Before bringing my aunt to Cardinal Village I did a lot of research and a couple of tours. I also have a friend whos mother was here and she loved it. The staff is amazing and always available if you need them. I am extremely happy with the attention and care that my aunt is receiving. There are numerous activities and functions for your loved one here. I am extremely grateful to have found this community for my aunt and a special thanks to Tommy for making this transaction possible and making time for me and my questions even on his days off.

My father-in-law has been a resident of Cardinal Village for 9 months. He has dementia and after he broke his hip, it became quite difficult to care for him. We simply could not have provided the level of care he receives at Cardinal Village. We visited several memory care facilities in the Stafford and Fredericksburg area and hesitated to place him every time. From the moment we met Tommy, we felt comfortable. When we spoke to Denise, we knew he would be in the right hands. Her nursing staff is professional, kind, and devoted. They anticipate all of my father-in-laws needs and always treat him with respect. Thank you and God bless you all.

As you can see from the other comments placing a loved one in a long-term care facility is a difficult decision and in our situation all the more challenging due to an acute need for placement. Tommy Jackson, our liaison, and the other team members of Cardinal, both local and at the corporate level worked with us to make my mother-in-law's transition as smooth and painless as possible. With 40+ years of experience in medicine when I walked into the facility I was immediately impressed with the cleanliness, layout, and amenities. But what impressed me the most was observing the staff and their kind and caring interactions with the current residents. I could tell that this was not for show, but a reflection of the caring and compassion of the team. It is obvious that this is an encompassing approach and a reflection of "excellent and compassion care" is the focus from the leadership down to all members of the team. My mother-in-law transitioned well and has already made friends among the current residents. My wife and I are at peace with this decision. All I can say is Thank you and God Bless to the entire Cardinal Staff.

My family has nothing but praise for the Staff and the care at Cardinal Village. We experienced an emergency placement and needed guidance, patience, and understanding to help us move forward quickly. Thomas Jackson, Marketing and Tracey Hecox, Executive Director worked closely with me to determine needs in order to move the process along. Retired from healthcare I knew to look at the appearance and condition of the clients and the facility. Both were exceptional in my opinion. Upon arrival the Nursing staff were attentive and obviously caring. The clients participating in daily activities were clean and their needs appeared to be well taken care of. I live out of State and my weekly call is answered by professionals updating me on my sisters status. Their social media site has pictures of field trips, art activities and music centric activities. My sister has expressed that she loves all the nurses and has made friends with fellow residents. During our phone calls she repeatedly states that "Everyone is so nice" I could not ask for more.

Good Morning! My mother was just moved to Cardinal Village Memory Care Facility in Fredericksburg, VA. My wife and I feel it is important to share how impressed and pleased we are with the level of care, and professionalism shown by your staff at this location. From the moment we stepped in for a tour, to our first encounter with Brianna at the front desk, it was clear that the staff not only take their jobs extremely seriously but have a strong understanding of the nervousness and apprehension families face when making a move like this. My mother suffers from Alzheimer's & Dementia, with advanced Aphasia. To say we were quite concerned and hurt by her treatment at her previous facility would be an understatement. We were really struggling with how we were going to be able to make the move of her and her physical belongings. We were absolutely SHOCKED when we found out that Thomas, Terry, and Elijah offered to move her belongings from her old facility to Cardinal Village. That allowed us to make the move and focus all our attention on my mother, which we knew was going to be a significant challenge. They not only went above and beyond, but their selfless act made quite an impression on our family. Lastly, I didn't catch the nurse's name when we dropped my mother off, but it was so nice to meet her, and speak to someone who made me feel like my mother was her only patient. In that line of work, that is incredibly hard to do. So please pass along our sincere thanks to her for her kindness and professionalism. it is a pleasure to write this review of Cardinal Village. When I decided I could no longer care for my wife at home I toured several local memory care facilities.They were all nice but as soon as I walked into the Village I was impressed by the upbeat and friendly vibe of the staff. On the facility tour I noticed how clean and organized everything was. The room was a large apartment with a nice bathroom, not at all like a dormitory. I visit pretty much every day and can say the staff from activity director to the nurses and the aides who work with the residents are wonderful. The meals are tasty and well-balanced nutritionally and there are activities planned every day. It is tough leaving a loved one in the hands of others but you can rest easy and sleep well at night knowing your family member is so well taken care of.

Cardinal Village is one of the best memory care communities in the Fredericksburg area. The staff are very caring and compassionate of the residents. There are daily activities to help stimulate the residents minds and bodies. There are weekly outings to get out and see the city. There are monthly employee incentives. The community feels like home from the time you drive onto the property all the way thru your visit.

I am continuously blown away by the caring staff. The residents have a full calendar of activities and they have a very unique software they use where you can see what activities your loved one attended and view photos. Stimulation is so important for our loved ones with cognitive impairment, the reflections therapy room with sensory equipment allows the residents to explore in their environment, is calming and benefits the residents in invaluable ways. I was so happy when I found out that there's another Dementia Nursing Home within my area . The place is absolutely beautiful and clean ; the rooms are big with their own Bathroom, and the staff are so Nice , Caring, and Loving! And this care facility is reasonable priced as well . I was emotionally touched When I was visiting ( especially When I witnessed a Blind Elderly Patient being fed a snack by a nurse aid ) . Overall I am happy for all the residents because they have another beautiful, wonderful place to call home ; one that is so Clean, and overflowing with care by wonderful staff, which is hard to find nowadays! I would 100% recommend Carnival Village to our my customers/ friends who have family with Dementia/Alzheimer's. 

I have visited this Assisted Living so many times. Great place for Memory Care. Building is specifically designed for individuals living with dementia. I like the fact that it is located right across Spotsylvania Regional Hospital. Great Nursing staff on the floor, so compassionate and hardworking. Their room rates are very affordable. Ive only worked there for 2 months and I left. Theres multiple reasons why I did, however, what topped it off was the DON threatening me about my job-license. Because I consistently kept telling her about an ex-worker who was not doing right by the residents. Even wrote a report. She also attempted to walked up on me because I told her about herself and how shes not doing anything for the sake of the residents health because she believed that ex-worker shows the residents compassion. Mind you there were MUILTPLE compliants coming from CNAs, LPNs, and RNs about that ex-worker since the first day the person started. And nothing was being done till someone called corporate. She also has a pattern of walking up on co-workers who put their 2 weeks in or if word gotten back to her that someone is leaving. Theyre workers in that building that actually genuinely care about those residents and theyre workers who are there for a check. The only reason why Im giving it 3 stars is because of those workers that do for the residents with a pure heart and also they have multiple activities for the residents to take part in.
