We made an appointment with Irene to tour the facility with my mom. Irene was very warm and took the time to answer questions. We looked at a studio and a 1 bedroom. The rooms looked spacious and clean. The entire facility looked well maintained and organized. We were also invited to have lunch. The biggest surprise was the quality of the food. We had freshly baked buns, Greek salad, baked chicken thighs and steamed veggies. It was so tasty and exceed my expectations. Thanks for the great tour!

I have lived in an old folks home for two years so I at least know what I like and what I don't like. If I was looking for a retirement home to move into I would highly recommend Churchill Manor. I belong to an antique car club show my car, we do about 30 car shows a year mostly at old folks homes in Edmonton so I get to see and talk to residents and management from lots of places. I have spoken to many residents at Churchill Manor and for the most part residents are happy there. One of the plusses is good food. I have eaten there and find the food really tasty, with choices, and different sizes for how hungry you are. That is worth a lot when living in a retirement home. Next thing is that talking to staff and residents they are very friendly and really promote interaction between residents and events. One person I would like to compliment is Irene Mayer. She is one of the first people you'll meet there. She is very knowledgable and not only answer all your questions honestly but volunteer proceedures you don't think of to ask. Eugene

We met Irene last Wednesday, 11:30, to have a quick tour and a lunch at Churchill Manor. The Manor has a central core with residences radiating out from there, with the dining room as the centre of the main floor. Art rooms, exercising rooms, TV rooms etc all snug around that core on the three floors. Rooms have a small counter, sink and a fridge for a kitchen but all the food is provided, and the food is very good. The menu is varied, the alternative dishes are also good. And the servers are cheerful, courteous and thoughtful. We were very impressed. Oh, and Irene laughed at all Dave’s old jokes. Lovely lady. Gail and Dave

We made an appointment with Irene to have my father come for lunch and tour the facilities. Irene was very accommodating and took the time to answer questions from ourselves and our father. We had lunch and then toured several rooms on the main floor. The staff were very warm and kind, the facility looked clean and open. My father is very apprehensive as this is a major transition in his life and Irene was very patient and understanding of his situation. Thanks for a great tour.

We took a tour recently with a good friend of ours , with the possibility of him moving in ! We had a great experience with the sales manager Irene , who was not only communicative , also friendly and very informative . She was extremely helpful in order for our friend to make a decision ! I have visited Churchill Manor for my mother's future stay. So far the place is very nice and clean and staff (Irene & Tabitha) are very accommodative for all your needs and able to answer all your queries. Just a suggestion to stand out to have a Nurse/ LPN in house for all the immediate medical needs of the seniors living there. The referral program in place is the best incentive people can avail.

The staff are energetic, knowledgeable, courtesy and enjoy their jobs. Churchill Manor is close to the Grey Nuns Hospital, the Mall and Seniors Centre in south Edmonton. The suites are kept desirable for new seniors to move in without any worries. No cooking or cleaning is very accommodating for myself because I am tired of cooking for one. Laundry room, exercise room, game room as well as a library will keep me entertained when I am ready to move in. Thank you Irene for the enthusiastic tour.

My father just moved in to Churchill about a month ago. The staff are all absolutely amazing from management to the servers and the driver, everyone really goes out of their way to make my father and I welcome. So patient and kind. It’s such a beautiful building and the suites are a nice size as well. So happy to have found them.

I am not ready to move from my home yet, but this is where I would want to live when that time comes. The staff are so friendly, kind and know people by name. The lunch was quite delicious and had perfect proportions. You are waited on as if in a restaurant. The rooms where you would live are nice and the other amenities (games room, puzzle room, library etc.) make this very much a home. This is the first retirement home I have visited and I believe others will have a hard time topping this one. I am very excited to have my sister visit Churchhill Manor. Irene is also a gem, thank you!

The faculty is exceptional clean, open, and welcoming. The large windows provide a bright and open environment. What makes Churchill Manor exceptional is the staff. Irene welcomed us warmly and as we toured the facility she knew residents by name and ensured to say hi to all. You could see the residents knew her as well. The lunch was delicious; the menu is varied throughout the month and there is always a second option for the residents. The staff serving the meals are very friendly and welcoming. Irene also gave full details on costs and what is included in the costs. Given all that is included on the cost, the facility and the wonderful staff Churchill Manor is a place that I would recommend.

A problem with Housekeeping where Monday is the daythere’s no replacement for housekeeping staff who are on Stat Holiday. I’m out of order bccs I’m a Monday recipientI don’t know if my housekeeping will or will not be done todayMonday! It was not done last Friday as often happens.

My mother & I were greeted warmly by the staff. We were early for our appointment and Irene did not make us wait. She was welcoming, patient with our questions, and friendly and professional throughout the tour. I would love to live at Churchill Manor Retirement Community. The layout of the place also made it easy to know where to go for things - dining area, games room, visiting lounge, library, and more. And there’s air conditioning that you can set in your room, just like a hotel!

I’m 66, and I find myself constantly thinking about moving back to an apartment. I feel too young to be living here. 2 1/2 years later 9 people have died. It’s hard to be around someone that is so close to death being this age. So make absolutely sure you’re ready to move.

From the time I first contacted Churchill Manor about my dad to the day he moved in Irene made a difficult transition a pleasant experience. My dad very much enjoys the staff at the site. He's normally a pretty cranky old man but has commented on how much fun the staff is. Moving him to Churchill Manor was one of the best decisions I have made for him.

From the moment my husband and I walked through the front door, we were greeted with friendliness. It made us feel like home. It is bright and cheery! People are happy and welcoming. The suites are a great size. We were treated with respect. Never felt any pressure in making a decision; They listened. We were looking for the right fit for my sister. She is in her late 50’s but needed some support. We found Irene to be incredibly supportive and provided us with the information we needed to make the right decision! She was very patient with us and we never felt pressured and in the end we made the right choice! My sister is safe, social and living her life !
