I was there for 2 years and maintenance keep coming into my apartment and looking at my shower and bathroom. And 6 months after I moved in there were still people looking at the bathroom and shower. I had a total knee replacement and when I came back to my apartment I was told that I had to move out of my apartment because of black mold. I had just had surgery. I was not to lift more than 5 lbs. but I was being rushed into packing boxes and move to another apartment in the building. I liked my apartment very much but didn’t really like the apartment that I moved to. It faced only woods and teenagers would yell at people sleeping at 3 am. I requested that I could move back to my original apartment. It took over 6 months. Again I was told I was moving back to slowly. I am 74 years old. I had help with the 2 moves for large items like end tables and tv but no assistance with packing again. There are so many other things that have to be packed. It took another length of time and complaints about why can’t your family help with these moves when I was assured that I would be moved out and back. I didn’t cause any of the problems. My apartment didn’t have the worst black mold. My brother wrote a letter to the management of the united church homes asking for 2-3 months rent for the inconvenience of the moves. Then shortly after I moved back and someone moved in above me I had bad leaks that turned out to be because someone had disconnected the pipes in the sink above me. It took another 6+ months to fix. I sopped up the water with a few towels that were tuned because the person above used bleach to clean her sinks. It started to get close to my 2 year rental for my apartment but was told that the management above my manager was not going to renew my lease. That is when the manager had to make up a reason. And she did and when she took me to court she puttered herself. She had a lawyer and I had one from legal aid because I’m on social security and couldn’t afford a lawyer to come to court. She said my apartment was always dirty and that the hallway smelled like cat pee. When asked my neighbors denied that it smells like cat per. She would come off of the elevator and complain. I went threw 1/2 gallon of fabreeze a month. I also had my cat litter changed to cat litter with . I scooped daily or twice a day. What she smelled as she got out of the elevator was garbage as the place we placed our garbage was accross the hall from the elevator. There were 5 managers in the 2 years I was there and 3 maintenance people.

Moved in Nov.6th, & yes it's a beautiful place, however if you have a mobility scooter, Dr. ordered & not very tall, under 5'2, there are some limitations & no help as I was led to believe from property manager such as having the dryer vent cleaned out from lint as it's too far bk. for me to reach & is on top of the stackable washer/ Dryer! Also there are signs posted, " if you need help, just ask" however I feel that's a joke. I wouldn't need that vent cleaned every time I used the dryer & it only would take a couple of minutes, just disappointing & I moved from a place where I experienced abuse, so I'm still recovering from that!!!! I understand 100% this is IndependentLiving but I donneed a care giver, which is expensive as I can do everything myself except for the above mentioned. I truly hope there can be a resolution to this, feeling so sad abt. this!!! I don't understand why noone hasn't contacted me abt. this issue as other reviews at least are responded to, are only positive reviews reacted to????

I love my apartment!!! I just recently moved in on Friday night!! The residents are so friendly and the staff is wonderful!! This is truly a fabulous place to live at !!!

Was a resident here before and was very pleased moved to be closer to family but after 2 yrs I returned resident are pleasant here and very helpful with each other. Front office informs you about things that are going on doesn't leave you in the dark. Glad to have moved back.

My sisters and I were looking for a place for my mom to live after she was diagnosed with dementia. She was at that inbetween stage of not able to own a home anymore, but not ready for assisted living/memory care just yet. This was a perfect step down from home ownership. The staff is very friendly. My mom was a little nervous being on her own in a new place. She visited the staff, just to talk, and they were always welcoming. Eventually she made nice friends. They have allot of activities for the residents. The apartments are modern and big. It was a great experience. I would recommend.

I recently moved my grandmother into The Brunswick Community. I have so many great things to say about the apartment, the facilities and the wonderful people in the office. I love how secure the building is. I love that I know she is safe and is surrounded by wonderful people. I have peace of mind that If she needs something she has wonderful neighbors and that she has the office staff to lean on. Her apartment is the perfect size for her. I love the appliances.l love her balcony and the community room. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a clean, secure, wonderful community. We hit the jackpot for sure!

Moved here from another 55 and over community and boy what a difference. Dealt with Kacie who is so sweet. The community itself is indeed a community. The residence have been quick to introduce themselves to me and are extremely friendly. Maintenance is quick and efficient especially with all this recent snow. I feel safe and my puppy loves all the land she can explore on nice days. I definitely recommend this place to anyone searching for a new place to call home.

I just moved in to these apartments and I can’t say how great the management is here! The apartments are well taken care of, clean and nice and updated! Kaci and Angel are both very accommodating and helpful and the process of moving in was easy and stress free! Would definitely recommend living here!

This is a very nice place to live! Highly recommend. The assistant property manager, Kacie Webb, is extremely helpful and diligent in assisting in the showing and leasing process. I highly recommend both Kacie and the Brunswick Community.

Such a lovely place with kind residents and a very dedicated staff! I love that they schedule activities and shopping opportunities for the residents to enjoy without having to leave the building. You can tell their staff is dedicated to going the extra mile.
