My father was treated with respect and compassion. The staff are very friendly and have the skills needed to assist elderly people with advanced Dementia. Ellen is the head nurse she is extremely knowledgeable and has the experienced to insure that your loved one will be taken care of. Im so grateful to New Perspective making my Dads final days peaceful.

After having my mom in a couple of other memory care facilities, were thrilled to have her here. Shes been here for over 2 years and what has impressed me most is the fact that every day, they have her (and the other residents) up, dressed and out of her room. The Caregiver staff are really good with her. They prepare good meals and make sure the residents are at the dining room tables for all meals. The building itself is very nice and homey. Theres a beautiful courtyard in back where the residents can sit outside if they want to.The negatives are that the Caregivers really do seem to be a bit overworked and theres been some recent turnover. However, they do have a some of the ladies who have been working there for quite some time. That continuity is really helpful with the residents. Also, in the 2+ years that my mom has been here, theyve had quite a turnover in on-site nurses. They havent been able to fill that position in about a year. Heather is there quite a bit (from the Mequon location) and shes very responsive whenever there are any issues. So having Heather as a contact has worked pretty well for us in the absence of a permanent on-site nurse. Additionally, there dont seem to be many activities any more. With only 2 Caregivers on a shift to do all the work required of them (i.e., getting all residents up, dressed, toileted, meals cooked, dishes, laundry, making beds, passing meds, etc), they just dont have much spare time to provide entertainment and-or activities for the residents.UPDATE: The caregivers were so nice to work with. Our family developed great relationships with them. However, the management is pretty much non-existent. It seems theyre so busy building their mansion facilities, that this beautiful little cottage setting gets nothing put into it. They havent had a dedicated nurse there in well over a year. They cant keep new caregivers because they understaff so badly that nobody wants to work there. The day our mother passed away (at the facility), there was a director and a nurse in the office. Neither ever even spoke with us to offer assistance, condolences or anything else. And today we found out that family of deceased residents arent allowed to come back to visit the caregivers or other residents who we built relationships with!!!! Several residents never get visitors and we would love to continue to visit with them. But apparently, thats not something that the management wants to happen. Such a shame. This small (15 bed) facility is so perfect for dementia patients. If only it was managed better.

My Mother was a resident at this facility for 2-1-2 years. Most of her caregivers were amazing!! We couldnt have asked for more loving and caring people to care for our Mom. Unfortunately, the management leaves much to be desired!!! When Mom passed about a week and a half ago, management seemed like it was an inconvenience to help us to find our Moms Hospice nurse, who gave us time to say goodbye. Today we went back to thank some of the staff and to drop off something that we had that didnt belong to Mom, and we were told that management said that family members of deceased former residents are not allowed to come back. This was very upsetting, as we became close to other residents and to the wonderful caregivers in the time that Mom was there, and would love to stay in touch, but we are not welcome there anymore, now that Mom has passed! Some of the residents have no family, or visitors and we felt it would be nice to pop in occasionally to just see how everyone is doing. Im shocked that management forbids this from happening. The management team could learn so much from the caregivers that work so tirelessly every day, making sure the residents are clean, dressed, fed, exercised, etc. When Mom first got there, the management was present and involved, but over the past year or so, that is not the case. Makes us so sad, as we felt so blessed to have gotten Mom into this facility and then to see where its gone is just a shame.
