My stepmom has lived there about a year. It's been a relief that my wife and her sisters can finally relax. The staff has been very patient with her. It's a nice place to visit. Jennifer is nice too, she helped with the move in and still answers alot of our questions.

Sterling Commons is staffed by Angel's. Everyone has treated my family with care, consideration and respect. Good food 24/7. Multiple daily activities. Weekly field trips. Great medical care. Beautician. Clean and safe. Open communication. Small size leads to nearly one to one care. I trust them with my mother's life. Alzheimers steals your dignity, Sterling Commons gives you back your dignity. Thank God and God Bless everyone at Sterling Commons. 11/11/25: An update. Relatives came from out of town to visit my mom. They didn't believe my comments about Sterling Commons until they saw for themselves. Staff were so attentive and Mom looked great. Family left knowing my Mom is in the best place she can be short of heaven. And yes, family took the rest of the fresh baked cinnamon bread with them.

My sister and I reside in Hawaii but my parents opted to live in Victorville, where they have been for forty years. Mom began showing some signs of dementia and it was progressing. It was no longer safe for the two to live alone. I reached out to city, county, and state organizations for elderly and now one was able to help. I was finally referred to Sterling Commons and they have sincerely been angels sent from heaven for my family. They have answered every question I could imagine and provided even more that I did not realize I needed. They have been incredible to me but even more so, to my parents. They treat both mom and dad with the greatest of dignity with an unbelievable positive attitude, no matter how my parents may have misbehaved. I cannot honestly put into words how grateful I truly am to all the staff at Sterling Commons. I managed to get my parents to Hawaii and need some things from California and though they are not obligated to help, they continue to assist me above and beyond the call of duty. I would trust any of my family members requiring memory care, with Sterling Commons.

A couple of months ago, we were in a pretty urgent situation, looking for a safe and caring home for my mother in law. We contacted Sterling Commons and ended up choosing a facility closer to us. Even though we didn’t chose to move her in, I wanted to leave a review because of how great our experience was. We were working from out of state and in contact with Jennifer but never got the opportunity to personally tour. The Commons looked beautiful in the Virtual Video tour she emailed us, and she was so attentive to answering our questions and concerns. She went above and beyond to make sure we understood the process and that all of our concerns were addressed. We only wish this faculty was closer to Temecula. Thanks, Jennifer, for the time and effort you put in for us!!

I was at my dentist and I saw this young man with a client from the facility. The young man was Marcos, and I have to say this man was so patient and kind to the patient that he needs to be acknowledged. If only we can find more people on this field that truly cares as much as he, then our loved ones would be so much safer and secure. God bless those who serve and Marco, you are truly a blessing.

My best wishes and heartfelt gratitude go to the wonderful staff of Sterling Commons! They are doing their best taking care of my sister.
January 2024
My father has been at Sterling Commons in Victorville for about six months. This was the most difficult decision I have ever made. My sister and I shared the care for him in his home for several years, but the time came that he needed specialized care for his well being and safety. Sterling Commons was recommended as the finest dementia facility in the high desert. Debra was the first person I spoke with and immediately I knew my sister and I had to schedule a tour. We discovered such a homey atmosphere and exceptionally clean (very importantly no BAD odors). The transition was very difficult but Debra, Debbie, Sheila, Annie and the entire staff supported all of us in this challenging time. Dad is getting the care he needs and participates in activities he would never do before. It is a comfort that the staff cares for the residents as family.
January 2024
I looked at Sterling Commons after looking at numerous mental care facilities in 2 states and immediately knew that Sterling Commons was the right one for my wife. Immediately following inspection of Sterling Commons facility and meeting with Debbie, Shelia and Debra, the layout, cleanliness, obvious concern of the caregivers is why I chose them. My wife moved in the end of September 2023 and she continues to be very content with the accommodations provided. I have visited my wife on a routine basis and have found the care to be exceptional consistently. My family and I are blessed to have found such an extraordinary facility for my wife and mother of two children, 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, who have also visited numerous times. We feel that we are part of the Sterling Commons Family. Thank You. Jim Mabery

Jennifer and Sheila went above and beyond to accommodate our needs in placing my mother-in-law at their facility. They worked through the weekend and after hours.
January 2024
Mom is very content here. The staff and administrators are all excellent.
January 2024
We absolutely love the atmosphere and professional care Mom receives here! Both supportive and accommodating, either on the grounds or taking her out. So comforting to know, each day, that she is in good hands

Coming from a family that believes in caring for family at home we found after several years our father needed more care then we could provide. After looking at several facilities and weighing all options we decided on Sterling Commons. Although a tough decision we were helped and treated so wonderfully through the transition process. Just like every one you wonder if you made the right decision or not. Every one has been so kind, caring and very attentive to our father and us nervous daughters. We are so happy and know this was the right decision. We can finally be the daughters and enjoy our time with him. The staff is so knowledgeable and able to help when thing arise we need clarification on. The facility is always clean and so many activities for the residents. We love that you can call or show up anytime and never feel your concerns aren’t important. We highly recommend Sterling Commons for loved ones.

I recently had a family member move to Sterling Commons. After looking at lots of different places in the high desert area, Sterling Commons is by far the best around. I simply love that the facility has a real home feel! The resident rooms are located off the common area which have a large kitchen (there's a seperate kitchen where residents meals are prepared), living room with lots of couches and recliners. It is very comforting to know that there are RN's available during the shifts. The facility smells clean each visit! This is a plus in my book! The care providers are always attentive and answer all my questions no matter when I call. Shiela and Debra were so kind in helping me throughout the placement process and beyond, I simply cannot thank them enough! If you are looking for a place for your loved one, look no further! Go check out Sterling Commons Memory Care!
May 2023
Sterling Commons is the best memory care community in the high desert. I am happy to have my family friend at this facility where I know they will get the best care. Thank you so much to all of the staff for all you do.
May 2023
Number one in my book Excellent facility Very caring, clean and top notch
May 2023
We as a family are very happy with the care they provide for our Dad. They treat him like royalty. It's the best place we found in the desert.
May 2023
When mom broke her hip at a previous facility, Sterling Commons became her new home. She can spot kindness & true compassion a mile away, & Commons staff never disappoint. Nurses are exceptional at keeping mom’s family informed of her progress & conditions. She refers to caregivers as her honorary grandchildren. Staff help her FaceTime with us during the week, & mom regularly enjoys lunch with 1 or more of her kids in the private dining room. It takes a village to meet the needs of an aging family member, & Sterling Commons is returning all the love mom gave to us every single day.
May 2023
I live out of state and was visiting a relative that lives at Sterling Commons. All I can say is wow!! From the second I pulled up I could tell this place was top of the line. Thank you for the great care you all give to my uncle.
May 2023
Both of my parents are residents at Sterling Commons. EVERY staff member at Sterling is kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, attentive, fun-loving and extremely good at communicating any needs or concerns they have concerning my parents! Debbie, Debra, Sheila, Annie, all of the nurses, all of the caregivers, the receptionists, the chefs and maintenance workers have always made our family feel welcome, in addition to treating my parents like their family! My husband and I feel blessed to have my parents as residents of Sterling Commons.
May 2023
This is one of the best memory care communities I have encountered. The director of resident services there Shelia is very informative and has a great knowledge of her community and their services. Shelia is always warm and welcoming.
May 2023
Sterling commons memory care is filled with caring compassionate staff . We trusted the commons to care for a family member and they came through providing excellent trained staff to care for our family member . I would highly recommend sterling commons
May 2023
First giving shout outs to Ms. Debra, Ms. Debbie and Ms. Shelia. If it wasn’t for these 3 incredible women working together for our family, Pop’s wouldn’t be in the best HD assist living facility!!! We had such a short period of time to get him moved in from another facility. They welcomed us with open arms with no hesitation. This is truly a Home away from Home for him. He is really enjoying himself there. Kisses and hugs to ALL the staff there!! The Sawyer Family appreciates each and every one of you. Thank You

May 2023
I visited a family member and was impressed by the staff and the care they gave the residents. I liked that there were three different secured courts that are made to keep the residents safe. This is the best memory care facility around!
May 2023
I toured Sterling Commons after my aunt moved in and was very impressed with the staff. Each staff member greeted me with a smile and treated me like a family member. Candice the receptionist was the first person I met and she was very kind. I next met Debbie, Debra, and Shelia. They were all very welcoming and very knowledgeable. I learned a lot about dementia and was very impressed at the care I saw the staff giving the residents. I recommend this community to anyone who has a loved one with dementia.
May 2023
I have a family friend that lives at Sterling Commons. Every time we visit we are amazed with the facility. The staff are welcoming and I’ve seen them give great care to the residents. This is truly an amazing memory care facility.
May 2023
I want to thank the caring staff at Sterling Commons for making my friends end of life care top notch. My dear friend battled with progressive dementia and was able to live the rest of her days at Sterling Commons where I know first hand that she was cared for by the best of the best. Words cannot express the gratitude I have towards everyone at Sterling Commons. Thank you.
May 2023
I visited my relative at Sterling Commons and was amazed at how friendly the staff was and how well the residents were cared for. I came during lunch time and was happy to see my relative getting fed as she is unable to care for herself. Even though she was getting fed and is non verbal, the caregiver was still upholding dignity and respect for my loved one. I would give this community a 10/10 for memory care.
May 2023
I visit Sterling Commons as a vendor for hospice. Every interaction on the property is always a very pleasant experience. From the moment I enter the driveway the landscaping is always very well maintained offering a park life feeling. Upon entering the front door, friendly staff give a warm welcome. There is never a lack of friendly interactions by all staff when walking the center. The center is always sparkling clean. There is never a feeling of doubt or despair, the decor is bright but also calming. All things are well maintained and look like a place I would want to live. The staff here are top notch. You can tell everyone truly cares for the residents and have a passion in making a difference in the lives of the residents. As a vendor, I visit a lot of different places, but Sterling Commons is by far one of my favorites because the staff is so friendly, the facility is well maintained, but most importantly the patients are cared for with exceptional standards of quality of care. Patients look happy, are well kept, and their dignity is maintained by some of the best caretakers in the High Desert area. Well done Sterling Commons, you are leading by example and providing memory patients with the very best care one could wish for.
May 2023
I toured Sterling Commons and when I walked through the door, I was greeted with a kind and welcoming greeting. The community was clean, organized, and beautifully decorated. The residents looked happy and well cared for. The courtyards were well groomed and I particularly liked the Vespa parked indoors. This is an amazing memory community that is doing great things caring for residents with dementia.
May 2023
After searching many places, and understanding the dementia our mom was experiencing, we chose to move our mom to Sterling Commons Memory Care Community. Within one week, she adjusted to her new home and caregivers. She has made friends with other residents and participates in activities. The facility is secure, always very clean, and the staff are attentive. At the begining of each month the activites schedule is shared with us and it allows me to see what my mom is doing each day and even includes her meals. I rely on Sterling Commons staff and caregivers to give me updates on how our mom is doing. The staff are very sympathtic to not only the residents but to family as well. I typically will call the front desk a few times a week for updates on my mom and the staff is always very friendly and sympathetic to my weekly calls or text. Moving our mom into a memory care facility was the most difficult decision my brother and I ever had to make. I was resistant for a long time, however, I now see that 24 hour care is what she needs. I am grateful to the staff, caregivers, and nurses at the Sterling Commons for the attention and for the quality of care give to our mom. Monica M. Molina-Connolly

Everyone's friendly and welcoming. Everyone's so sweet and caring with all patients, it warms my heart to see how sweet they are. It's so clean and beautiful inside and out, the rooms are all uniform, without clutter and no smells. Interaction is awesome with activities. I can't tell you how pleased we are that our loved one is safe and happy. 10 ‘

Unfortunately, as many of us have to make that decision that our Parent’s mind and body are failing. My parents have been at Sterling Commons Memory Care Facility for over a year. The first thing you notice walking into the center is how beautiful and clean it is and everyone is friendly. It brings our family peace of mind knowing that they are in a safe place with 24 hr. nurse(s) and caregivers. The staff are loving and attentive to all The Residents. They play games and other fun activities to help stimulate their minds and body. Also, they have outside entertainment and go on outings. It’s been a Blessing to be able to work together with the entire staff from the Director, nurses, caregivers, etc., to make sure my Parents needs are taken care of. Although no center is perfect, Sterling Commons Memory Care is Top Notch! God Bless All The Caregivers and Support Staff at Sterling Commons Memory Care! Leann Watkins
September 2022
Sterling Commons is a very quality facility with a group of extremely caring staff and Administrators. I know that my husband is being well cared for and treated with compassion, kindness and dignity. Debra has been so kind and caring from my initial call to present. She has made this difficult journey for us much easier to navigate. Debbie has also gone above and beyond to tend to our every need. I truly appreciate their professionalism and excellent care.
September 2022
My Father has been at Sterling Inn for 5 years and Sterling Commons for the past 2 years as his Dementia/Alzheimer’s has increased and he needs more care. I do visit him 3 times a week and one of my brothers visits 2 times. He is always well taken care of and happy. Everyone knows my dads name and he is just content with Sterling Commons, which makes me feel at ease.
September 2022
We have been very pleased with the personal care and attentiveness of staff at the Sterling Commons. They truly love their residents and it shows!
September 2022
Our mother has been in Sterling Commons Memory Care now for 5 years. She's 100 years old and wheelchair bound. She is happy whenever we see her. She is clean and smells clean. She requires complete care at this point and it is provided with a smile and they really care about her. They are always open to anything we are concerned about and take care of it. We can't honestly think of any other place that she would get the care she gets here.
August 2022
An excellent facility and caring staff. I live out of state and they are so conscientious about keeping me abreast of my mother's well-being. Always willing to go the extra mile when I schedule a visit they make sure we have a quiet place to visit mom.
August 2022
Sterling Commons is the first and only Memory Care facility that I have used to provide care for my wife. What was needed I did not exactly know; but after my wife's son and his wife toured the Victorville facility, and what I viewed on the website I knew this was what was needed. My wife's stay there has rewarded her with happy feelings of security, loving care, and a sense of family. That; she can't verbalize but with our visits we can visualize it. All the good that has been accomplished for my wife is the results of years of experience being used, taught and expanded on. The pluses for me are: a RN 24/7, having in house caregivers, (not staffing through an agency), any question I have asked has been answered directly from whom ever I poised the question to, when ever I asked to talk to the nurse one has responded within a reasonable time. This experience for me has taken a lot of stress away from me. Thank you.
December 2020
Sterling Commons is the ONLY place that I would trust with my mom. My Grandpa (her dad) had Altzheimer's and somehow my mom found Sterling Commons for him. They treat every resident like family. My mom always said that if she needed to go to a Memory Care Facility that she would only want to live in Sterling Commons. She told me that all the time, so when the time came that she needed more care than I could give her, I felt relieved that this was the place she chose. We both visited my Grandpa all the time so we knew what a great place it is. Not only do they treat the residents like family, but they treat the resident's family like family. The food is excellent and their family room has recliners for the residents to sit in. If a resident is in a wheelchair they get helped to a recliner so that they are comfortable and interact. Especially now with COVID and not being able to visit her every day, I know that they are taking great care of her both physically and mentally!
December 2020
Sterling Commons is a very homey place with excellent care providers. My mother has never sounded so good when talking with her. Her nutrition has improved and she has gained some weight back looking healthy and aware of her surroundings. The community is always super clean. Whenever I have had any issues concerning my mother, Sterling Commons has helped me with finding the best possible solutions. I would highly recommend it for memory care residents.
August 2019
This is a very clean, safe and welcoming home for the elderly. I recommend them as first choice in the High Desert.
May 2019
Sterling Commons has surpassed all my wishes and expectation for my mom. The staff is amazing! Debra has been wonderful to work with, she has been so gracious and caring while working with us through every step of the process to get mom settled and always has a smile for us. She is a gem! Then there is Bree and the other assistants at the front desk who are so great at fielding calls and getting things done, even making sure my mom got her items I left for her. Of course I can’t forget the nursing staff they are stellar because they have been able to help mom do and accomplish so many things that were difficult for her. The food service is wonderful. The cleaning staff makes Sterling Commons a beautiful place to visit and want to have our mom Thank you for having such an amazing group of people!!!
May 2019
My mother is experiencing many medical problems including dementia and we were looking for an environment that would suit her needs in her remaining years and we couldn’t be happier with Sterling Commons in Victorville. Our first contact was with Debra and she is the reason we chose the facility. She was so helpful and a genuine caring person. When we brought my mom in Debra welcomed her with open arms, literally. Debra even assisted me in finding the best hospice care service for my mom. The staff goes out of their way to make new residents feel at home and are extremely helpful in diagnosing and solving medical problems. The 24-hour nurses make caring for mom a pleasurable experience. The activities are real and I believe a necessity for elderly folks that have seemed to lose their purpose. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone who wants their loved one to be cared for in a thoughtful and caring manner.
May 2019
I would like to thank everyone at Sterling Commons for helping my family in Mom's transition from her previous residence in Reno to here. There has been help and encouragement from everyone I have come into contact with. The caregivers have been wonderful with my Mom and the peace knowing that she is well cared for around the clock has been a God send!

My dad was a resident there for a week of respit care. He loved it there so much he refused to get out of bed, talk with us or take in nutrition for a day or so all because he didn't want to come home. He said after he made a friend there. I went to S.C facility to pick up some belongings that got left behind and the environment is a home setting. There was no odor and was immaculate. The staff that assisted me we're polite and helpful. I met one of the c.n.a's that assisted my dad. I believe her name was Alicia or ashley, anyway she was a nice lady with the heart and compassion that is needed for this line of profession. All in all I give ‘‘‘‘‘. They are a private facility. Insurance isn't an option. I probably need to hit the lotto for my dad to reside there..thank you Sterling Commons for making my dad's vacay time so pleasant and happy’™

When the sad realization hit that Gram needed full-time care, I did the only thing I knew to do...Google Search. The options were overwhelming...I made call after call to facilities that spanned from Redlands to Victorville and every place in between. It was mind-numbing and overwhelming and frankly, some of the reviews were downright scary. Then, I landed on Sterling Commons. (First off, it was refreshing that somebody was staffed to answer the phone after the amount of messages I had to leave at some of the other places.) Right out of the gate, everybody was AMAZING, KNOWLEDGEABLE and HELPFUL! I had NO idea what needed to be done and I was guided the whole way. They even helped me get through the paperwork to get Gram VA survivors benefits to help pay for her care. Debra and her staff are absolutely dedicated to making sure that the residents are well taken care of. We have popped-in many times to visit and Gram is always clean, up and alert, either watching a cool old movie in the movie room or sitting with other residents socializing. There are caretakers everywhere. Nobody is isolated here and there is a lot of stimulation / activities. The extra care in securing the residents is bar none! NOBODY is getting in or out of the residents area without a staff member physically letting them in or out. This was especially important to us. The interior as well as the exterior are CLEAN, nicely decorated and has nostalgic touches; Gram couldn't help but to feel at home. I was so impressed with the different levels of care. Gram has Dementia / Alzheimers and she needs assistance with every aspect of daily life and she is getting that. She is so HAPPY and she's smiling again. It makes me cry (happy tears) that we don't have to worry about her well-being anymore. We can just sit and visit with her and know that when we have to leave, she will still be happy and safe.

I have been helping care for a friend here for the past 2 years..It has been my experience that the ladies here qualify for sainthood..they care and do more for their patients than you would expect anyone to do. Having seen other facilities, their folks can't hold a candle to the ladies at Sterling.

My father, who has dementia, has been living at Sterling Commons for about 2 years now. It's the perfect place for him. He feels secure and content there. The environment is warm and welcoming. It's a homey atmosphere. It's clean and comfortable. The food is great, and Dad gets to interact with the other residents during meal time. They even provide snacks a couple of times a day. The best part of Sterling Commons is the people who work there and help Dad. They're exceptional people who really care for the residents. Dad has all his needs met, from help with personal hygiene to prescription management, and he even gets his annual flu shots right on the premises. He enjoys the frequent entertainment and the twice weekly bus rides around the community. My family feels so grateful that he's in a place where he is so well taken care of.
February 2017
When our loved ones can no longer care for themselves, and it is too great a task to handle unassisted, nothing is more important than finding a place that will care for them with the utmost professionalism and warmth. I was so comforted the moment I walked into the Sterling Commons. The premises are clean and the conditions are safe. The Director Debra, is wonderful. She helped make the transition of moving my mother from another facility, to the Sterling Commons, so seamless and with ease. The staff is exceptional! I have found the caregivers to be not only knowledgeable, but attentive, consistent and compassionate. It is so comforting knowing my mother is safe and in competent, quality care. Phyllis Jerscheid

My mother in law has lived here for over two years. They allowed her to come in at a lower rate of apx $2000 a month. Then when we got a notice that they were raising her rent by $60 I politely inquired as to whether that was correct as I was told by social security it wasn't given she gets SSA/SSI and a facility isn't allowed to take every penny (her diapers alone cost about $80 a month). At that point they sent us a nasty letter that if we didn't like it we could leave, and a month later they moved her to a lower functioning unit without alerting us to this first. They moved her in the middle of the night. The nurse called to say my mother in law was upset and the staff didn't understand why the director of the facility had moved her as there was no justification on a medical level. This was against her wishes and ours since They had no reason for doing this except they now wanted to give her room to someone who could pay more. The director confirmed this and said it's within their right, and that they can get people who will pay more for her shared room (they moved her roommate to the lower functioning ward too for this reason). To move someone to a lower unit means when it's not necessary means less mental stimulation and less community contact. Also the move is very hard on someone with dementia. We spoke to several staff who stated they also objected and hadn't been consulted and didn't think it was a good idea. We contacted the Ombudsman to ask them for help who said they would go in and discuss with them and now just a month later we get a notice they are raising her rent by $1000 more dollars so now it will be over $3100 a month which they know she can't afford. She doesn't do well with moves. Mean while she has been a good patient, without behavioral problems and the staff love her and tell us she is one of their favorite patients. The nursing staff overall have been very good here and we have felt my mother in law was in good hands but we feel that the owners and executive staff are money hungry individuals who see this as the big business it is and are obviously no longer putting the best interests of the patients above all else. She has had a shared room this whole time but it's not enough to get $4500 to $5000 for a room per month (not sure what the room mate was paying). Now they want twice that much, PER ROOM.
