I've been a resident at Carefree Natomas, an independent 55+senior living apartment complex since July 2020. Carefree has ~500 units in a variety of sizes and I have found the current staff from Community Manager to Porters to be friendly and responsive to questions and maintenance needs. Carefree has a large clubhouse and constant activities for any resident wanting to build community of friendships and not live in isolation. Several days a week a free continental breakfast is available, Wednesdays a lunch is served for a small cost of $4, Thursdays a free hot breakfast is served and on Fridays is Happy Hour with a DJ, dancing, karaoke, appetizers, open bar and lots of laughter for only $5. Card games, Bingo, impromptu domino games or just residents sitting at the tables visiting with each other are what you'll find going on in the Clubhouse. My favorite is the heated pool, that I use for water exercising. Carefree also has a bus that takes residents to the local stores, banks, library, etc., on a weekly basis. Several times a month the bus takes residents to events, locations of interest and restaurants. For the last 3 years, I have been one of the numerous resident volunteers who give of their time in support of Carefree and care for the residents.

Moved my mom here in several years ago. It was great. Activities, shuttle that went to stores and restaraunts. Daily continental breakfast. Covid happened and now things are still not back to normal. The beauty salon is not open the hours listed and there have been many issues, prior to Covid. None of my moms friends go to the salon. It seems the company doesn't care like it once did. We were told to move belongings off of the patio/front porch because they were painting. That was Nov, it's now July and it's still not complete. No refund of any money, considering for 2 years there were zero activities and very few food offerings. The ATM was stolen again for the 3rd time, and now I hear they have no nighttime security. I was a champion of this place once, now I'm just dissapointed. I hope they get back to the 5star place they used to be.

reported i had no,hot-water and was told being that issue was one of TOP PRRIORITY someone would be there ASAP, within an hour i heard some noise outside my unit, the maintenance was out there working on the issue, problem resolve within 20mins. CAREFREE CARES FOR THE SENIORS. THANK YOU TEAM YOU JUST CONFIM WHAT I WAS TOLD ABOUT CAREFREE BEFORE I DECIED TO MOVE HERE. RON MCKNIGHT

I like living at Carefree Sr. Apt. for the last 2 yrs. Ive met a lot of good people who live here too. My oldest son Jason found this place for me and he doesnt live to far away. Im always happy when he visits.

Living here at Carefree Senior Living is wonderful. Even though we are in the mist of a coronavirus pandemic. Our activity director Dorothy keeps the residents engaged. Dorothy,and the staff, call and check in with the residents to see how they are doing. We play bingo virtually on Facebook with Dorothy, and the residents join in and enjoy that. for the carefree staff

This place is very welcoming, engaging, and friendly. The activities are in abundance, Happy Hours are so fun even the staff stays for them. The apartments are surprisingly spacious. The grounds are resort like with palm trees, heated pool and jacuzzi, and there is even pet areas.

My wife and I love it here! The apartment is great, the people are friendly and there is always something going on! With the fun bus making daily trips to local stores and other places, you dont need a car. If youre looking for great senior living in Natomas, come on down!

I absolutely love this place. I spend every day in the clubhouse and have never been bit by anything. The staff is absolutely amazing. From the leasing agents, the manager and the wonderful staff, I ALWAYS have a great time talking to them. They are so welcoming and nice to everyone. I love looking out my windows and seeing the beautiful palm trees. They have a luncheon on Wednesdays, hot breakfast on Thursdays, and happy hour on Fridays! You dont even have to leave the property to party like its 1999!!! And get this, there is even a salon!!! All we need now is a Starbucks! I love Carefree! You all rock!!!!!

In a nutshell, fairly priced given the rents of surrounding apartments; third floor end unit has great views and is quiet; maintenance staff is responsive; management staff seems to play favorites; jacuzzi and pool BBQs constantly broken; plenty of gossip; and more than enough bitter, mean-spirited, mentally challenged residents looking to meddle in others affairs. Other than that, it is adequate shelter in a solid neighborhood.

My husband John joachim and I love this place. We thought we would stay for a year and then move into a house....we were so wrong, its been 4 years now and it does not look like we are moving anytime soon. have not met the new manager as yet, I am looking forward to meeting her....but we love Joy, she is the best....overall, everyone here are great ..love this place.
