It's bad when the managers themselves need training. How can a group of people succeed as a team when the person in charge is lousy, inattentive, inconsistent, and lacks real leadership? That points back to whoever hired these managers ” an overhaul is necessary, along with extensive training. A team can't outperform bad leadership for long ” inconsistency at the top just filters straight down into everyone's day.

Review continued by the Mitzman's continues with a call out to Mecca our host for our visit. She was very pleasant, knowledgeable and truly concerned that our questions were answered, understanding that all of this potential change to our current life style is easily overwhelming.

We brought our mom to tour and the entire staff was so welcoming and answered every question. Knowing the delicate situation of our mom selling her home of over 40 years and downsizing to an apt, they were empathetic and willing to go above and beyond. Mecca is an absolute gem, she listened intently and ensured our mom was so comfortable. She is an asset to Watercrest. As we walked around she knew all the residents, and spoke softly to each and everyone of them. We did end up deciding to lease here and that was in part due to their full activity schedule, the apartments are gorgeous and thoughtfully laid out and the community offers an abundance of amenities.

I have been very disappointed with the quality of care and overall management at this facility. In my experience, there appears to be a lack of accountability and consistency among staff, which negatively affects resident care. During many visits to see my mother, I have observed employees gathered together socializing while residents seemed to need more attention. While the facility presents itself well and the front desk staff are generally friendly, the appearance does not reflect the level of care I have witnessed. The building may look appealing from the outside, but my family's experience has been frustrating and concerning. Much of the problem seems to stem from management, which appears ineffective in setting expectations and ensuring staff remain focused on resident needs. Based on my experience, significant improvements in leadership, staff supervision, and resident care are needed. I am actively looking to move my mother to another facility as soon as possible.

My wife and I toured Watercrest in May 2025 and loved it! Mecca Brevard did a great job of showing the property and answering all of our questions. Once we decided to proceed with renting an apartment, Mecca guided us through the process. We eventually moved into the apartment of our choice in September 2025 and have been very pleased with our decision. The setting is peaceful, we have made new friends, and the food and service is consistently excellent We would make the same choice all over again!

The most pleasant and exciting thing about visiting this property was meating Mirka again. She is the manager of this elegant property and was also the manager of another property we visited with her. She was most gracious and informative in taking us on a lovely tour around her property. She has the most effervescent personality we have ever encountered in a professional relationship. This gentlelady is very kind and actually concerned about her clients in showing her properties. We eventually settled on other property, mainly because of its location. We're moving to this area because we have a son and his family who live nearby. I most wholeheartedly recommend you visit and take a tour of The Watercrest with Mirka and see why she is such a fabulous person and someone that cares so much about her clients.

At Watercrest at Mansfield, we visited and had such a wonderful time with Mecca. We met the residents and toured the facility. It was very well kept and the atmosphere was really wonderful . My husband and I had been looking for an independent living facility to move our elderly parents closer to us. We visited Watercrest at Mansfield and were immediately impressed by the warmness and caring staff as we toured the facility. The staff seemed to know the name of every resident that we passed and took a moment to see how they were doing. We personally spoke with a number of the residents and they all told us how they loved living there and were grateful for the new friendships and community support they gained. The Executive Director, Brooke, has gone above and beyond to communicate with all of us in answering all of our questions or concerns. We are looking forward to getting our parents moved and settled at Watercrest, so they can relax and enjoy this stage of their lives. If you are looking for an independent living facility for you or your loved ones, I would highly recommend that you consider Watercrest.

Everyone at Watercrest was lovely. The residents and staff were all very friendly. Stephanie, the sales manager, worked hard to help us find an apartment that was a good fit. Her sales pitch didn’t make us feel pressured at all. On the contrary, we felt like she listened and gave us a lot of good advice. My mom is looking forward to moving in!

Wow! We were sooo well treated at a drop by visit!! We expected to pick up some literature and perhaps book a tour but Brooke was gracious enough to give us a wonderful look at this great place. The lake, the swimming pool, the many common areas for everything from fitness activities to poker playing to a great theater, to puzzle room fantastic. We have a lot of family in Mansfield and will very likely make the Watercrest our new home within the foreseeable future!

We visited Watercrest at Mansfield today and were impressed with the meal and all the apartments we toured. The highlights of the tour were the staff, from the dining room to Activities director, everyone was excited to serve the residents. We will definitely return and seriously consider this facility when the time comes for us to downsize and simplify our lives and take advantage of the active caring environment at the Watercrest at Mansfield.

Mansfield has the best independent senior living and that is Watercrest at Mansfield. My only regret is that Mom did not move there soon enough but the last 4 years have been wonderful. We love the safety and the friendly atmosphere within Watercrest. We love the awesome sunsets from her 4th floor balcony. We love the secure facility. We love the awesome staff who are always professional and caring. We love the covered heated swimming pool available to residents and a guest. The many amenities available are outstanding. Even with this difficult year that 2020 has brought us, the staff at Watercrest continue to figure out ways to have the activities while maintaining the health safety of all involved. If you are looking for a independent senior living center, I would not pass up on the opportunity to live at Watercrest. You will not be disappointed.

The Watercrest of Mansfield active adult living is amazing. The amenities available to the residents makes you feel like your at a vacation resort. The wonderful beauty salon and hairstylist Lisa are incredible. The wellness center/activity room offer a wide variety of fun exercise classes and the beautiful outdoor heated pool with large patio cover allow residents to use the pool year around for swimming and water exercise classes. The staff at the Watercrest of Mansfield are so friendly and helpful and truly care about the senior residents. Brook makes the living experience oustanding and takes a sincere interest in the happiness of the senior residents. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

We have lived at Watercrest at Mansfield for a year now and we could not be happier. Even with the Covid-19 situation! The helpful and friendly staff, from janitorial/kitchen to executive, have been on top of every situation. Always thinking of the impact on residents they continue to perform their jobs with a smile. Watercrest is an excellant facility to put the one you Love. The staff is attentive and have activities for everyone whether active or not. During the coronavirus they went above and beyond to keep everyone safe but still engaged. Porch karoke, door yoga and door to door happy hours, games in their mail boxes and simply checking on them daily. They communicated any concerns about my Mom in a discreet private way. When my Mom died of heart failure they let all the residents sign a homage with her picture for whoever wanted to. I would highly recommend Watercrest to everyone. My Mom and our entire family loved it and the staff. They truly care for the residents and it showed.

I have had family living here for over 5 years. We are so happy. The staff goes above and beyond to create an amazing atmosphere. Safety during The lockdown was #1 priority, but keeping all the residents happy and feeling special was also first class. I would recommend this community to everyone, and if you think Is an old folks home you are mistaken. This is a very active community for people over 55.

I am beginning my 9th year here at Watercrest Mansfield. We have lots of activities including games, happy hour, birthday parties, pool aerobics, yoga and exercise classes that we can participate in or we can choose to do anything. There is a very nice lake adjoining our property where there is a dog park and walkway if you choose to walk..If you like you can just sit on back porch and rock and enjoy watching and listening to the birds sing.. I love my apartment and am so glad I chose this place...Beautiful here..

My 81 year old mother recently sold her home and moved here. She had been researching active seniors living choices for quite a while. Fortunately, she had also planned financially for this when the time came. Watercrest is a lovely place with every amenity you can think of. Equally important is the outstanding staff there - all of whom have a heart for seniors and understand what is important to seniors and their loved ones. There is also a sister facility next door, Isle at Watercrest, which has both assisted living and memory care accommodations available and they make the transfer from active seniors independent living to the assisted living facility relatively easy by waiving the community fee so you're not paying that expense twice. The staff are wonderful, especially Tara, who went above and beyond by resolving an issue with my mother's mail when she had to move to the assisted living facility due to a terminal illness requiring the care provided at the assisted living facility. I honestly can't say enough good things about this exceptional place.
