I have been a resident here for over five years and have enjoyed the rich amenities, as well as the community atmosphere that the managers work so hard at creating and maintaining, by hiring able staff and providing valuable training and support to the staff, in an effort to provide an enjoyable, active lifestyle as each individual resident may want. I can't imagine another place that would would provide so much value for the all encompassing rental cost. Moreover, because I enjoy automobile traveling throughout the country, I have the privilege of stays at other available RLC units' guest rooms at reduced cost, including meals and amenities.

Making the decision to leave my home of 30 years to live in a retirement community was an ambivalent one. Would I like it? Would I lose my privacy? Would my new neighbors be accepting and friendly? I have been a resident of South Hills Square for 4 1/2 years. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, beginning with the management team, throughout all of the staff members. The lead concierge, as well as, both additional concierges are gracious and promptly attentive to all resident requests. Friendliness permeates the entire community. It's so nice to walk down the hall and be greeted by a smiling "good morning" from a fellow resident! There are many varied activities available on a daily basis, in which residents may choose to participate or not. My apartment is bright, cheerful and beautifully maintained by weekly housekeeping and prompt maintenance when needed-----------no need to call and wait patiently for a plumber to come to the house! I very much enjoy living at South Hills Square----it is truly my home!

My 87 soon to be 88 year old Dad has lived at South Hills Square for the last almost two years. I feel so glad Dad does not have to worry about maintaining a home, going up and down stairs, not having to worry about making meals or cleaning his living space. Staff are wonderful and go above and beyond to make their residents comfortable and safe. Campus is clean, beautiful location, very well maintained. Very happy he is here.

As a senior resident, I can truly say that South Hills Square Retirement has everything I was hoping for and more. The apartments are comfortable and well-maintained, the staff is kind, attentive, and always willing to help, and there’s a real sense of community here that makes it feel like home. I especially appreciate the variety of activities and the friendships I’ve made along the way. It gives me peace of mind knowing I’m in a safe, welcoming place where I’m respected and cared for every day. I couldn’t be happier with my decision to live here.

South Hills Square is a beautiful facility that offers wonderful amenities. They have everything from a small store to a theater. There is plenty to see and enjoy The staff and residents are so friendly and always willing to help. I recommend checking this facility out if you are looking for a home to retire too.

I love this place. As a nurse. I know the heslth hazards of the elderly neing isolated. This facility provied a place that provides an atmosphere that allows people to thrive. My mom lives there and its the best thing she did selling her home and moving there. She has met so many friends and loves their social activities. The staff is amazing. My mom can maintain her independence there. The best thing we dont have to worry about her. We know she is safe. Now has a large extended family between the staff and other residents that we know she is loved.

The staff is excellent. I am very disappointed as is advertised as independent living and this is false as more than 50% of residents should be in assisted living or memory care. It is depressing and difficult to manage daily.

I have lived here for 6 months with my 97 year old mother. I have no complaints. There are plenty of activities designed for seniors, staff are wonderful, residents are very welcoming. Food is always delicious with lots of choices. Responding to a different review that said the plates were too small(luncheon sized)if you know anything about seniors, they get overwhelmed with large plates of food so these are the right size. You are not limited in how much you eat or how many desserts you take. It’s like living in a beautiful hotel with lots of amenities which you can see on the website.

South Hills Square is amazing! It’s a beautiful, clean, bright senior living community. When you walk in the front doors, it immediately FEELS good! It always smells fresh and nice. If you come at the right time, you might also be greeted with the smells of good food coming from their kitchen. South Hills Square is warm, welcoming, and comfortable, just like a home should be. The staff that works here is really kind and always willing and eager to help. Even greater, it’s staffed 24/7 with new live-in managers that are pretty terrific, too! And the food? It’s really, really good “ better than what you might expect! It’s got everything I want for my dad, and then some! Five stars!

Staff and facility are nice. Food is mediocre and going up in price. Management will ruin this place. Completely in experienced with seniors. Resume says they ran a Dennys restaurant. Un cooperative when moved in under prior managers the place was full now the are comparatively speaking. Management definitely plays favorites with residents.

Have been visiting South Hills Square for about 18 months.. Staff is excellent , place is really nice. Dining is poor when I visit, portions served are tiny , very bland tasting, nothing like resort dining. Excellent place if not into food. Know some residents that enjoy cooking so they have nice kitchens in every apartment.

Beautiful facility and outstanding staff! We visited a relative here and could not believe what a great facility it was. My relative loves it, and could not stop raving about. We had dinner with him and then breakfast the next morning. Staff were great! The place was spotless clean, food was very good, compliments to the chef! I'm glad my relative likes it here and we can't wait to visit again!
