Oh my Gosh, where do I start and end? My wife and I moved to Oregon from Florida to find a cure for her early onset dementia. We sold everything we owned to do this. Little did we know, there would never be a cure. I started reaching out for help on Neighborhood platform. This only lasted about 2 years before Mel was no longer able to reason with. With the support of a friend-colleague we found Brookdale. This was scary leaving her there plus I felt like a failure as a wife. Over time, I was sent pictures of my lovely wife laughing, mingling with her friends, and the staff caring deeply for Mel. My worry no longer lingered. Yes, qualifying for Medicaid every few months was quite stressful but the financial team got me through it! My Mel recently passed away on Nov 30th. She was with Jesse, whom loved her dearly. Plus, she was very close to Danni.. These nurses rock Brookdale and your loved one is LITERALLY LOVED AS FAMILY at Brookdale by EVERYONE. The process of moving her into her new life in Heaven went smoothly as well. The funeral parlor and Brookdale are teamed up and well trained to help families get through this ending life process. Brookdale is a place I would have my family live in for sure. Delaney and Tara was always ready to lend a helping hand with the finances. I am forever grateful and I will NEVER FORGET this entire team! EVER! I love all of them. Mel was the age of 65 when she passed. The youngest resident they had ever cared for. I’m now a 53 year old widow and my name is Jenn DeBono. Thank you

My Mom had been to 5 different places. They were all terrible! My Mom has now been at Brookdale Beaverton for 1 year and she loves it there! They specialize in dementia care and have the most caring and considerate staff. My Mom is not a number she is a person and they treat her like one. I took care of my wife for 2 years as her dementia symptoms progressed. When I could no longer take care of her I was devastated. I was referred to Brookdale Beaverton. Brookdale is clean, warm and inviting. The staff is friendly, attentive and helpful. I visit almost every day and when I leave I have peace of mind that she is being well-cared for. I whole-heartedly recommend Brookdale Beaverton should anyone have to make the very difficult decision to find a home for a loved one.

The staff at Brookdale are exceptional. They are compassionate, caring and attentive. I have so much more peace of mind since my mom moved here, because I know she is in good hands. Also, the atmosphere is so nice there. The front area is designed to look like a little town and it’s so pleasant, cheerful and welcoming.

Brookdale Beaverton is a wonderful facility for memory care! ALL of the staff (directors, med techs, caregivers, housekeeping, maintenance) are so kind and caring, and you can tell they are devoted to the best experience possible for their residents. I see so much personal interaction from the staff to the residents. They have many activities throughout the day and I have noticed that they bring out everyone who is up, even people who are not really able to engage in the particular activity, and it is nice to see them there with the community as who knows what they take in. My mom has been there for about 4 months now and it is such a relief that she is getting truly excellent round-the-clock care, much more than we were able to give her at this stage. She often wanders at night and now there is always someone around who is able to watch out for her. We can drop in anytime to visit. The staff are very caring towards us as family as well and are always available for questions. They are also quick to alert us to how she is doing, particularly any changes. The facility itself has a very homey atmosphere and never smells bad. They decorate for the holidays and there are a lot of pictures and other types of things that my mom will notice and point out as we sit or walk around, so there is a lot to engage her. I sincerely doubt you could find a better place for memory care!

When my mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease and needed support, she lived with me as long as she could. When the level of her care reach the point when she could no longer be safely cared for at home, we found Brookdale Senior Living and felt it fit everything we were looing for. The carefully thought out floor plan, the active living environment, the attentive staff, and more gave us a feeling of safety, comfort and peace of mind. The facility was bright, cheerful and had a homey feeling. My mom settled in and appeared happy and engaged as much as she could. The staff at Brookdale living made both my mother's and my transition easier.

Beaverton Brookdale has been home for our mom for the past 2 years and does an amazing job caring for this special elderly population. The individual staff members have patience and kindness, working hard to make each resident comfortable and well cared for. My Mother has been living here for three years and has been very happy. I can't say enough good things about the management team and the care staff. They have been wonderful communicating through Covid and always respond promptly and with compassion if you have any concerns regarding your loved one. They've created a really caring environment for the residents. I have so much respect and admiration for every single staff member as I've watched them work so hard on a daily basis to meet the needs of the residents. I can honestly say that the staff give their best and go above and beyond every single day. My Mother receives great care here and we feel lucky to have her living here.

Dropped in on Dad recently (once it was allowed due to COVID protocols) and found him happy, clean and healthy. We were able to bring some of his personal belongings to his room and found his space organized, tidy and also surprisingly cheerful. It was a random visit and the first time we'd been allowed to his room since COVID. I'd honestly been bracing for some chaos, instead I found care had been taken with his being and belongings. We appreciate the administration and staff at Brookdale Beaverton and observed that they are taking great care of Dad and his friends.

I recently moved my mom from a different care facility to Brookdale Beaverton. It has been a great move so far. The transition was made easily and quickly with so much appreciated help from staff. Even in this short time, my mom's health is improving and I have been able to spend quality time with her.

TL; DR: They're wonderful, caring people and it was a great move for my mom. My elderly mom, who has dementia, had to leave assisted living two years ago because she was starting to need an advanced level of care. That place, which I won't name, surprised me by saying "she needs memory care, but we don't have room for her in ours." After I cooled off, I began the search for her new home. I looked at four places, with Brookdale being the last. I was amazed by the care and concern shown by the then-sales director, Melissa, as well as everyone else I met. (The new sales director, Alethea, is wonderful as well.) The timing was right, the stars aligned, and she was able to get in in short order. Moving an already confused, vulnerable person from the home they've known for five years was daunting, but the folks at Brookdale just stepped in and took over and it was smooth sailing. She's made friends and been happy and well taken care of, and I couldn't be more pleased with the move to Brookdale.

There were no available beds, however Melissa (sales manager), took the time and effort to make calls and inquiries to fellow associates in the industry and referred me to an amazing place with availability. PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING BROOKDALE BEAVERTON: I recognize that when a family is facing the reality of needing residential Alzheimer & Dementia care, there is a lot of emotion and concern surrounding this decision. We didn’t want this, and it is overwhelming when you realize it is time to make this choice. We moved my aunt from another Brookdale community where she had lived in assisted living for 7 years. I wont go into specifics on that facility, but I will tell you that we were very unhappy with the lack of care for her there and were hesitant, if not almost totally resistant to continuing to have her in the Brookdale network. However, Brookdale Beaverton has turned out to be an exceptional facility for us. The routine that has been established for residents keeps the day moving, the facility is clean, the communication is clear, the dedicated staff is wonderful. And its furnished beautifully. We randomly drop by to visit, and have seen that it is consistent in its care. I appreciate the fact that the staff tries different ways to engage my aunt, who is non-verbal, and they dance and sing with her. They animate expression to her, and help her get through her day. She has a rare form of dementia, and I can say that she can often be a difficult person to care for. I have witnessed the staff members placed in very hard positions where she becomes defiant, even combative at times, and they handle these instances carefully and professionally. We are so grateful to the staff at Brookdale Beaverton for all of the efforts that they make on behalf of their residents and how they assess individual care. There are some basics that families need to accept when understanding these kind of environments. Things will go missing, because people shop around. Things disappear, things return. Thats how it goes. Not all the residents will like each other, and they are all in different states of being, while in the same location. It makes it interesting to witness, and I think the staff is absolutely amazing at being able to manage all of these different personalities and realities. Although we wish in our hearts that we could make my aunts condition improve, she is in a decline from which she will not recover. We are very comforted by the care she is receiving, and know that she feels safe and at home there. Thank you to all the staff, from the people cooking and cleaning, the care taking staff, activity directors, med desk, nurses, visiting doctors, and administrators. You have really made us feel like we are in the right place with you all. We don’t worry constantly. You let us know how she is doing, and offer suggestions for support. You are the voice for her that she does not have, and we could not be more grateful for the care you are providing for her. THANK YOU.
