cake and ice-cream! They made us feel so welcome and went above and beyond what I was hoping for. Thank you everyone at MRL for the security and love that you provide everyday for my in-laws!

After taking care of my Grandmother for almost a year and a half with dementia, it was time to find her a facility. I had researched a few on my own and when the Director reached out from Maple Ridge Memory Care, it felt right. She was incredibly patient with myself and my grandmother. She found a way for my grandmother to move in fairly quickly, until I could figure finances out. My grandmother has since thrived there. She loves all the staff, as do I. Maple Ridge Memory Care, allows her to have the freedom she needs, while also making sure she's engaging with some activities. She's still allowed to make her own choices, which I think is very important for her. Whenever there's a problem, or if I just call to check in, everyone knows what's going on and knows how she's doing. No questions asked. I couldn't be more pleased with finding such a caring-safe place for my grandmother.

The entire experience for my mother has been amazing. The zero pressure tour with Kate was warm and fun. Move in day was amazing. We had a private lunch with mom and they spent so much time to explain everything. The food is amazing. There are daily specials as well as a ton of made to order options. The staff is all welcoming and super attentive. The daily activities are broad, creative and seem endless. The stress I had with Mom living alone has been replaced with the comfort of knowing she is well cared for in a warm and welcoming community. We are so fortunate to have this gem available to our loved ones and I cannot recommend it enough.

My husband and I moved here recently after living in our home for 51 years. I was very worried about this next step in our life’s journey, but the transition has been positive and smooth. The staff are warm and welcoming, the care we get is just right, the food is very good. There are many activities to participate in as much as one wishes. The building itself is beautiful and well maintained. If you are considering assisted living I encourage you to give Mape Ridge a visit.

My mother has thrived at Maple Ridge after a long difficult decline at home due to dementia. The initial transition was challenging due to my mother's medical problems but the staff have been very attentive, caring and nurturing from the beginning. I can feel comfortable that my mother is safe, happy, and well taken care of when I am not there. I highly recommend this facility for anyone looking for a home for their loved one with dementia. My father received negligent care from Maple Ridge Memory Care. He went over a month without an attempted shower, change of clothing or teeth brushed. The minuscule amount of records they keep were clear that he routinely did not receive care outlined on his care plan. The head nurse said about the records “I literally shove them in a drawer & never look at them.” He was forced to use bath towels to clean himself after toileting because they did not keep toilet paper in his room. We delivered feedback to every person on every level but things continued at substandard care. Please read the licensing report dated 10-13-23 before considering this place. 3 months after intake, $50,000 given to Maple Ridge & now we are forced to move due to their negligence.

When my loved one was in a crisis and I needed to find a secure place with people who were knowledgeable and caring, I found Maple Ridge Memory Care. The Director of Community Relations, Jane, was my initial contact and she worked with me to figure out how to make my loved one's placement a possibility while we were going through a lot of transition and and difficult emotional experiences. Once settled in, I was assured my loved one would be able to adjust to the new environment. There were a lot of challenges, but the staff and support from Maple Ridge were comforting to both of us. Alzheimer's is like a cover of darkness that slowly envelopes a person over time. I am so lucky that my loved one is still able to have some positive experiences with our family and awareness of who we are and what is going on around us, but I am also so grateful that in the challenging moments and days, when I can't be there, the staff at Maple Ridge are taking good care of him and I know he is safe. The facility is clean and well kept. There are daily activities with Bekah, and periodic outings or events, and many smiles and words of encouragement. They all really do a wonderful job. Thank you to everybody at Maple Ridge Memory Care! Angela B

My family is very fortunate to have had a relationship with Maple Ridge starting in 2019 when my mother entered memory care and in 2021 when my dad became one of the first residents at the Lodge. The kindness, warmth, respect and understanding which the staff extends to all members of their community is truly remarkable. I have told my children many times these past three years that when the time comes for me to move into senior housing, I hope they find me a residence exactly like Maple Ridge. Thank you, Maple Ridge staff. Your dedication is so appreciated.

I was very conflicted with making the decision to put my mom in an assisted living environment. I can say now that I feel its the best choice I could have made for her. The place is beautiful! The food was great and exciting not what you'd expect in a place like this. The staff are lovely, engaging and attentive. I get the genuine feeling they care about the residents. My mom is so happy there and I get to see all the fun activities she participates in. I just know she's ok there and that means a lot. My family is very happy with our experience and would reccomend to others trying to figure out this tough option for their loved ones.

Maple Ridge Lodge is a gem and we were so fortunate to find them when we needed to find a safer living situation for my mother. The facilities are pristine - it looks and feels more like a fine hotel than an apartment building or assisted living facility. But best of all, the staff is genuinely warm and caring. They check in on my mother regularly, get her to her medical appointments and keep her engaged in the community. We looked at several facilities before deciding hands down on Maple Ridge as it was certainly the best of the bunch. My mother is very happy there.

Chronically short staffed because of low morale. Very few directors are willing to help staff on the floor, leaving unsafe ratios at times. Low morale. High turnover rates. There is no proper training done or license needed to become a care provider here. They lose staff at a much higher rate than they can get them. Staff are not well appreciated here, and it shows in work ethic. COVID protocols are slim to none. It is nearly impossible to find PPE on a good day, and it is unsafe for all. --My personal problem with maple ridge and relevant to travelers who research facilities before they accept a contract.— No overtime available! They removed overtime for travelers, but will continue to ask you to do overtime even though you won’t be paid for it. You have to continuously remind them of their decision. They offered me an extension on my contract here, and I took it because I care about the residents and it was convenient for me being nearly 6 months pregnant and leaving to go on maternity leave in a few months. They then cut me with no notice, leaving me scrambling for a new job while trying to save for maternity leave. No one cared to reach out to me, and completely ghosted me for days and referred me to my recruiter who then told me that they axed my contract because they were “moving from travelers” which they desperately need to keep safe ratios. This was after THEY offered ME an extension, making me feel confident in my income before maternity leave while also being a mother to a two year old. If I’d been given notice, I wouldn’t have been stuck in a bad position. They will cut contracts without notice and they are not afraid to tell you this either. I’ve seen it time and time again, but I didn’t think it would happen to me! Overall as a traveler I did not have a good experience and do not recommend working here.

For two years, my mom lived at Maple Ridge. Much of the staff became her extended family. She bonded with several and for that I'll be forever grateful. Even during the stress of the pandemic, the staff have been kind and patient, and I know my mom proved challenging from time to time. Trust in Maple Ridge to treat your loved one like a cherished family member. They excel at it. I also had the experience of encountering a former staff member during an appointment with my mom at the hospital. My mom had a bit of a meltdown. The skills the med technician gained at Maple Ridge helped diffuse the meltdown so that the appointment went on without issue.
