I lived at River Valley for 4 months. I left Nov. 24, even though I had paid thru the end Nov. I give R V 2 stars because it is attractive facility, well maintained, but it is in a busy neighborhood with not much land. Nearly all apts face on a parking lot Transportation is very limited. I had to take an Uber to a doctor in Stanford, which is slightly more than the 12 mi radius, it is only available on Thursdays. Many of the staff are surly and unhelpful. I asked the girl at the front desk how to use the 2 remotes necessary to turn on the tv for which I pay a monthly fee. She told me to call Comcast, even though they would charge for a service call. When I first inquired I was told there 45 day rent concession, when I applied that was reduced to 30 days and it was further r3educed when I moved in. I think R V makes their money by deducting excessive charges from security deposits. $3.000 was deducted from my $3,500. security deposit. First I was told it was because the carpet had to be replaced because there was a small spot in one room, then I was told it was because I had a dog. I have a well behaved miniature golden-doodle. The manager agreed that she could not detect any odor, but she said a new tenant might. I submitted this review to the management for comment, but they did not disagree with any of my facts.

Love it here. Apartments are spacious and well appointed. Staff is outstanding. Originally came for the rental with no buy in, something that is very important to me. Three meals a day with no extra charge for apartment delivery. Lots of fun activities. I have been here for over 3 years and I am so glad I choose River Valley

Toured this newly built senior community. Residents very friendly and welcoming. Staff super helpful and supportive. Roomy apartments with fully equipped kitchens, cable TV, and terraces or balconies. Amenities include gourmet meals (delivered to your room upon request!), valet parking, gym, housekeeping, .free local transportation, and much more -- from bible study to happy hours. As we passed the indoor waterfall and koi pond, I asked Susan, the Valley's charming and knowledgeable guide, a question about military veteran residents. She smiled and took me to River Valley's spacious indoor theater and told me that this is where the local VFW meets. Can't wait to show my dear wife this lovely place.

I decided to sell my home of sixty years. Was looking for a place to live where I didn't worry about the house, no more repairs or trying to find help for doing chores around the house. I found all this at RIVER VALLEY. The apartment is large and beautiful. The staff is friendly and courteous. Food is great. The activity department has something for everyone. I have been here a year and I love it!

We have family that has been living here for a couple of months now: The staff are extremely friendly, helpful, and always positive. The food is great and the common areas are well-maintained. All of the residents that I have ever spoken to in-depth all say the same thing: It's a nice place to live!

A great lifestyle! After many years of home ownership my Wife and I were looking for the 'easy life' yet independent living and an active social life. We found our perfect place here at River Valley. The facilities are modern, clean and comfortable……the location is perfect for us. However the most important thing was the welcoming and warm attitude of both the Residents and Staff. River Valley supports a strong sense of Community which is so essential for a successful retirement lifestyle.

This wonderful, comfortable and welcoming community is chock full of amenities where residents create new friendships, engage in numerous activities, and are delighted to be there. The entire staff - from on-site managers Hillary and Bob to the dining staff and beyond - all care about the comfort and enjoyment of residents. It is one of the friendliest communities I have ever visited.

Hilary and Bob run this fabulous community and truly care about everyone here and have been so instrumental in caring for my father and mother in law when they moved in a short time ago... recently my father in law passed away and they have treated our whole family w love and care - I feel so much at peace knowing my mother in law is here in a wonderful welcoming home. Amazing amenities, great location, convenient to local needs, comfortable environment and wonderful people here who smile and care

Myself (Branch Manager) and Assisted Living Home Care Services has recently formed a wonderful relationship with River Valley and it's management team - Carol, Kevin, Rita & Audra. We started hosting a Happy Hour once a month and have been so impressed with this community. The design and layout is so warm and welcoming. The cleanliness it outstanding, the food is wonderful, and the activities are endless. We've met several residents already and all have been very friendly and gracious. This community is a great place for your loved ones to feel "at home", engaged and safe. I would highly recommend a tour and to consider this "the place to be" during the aging years.
