I have decided to comment on here because I feel that for the cost of this place, they could at least do away with the cafeteria line and have menus and wait staff to take your order especially for the cost of this place. Other than that, everything else is pretty good .

Aspen Trail is a premier senior community here in Colorado Springs! My mother-in-law had lived in another senior community in the southwest part of the city for nearly 12 years before moving to Aspen Trail last December. Change is hard at any age, but everyone at Aspen Trail made Mom feel welcome and made the transition for her and for us as easy as possible. Connie, Kaitlyn, and Sterling lead a wonderful team of caring, thoughtful, friendly people who go out of their way to make life for everyone in the community a great experience. The residents at Aspen Trail are wonderful, welcoming people and they are an important part of the excellent experience Mom had there. The food is delicious and family is always welcome to join for meals and the many activities. In addition, the facility is lovely and beautifully maintained. Due to her advanced age and a more rapid decline in health than anticipated Mom was only at Aspen Trail for 6 months before she had to transition to assisted living, but during her time there Kaitlyn, Sterling, Connie and their team did everything they could to ensure Mom's happiness, health, and safety, going above and beyond when needed. This is an outstanding community and I strongly encourage others to make it their first choice.

When my mom decided to move to Colorado Springs about a year ago, my wife and I looked at many retirement communities. We looked for a warm atmosphere, modern and nicely kept facilities, and a great staff. Aspen Trail had all of that and more. From day one, the residents were very friendly and welcoming. There always seemed to be scheduled and impromptu activities happening. Although Aspen Trail is an Independant Living facility, my mom needed a little help with some things and the staff is always ready to lend a hand. The staff functions as a true team, always pitching in wherever needed. My mom had to leave Aspen Trail due to worsening health issues. The Aspen Trail team was so helpful and gracious through the entire process. If your loved one is looking for an outstanding independent living community, Aspen Trail should be high on your list to visit.

I have lived here over a year and it has changed so much 90 percent of the dining room staff that was first here when I affixed has left because they were either fired, got upset about how management took them for granted, disrespected them or overworked them to exhaustion. When I first arrived the whole community was given a luxury dining experience which was one of the t Reasons why I chose this place. Now they only do a once a month birthday and anniversary dinner. We were told we would have fine dining. The management mistreats and overwork the staff and then gets upset when they have to pay overtime. The meal plans are basically the same cheap meals each week. The quality of food is mediocre at best. The managers should walk around during meals and engage with the residents whom pay them. The amount of money we pay for rent in all respects inst worth it. I think in the welcome packet a breakdown and list of where all of our rent income is going eg, food, cable, heat, etc.We only had one manager whom was only here a short time because they were finding 'permanent managers. His name is Lanny and he runs the RLC community in Tupelo or at least did and he would make sure to walk around daily during meal times and authentically had an open door policy. Another community has a different kind of dining which I really liked. You could down and eat during certain hours and were served and waited on at a table that's what I expected here. The only bad part is they used the 'point system' which was terrible. I was told they had a chef that used to work at amThe Broadmoor hotel. We've had too many chefs and cooks over the year I've lived here. They have comment cards available for the dining room and the community, but many if the things aren't addressed or we hear, we are working on it. I absolutely adore my fellow residents . Pedro visits and doesn't seem very interested and not very approachable. I believe the ComoNy should take care of the communities they have first before building new ones.we were told this is like living on a cruise ship and I've been in avmbiut 39 cruises and it's nothing like any cruise I've been on. It feels like all this company cares about is filling apartments and money other than the residents whom are shown an amazing experience during 'marketing events to lure new residents in, once we move in we see the truth and are felt lied to and deceived . They had the Berber to serve a plated dinner for only a few off the residents and it was insulting and just plain a slap in the face. We all pay a fortune to live here and deserve fancy dining as I was told which was one of the main reasons I chose this community. I'm hoping the treatment of the staff improves so then the constant turnover rate stops . I hope you choose to post this publicly so people know the truth. .

If you like to laugh, and feel a sense of community, this is the place to be! The residents are so kind and welcoming toward fellow residents and staff. The people at Aspen Trail are upbeat and positive which makes for a great overall atmosphere. New Managers took over last summer and the improvements they have been implementing are fantastic. The staff isn’t just here to do a job, they are truly here to serve and make a positive impact with every resident interaction. This is apparent as soon as you walk in the beautiful lobby and are greeted with several welcoming smiles. There is always good food to eat and the kitchen is always striving to make the good food, even better! This beautiful new facility is in a great location, right across the street from St Francis hospital and various shopping. Aspen Trail even has a bus that runs 5 days a week for things like group outings, shopping, or medical appointments. I encourage anyone looking for a place, to join our family!

My dad moved into Aspen Trail in Feb '21 and lived there for a year. The only reason for the move is we transitioned him to assisted living. The facility is absolutely beautiful, the residents are kind and helpful and the staff is great. The food is very good with all kinds of extra offerings such as coffee bar, salad bar, soup, etc.. There really is something for everyone. Although my dad didn't take part in a lot of activities due to his worsening dementia there is plenty to do. They have a resident workout in the gym everyday, happy hours, bus trips, bingo, movies etc... The staff really gets to know the residents and enjoy interacting with them on a daily basis. We felt very welcomed there and were sad to leave.

You have to visit to appreciate this facility--wide hallways, bright rooms, amenities (eg, salon and more). Walking through, it seemed like an upscale resort with an indoor mall. The most outstanding feature for me was the dining/food operation---incredible menus, restaurant like atmosphere, available at all hours. This was the first retirement facility where I immediately felt comfortable.

I was very struck with the professionalism and how courteous the staff is at ATRR. In looking at some of the reviews on here, I wonder if some of these folks were just having a bad day. My experience was top notch. I wouldn't hesitate to have my father placed here. There are countless amenities for the residents and I have yet to see anyone without a smile on their face (residents and staff). Absolutely a fantastic environment and I would recommend ATRR time and time again.

My mom moved into Aspen Trail Retirement Resort in December 2021 and couldn’t be happier! She lives in a spacious one bedroom apartment with housekeeping and maintenance included which leaves her days open for fun activities like Zumba, Bridge and movie nights. I know she is well cared for by the amazing staff that takes her on weekly shopping outings and to doctors appointments as needed. She enjoys three delicious meals a day with friends and is eating healthier then ever before. I can’t thank everyone at Aspen Trail Retirement Resort enough for all they do for us!

Very happy with the care and what this provides for my mother of 86. She struggles some with memory and they are very accommodating. Great food, great facilities, guests seem to love it. Activities, exercise programs. Special event days. I recommend. Other reviews are concerning but I would visit and talk with leadership to see first hand.

My parents moved in upon opening and I have to say it is fabulous! They are so well taken care of. The entire staff is wonderful and they offer so many amenities from concierge service, valet parking, theme parties, prime rib buffet brunch every Saturday, and so on. I am so happy we found a wonderful place for them to live!
