A Truly Exceptional Memory Care Community As a service provider working with senior citizens, I spend a great deal of time in and out of residential care communities. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to see firsthand the difference that compassionate leadership and a caring environment can make. I must say that I am always impressed by Smyrna Memory Care. The residents consistently appear happy, engaged, and genuinely thriving. The community offers frequent activities that are thoughtfully tailored to their abilities and interests. It is evident that the goal is not simply to provide care, but to create an environment where residents can continue to experience purpose, connection, and joy. One of the things that stands out most to me is the involvement of the owner. She is frequently on site and takes the time to personally interact with residents. She knows them by name, speaks with them warmly, and demonstrates a genuine compassion and caring that is immediately noticeable. Having visited many senior residential communities through my work, I can confidently say that Smyrna Memory Care stands out. The atmosphere, resident engagement, and personal involvement of leadership all speak volumes about the quality of care being provided. I would highly recommend Smyrna Memory Care to families looking for a community where their loved one will be treated with dignity, compassion, and genuine care. My Dad has found a home at Smyrna Village Memory Care for two years. The care is person-centered and engaging - it’s obviously the top priority. SVMC is clean and safe, and my Dad loves mealtime and the friends he has made. Nataly and Kayla have helped us navigate hospice for Dad. I always feel welcomed when I come to SVMC. The facility itself stays clean and safe.

When I chose to move my loved one from a facility where he contracted a severe UTI and had to be hospitalized, I had to find another facility immediately. I was totally blessed to find Smyrna Village. His reaction to the facility when taken to his room was "I like this house". Smyrna Village gives a homey safe and secure vibe. The staff is attentive and caring and I am notified immediately of any issues when they occur, no matter the hour. I am also informed of his good days. I love the fact I don't find out about a health or behavior issue days later. I know he is safe, well fed, entertained and kept clean. He even went on outings before his condition declined. I visit often at different times of the day so I KNOW the care and attentiveness are genuine because it never changes. Having my loved one at Smyrna Village definitely gives me peace of mind and provides the constant care that I am unable to give.

I can’t speak highly enough of this memory care center. The staff are not only professional, but also incredibly compassionate and attentive to each individual’s needs. One of the things I truly appreciate is how much effort they put into creating a stimulating and supportive environment. Regular outdoor trips and nature walks are a wonderful part of the program, giving residents a chance to enjoy fresh air and beautiful scenery, which always lifts their spirits. The variety of games and cognitive activities offered help to maintain and even improve memory and mental function in a warm, social setting.

The staff here is absolutely amazing! My dad stays here and they go above and beyond to make sure all his needs are met. They keep them active and do things with them daily. My dad is thriving here the doctors gave him a year to live but he has been here for over a year now and he looks 10 times better now then he did when he first arrived. My mother is in her 4th year at the facility. Many improvements have been done in the last 2 years. The staff and management are much more involved and the facility has done a 180 turn. For an all-inclusive, it is very affordable today. My mother is very comfortable there.

My brother moved to Smyrna Village about a year ago. The place were he was at before was really boring and never tried to help him connect in any way. It look very pretty from the outside and was fancy as well but they only had very old people that he could not relate to. At Smyrna Village he has for the first time belong to a community divided by age groups where he can better participate. Furthermore , the owner and workers are invested and really try to make him happy. Trust me, at the end of the day, a caring place is worth 100% more than the fanciest building you can find. Right? I am very grateful that we found Smyrna Village.

My Mom has been living at Smyrna Village since 2020. The new ownership has been phenomenal! Nataly really cares about the residents at Smyrna Village and it shows in all she’s implemented since taking over from the nutritious food to the outstanding activities and the room upgrades. Not to mention the quick response time when I reach out with a question, which is very important to me. I live out of state and feel completely confident that my mother is being well cared for. Nataly goes above and beyond, I feel like she and the rest of the staff treats my Mom like one of their family members and am thankful for that!

I kept in touch with her for 3 months before we moved mom in. She was extremely kind, patient, and understanding of the long process it can be to make such a hard decision. I am pleased with the way things are turning around with the new owners of Smyrna Village. My grandmother has been a resident there for a year, and in this time frame, they’ve changed ownership. I’ve had the opportunity to meet two of the three owners, one in person on a couple of occasions, and another by phone. I was made aware of the changes that would take place when I first met one of the owners in April of 2022, and I have seen some of those changes take place. I am very pleased to know that one of the changes that took place were the owners changing the lighting, and bringing in ultraviolet lighting. It was explained to me that this lighting helps prevent covid, which as we all know can be detrimental to an elder’s health. They have redone the floors, and painted the walls throughout the facility. They have changed the menu at the facility of what the residents eat. My grandmother is being taken care of at Smyrna Village by caring hands, and hands that want to see her thrive as she goes through vascular dementia. It was not an easy transition as to how she got to Smyrna Village, but I’m pleased with the care that she’s getting thus far. The caretakers there do not treat my grandmother like a baby, and they want to make her as comfortable as she can be. As my grandmother is wheelchair bound and on hospice, they get her up daily, bathe her, wash her hair, help her get dressed, and see that she gets started in her daily activities. If someone were looking for a place to have their loved one be that would make their loved one feel adored, Smyrna Village should be an option.
