My sister and I were looking for a place near one of us for my mother with dementia several years ago. We found Hartwell and they cared for her nearly to the end of her life. We can't say enough good things about Hartwell. The small size and outstanding staff gave her continuity of care, individual attention, participation in activities and new people to be with. Her needs were met with precision. Staff are always responsive to family and work with residents and families in full partnership. There are two unique things about Hartwell. It is a dedicated memory-care facility where staff are trained specifically to work with people at this stage of life. Everyone and everything is devoted to helping individuals like Mom with their different needs. And it is affordable because it is, as one director told us, "a true non-profit," whose sole objective is the well-being of the residents. When Mom required skilled care late in life, Hartwell helped with a seamless transition to Wesley Place which made things easier for her and us. Thank you always, Chicago Methodist Senior Services!

My mother could no longer live independently as of 6 months ago. She has been residing with dignity at Wesley Place. The staff at Wesley Place are kind, helpful and knowledgeable. I feel lucky and am grateful for the loving care my mother receives at Wesley Place on a daily basis. Thank you to all the staff at this wonderful place.
