We first met Sahar Hussain, Sales and Marketing Director at the Abbey, while looking for a place for my 85-year-old in-laws. She was very helpful in showing them around the place and explaining all of the benefits of living at The Abbey. She worked with us to find the perfect place within our budget and also provided us with helpful contacts to assist with the move. The staff and residents were so welcoming before and after they moved in. Danielle and the staff helped with our questions and were quick to respond to our requests. The dining area is the social center of the Abbey, where you meet and enjoy the company of new friends and neighbors while feasting on the great cuisine prepared by Chef Roger and his staff. The food is really fresh and delicious, with a good variety and portions. I look forward to eating there when I visit. Most importantly, our family is happy there. They were excited to move in and have been excited to meet everyone and become residents at this wonderful facility. It is a great comfort knowing they are in a place where they can enjoy their life to the fullest in a safe and comfortable environment.

I've toured this community and visited friends at The Abbey. This community is absolutely beautiful and well maintained but the absolute best part is the amazing staff! Every person I have ever encountered is nothing but friendly and helpful. The events are fun and everyone seems so happy!

My parents are moving into the Abby this month and Sahar went out of her way to make sure they got everything they needed to make the decision to move there. The food is great and so is staff. The residents are so welcoming when they see you and your family. My parents are very excited to move into their beautiful apartment.

This was one of my favorite pictures at the Abby. Seeing that the residents has choices with their meals This is top notch residency with numerous amenities like a spa or hotel except, you don't have to check out. The Staff is ASTOUNDING! We felt at peace as our love one was at home here.

Great place, Highly recommend for older adult looking for independent, assisted living or memory care facility . This place has passion for excellence. The sales director, Sahar has the zeal to provide the best care for patients and families which show in her engagements.

My father hasn't moved in yet, but I'm already shedding tears of gratitude with how much warmth, patience, and kindness we have experienced from every single staff member we've met. Sahar in particular is my personal hero right now: She spent so much one-on-one time with my father that he already feels at home, and is so excited to take this next step. I toured this facility with my dad a few days ago, but then had to travel back to my home in Massachusetts. Knowing my apprehension at coordinating this move from afar, she's kept me updated, and helped me with tips and recommendations. This is what a retirement community should be: Hopeful, joyful, and comfortable. This is not my first experience with retirement housing, but it's by far the best. I cannot recommend The Abbey enough.

My mother initially did not want to move from her Independent Living facility in Illinois to Assisted Living in Texas. But it was time. Staff at The Abbey worked with mom to make her feel comfortable and welcome. They helped her get involved in activities and adjust to her new environment. Some of the assistants even took extra care to make her feel special. The accommodations at The Abbey are of high quality, and the staff members are approachable at all levels. They promptly addressed any concerns, and we were satisfied with their solutions. The Abbey enabled my mother to maintain her independence while providing assistance when needed. This was a win-win for all. I'm glad I selected The Abbey as my mother's new residence in Texas.

My aunt and uncle have lived here for few years now and they love it. The amenities are always very clean. They personal is always very out going and nice. Specifically Yessenia the receptionist she is so patient, sweet and very informative. I'm sure my aunt and uncle drive her crazy lol but she does not show it. She is always ready to help and easily turns a frustrated situation in to a positive outcome with her good vibes !

There are many highly rated senior living communities in the Houston area, but I would like to share the wonderful experience we have had at The Abbey at Westminster Plaza and believe it is one of the greater communities in our area. My Dad moved into the Assisted Living community of The Abbey in Apr 2021 after living at the Indep Living community at The Abbey since Mar 2016. The dedicated and caring staff at the Assisted Living community took the time and made my Dad so comfortable in the transition to Assisted Living. I found comfort and peace of mind knowing my Dad was being well cared for and his needs were being met. The kindness and respect from the staff was shown by all, the caregivers, nursing, dining, recreational and housekeeping. My Dad and I have always been pleased with the accommodations, communication, nursing, security and the food, especially the food, at both communities are our reasons why The Abbey is one of the greater senior living communities in Houston.

If I could give The Abbey a 10 star I would!! My 99 year old Mother has lived at The Abbey for nearing 4 years. The love and respect she as well as our family has been shown is truly family like. We feel we have an extended family. The love and friendships are authentic. I could write a page about the positives of The Abbey. Every time we dine at The Abbey with Mom I feel as though I am on a cruise ship. There are always so many delicious and creative options. One can certainly follow a healthy diet there! Do not hesitate to seriously consider The Abbey. You wont be disappointed with the attentiveness and kindness.

My mom moved into The Abbey this past August. Its a wonderful facility and has beautiful rooms. My mom is in the assisted living side. I cannot say enough for the activity director, Jill, and her helpers. They provide so many different ways for the residents to take part in all kinds of activities. They do a wonderful job and that is my moms favorite place to go. She doesnt just stay in her apartment all day, but gets out to attend the classes and crafts and whatever outings they have. Definitely would recommend if you are looking for a place for your loved one.

I have had wonderful experiences with The Abbey. Personally, I have had 2 of my grandmothers dear friends and my Aunt stay here at the Abbey. The staff is caring and knowledgeable and Audra is very involved and proactive about the residents needs. Robin has helped me with any questions I have had and always has a welcoming and positive attitude. Jill does an excellent job with activities for all the residents and sets up fun outings for residents. Definitely a place to consider for your loved one and a great choice for memory care needs.

The Abbey at Westminster Plaza is a five star retirement community. The Management and staff, the food, amenities, and their attention to emergency situations are outstanding. I recently had a bilateral cranial stroke, and the knowledge and speed of The Abbey staff and the Houston Fire Department were incredible. They both saved my life! I highly recommend The Abbey at Westminster Plaza.

When I decided to move to a retirement community here in Houston I looked at several . At that time I thought the Abbey was the best and offered more for the money. After two and one half years there has been nothing to change my opinion . I still believe the Abbey offers the best retirement living in Houston. The staff ,facilities,and residents are outstanding. My husband and I moved in in January 2015. We both love it very much. He passed away a year later, but this is where he wanted me because everyone is so nice and we had met so many friends in just a year. The staff here is wonderful. The only thing I dont care for is not enough storage, drawers in the master bath.

After our home was flooded, our first choice was The Abbey at Westminster Plaza. My requirements were met..an entrance and an exit to my apartment, superb prepared meals and desserts. The fitness center is a plus for my Husband! In addition to the activities, the events that are offered are wonderful. We love it here!

Moving my Mom and Dad out of their house of 40 years in the Memorial area had all the makings of a nightmare. Much to my delight the Abbey made it a sweet dream. My parents love the Abbey. The staff, accommodations and food are all top notch. We looked at them all: Buckingham, Park Plaza and others. My parents made the right choice and have not regretted it one ounce. Side note: My dad actually passed away while living at the Abbey. The Abbey really showed its class with a very genuine compassion for my mother and I am so thankful to them. It has made my mothers transition a thousand times easier.

After reviewing 12 different Independent Living communities, I had the privilege of being one of the first people to move in to The Abbey at Westminster Plaza. After two and a half years, and being one of the first, I can truthfully say I enjoy everything about The Abbey. Mainly, about the people that have moved in, and become a part of our large family of friends. The outstanding restaurant has been an exciting feature for a Mother that has cooked for a large family, and that I now can relax and enjoy. Our outstanding staff has made growing old a real exciting adventure.

I moved to The Abbey at Westminster Plaza about a year ago. I love the food, and especially the exercise programs. I enjoy Chair Yoga, Water Aerobics, Tai Chi, and utilize the exercise machines. The Fitness Director is knowledgeable and customizes my fitness program. The well-organized activities, outings, and nightly movies are top notch. People are very friendly and I have made many friends. The staff is helpful and I love living here.

The Abbey has been every thing that I wanted in an Independent Living Community when the decision was made to downsize. There are a variety of apartments to satisfy the individual requirements. The Dining Room is comparable to one of Houstons better dining experiences with a wide variety of items on the menu. There are Activity and Fitness personnel for your mental and physical well being, as well as, various outside bus excursions. But to make it all work, it takes a Staff that cares and the Abbey has that here plus residents that are equally as friendly.

My mother has lived at the Abbey for several years. Their staff and management are second to none. The facility is very highly maintained as well as the food chef prepares meals like a 4 star restaurant. I highly recommend this facility. The head nurse in charge is awesome. Very compassionate and concerned for her clients.
