Saturday morning at Capital Oaks is special. That's when Joyce mixes her culinary skills and love to produce sausage gravy and biscuits that take me back to 17 years in the Kentucky hills. Until a few years ago I believed my Mama was the only cook who could steal my heart. But then came Capital Oaks and Joyce and I'm home again.

During a tour recently we found a high level of energy among the residents there. The staff smiling and helpful, but for our relatives the most important thing is the neighbors. The residents were busy, told us they were happy and many have been there over 4 years. THAT is the true testament. Appreciate all that we’re part of our experience evaluating the community.

I was visiting my brother and sister in law who live at Capitol Oaks and the facility is FABULOUS!!! The environment is wonderful for the residents, beautiful and so well appointed for the convenience and comfort of the residents !!! The staff is so pleasant, kind, helpful and caring!! I was welcomed so pleasantly by the staff as well as other residents!! The food was delicious, dining room lovely and the selection was wonderful! I stayed in the guest suite which was so comfortable, quiet and just perfect!!! Appreciate my time visiting with my family at Capitol Oaks!!!! Jan Dill

I have lived here for almost 6 years and have been very happy. The staff are friendly and most helpful; the residents are interesting people, There is a good variety of activities and the food is really good. In fact it is great. Our chefs often give us new taste sensations. And we can have our dogs. The soundproofing is excellent. I feel very safe here, and well cared for.

Excellent tour. Staff and residents very friendly and open to answering all questions. Array of services exactly what I need. Love that levels of care can wrap around you in your own apartment as needed. Meal plan very good, lots of options at all meals and no comlicated point system. Valet parking! Beautiful.Sherita was delightful and made the visit an event!

Sherita, Debbie, Rachel, Joyce and all the staff were wonderful during my stay at Capital Oaks. All the people that live there were wonderful. They made sure I had a companion at each meal, and all the food was delicious. If anyone is considering a retirement community, they should consider Capital Oaks. I have visited all in the Raleigh area, and Capital Oaks is the best in my opinion. -Bill Ayers

A recent tour at Capital Oaks Retirement was very informative, with the live-in management showing great concern and attention to the residents. The accommodations were impressive and resident engagement was obvious.

I toured Capital Oaks today because I'm looking for a quality continuing care residence for my 91-year-old father. Sherita was an excellent tour guide and explained all that Capital Oaks has to offer very clearly. I was impressed with everything about this place and look forward to bringing my father here for his tour and a meal.

My parents have been living at Capital Oaks for a year and a half. Initially, it was managed by a truly professional individual who cared about the employees and people that live there. Recently, that manager moved on, being replaced by a new individual. His replacement seems to be there solely to get employees to quit and leave. Replacements are poorly trained. The quality of the food has gone down considerably. It's difficult to move my parents, which I'm sure is the case for everyone else that is considering moving loved ones from this facility. For anyone considering Capital Oaks, make sure you check out other similar facilities and keep this review in mind.

This is a beautiful place with a delightful, hospitable, welcoming and caring staff. The amenities, activities, food and services provide a value in excess of the price. The food is delicious and there are dining options to suit multiple lifestyles from formal to casual. Great thought has gone into the layout, floor plans, conversation rooms, library, activities rooms and their beautiful theater. The residents are a friendly community. Highly recommend.
