I am so happy to be back among friends and friendly helpful staffs, the activities are fun and varied the food has been very good, my apartment was spick and span when we moved in, it is wonderful to walk around the property with my dog, we have been very well received , I think we will be content living here.

The Staff and the community was very supportive especially when my husband Don pass away, The GM called and said how are you doing and that brought me here AT The Court At Brooklin. I was welcome by everybody I feel at home here, now I am a permanent living here this is like home to me. My husband and I stayed here for winter break for many year. It feels like home to me, staff here is very friendly.

My experience at Court At Brooklin has been excellent the staff are amazingly friendly and helpful.My appartment is bigger and better than expected.I moved hear because my father and uncle both stayed here and enjoyed many years.The facility is always kept spotless and I don't have to cut the grass.

I've been shopping for a retirement home for my husband and myself for over a year, It's a huge and an important task. In August I stayed for a month at The Court in Brooklin on a trial basis. I thoroughly enjoyed it. My husband, who has mild dementia, refuses to consider a move from our home of 45 years. We are both over 80 and need to make the move to a more relaxed environment. I have checked out about 8 facilities. They were all beautiful. The Court in Brooklin has something special. It is warm and welcoming from the moment you walk in the door. It felt like family. The staff are sincerely kind and friendly and the residents want to make you feel comfortable. I can't say enough about the management team: Collin, Nidhi, Yvette, Sylvia , Denise and others. They are the best. I made a few good friends in the short time I was there. Betty Davis said, " Aging is not for sissies" . It's so therapeutic to not have to do it alone. Food and friends seem to be the most important factors in choosing a retirement home. Price is pretty important too. The Court has it all. I have eaten at 4 facilities and can say without hesitation The Court at Brooklin serves the best meals. They are fresh, tasty and hot and they do it with skill and kindness. The price is competitive. I'm crossing my fingers that my husband and I will be moving in very soon.

We work with the Court of Brooklin to perform an on site hearing clinic. Since working with them, they've been nothing short of phenomenal. The staff are extremley friendly, they care a lot about their residents and they are a joy to work alongside. They are accommodating and have a built a supportive community for its members! I highly recommend coming in for a tour!

My mom has been living at the court for 3 years now and she is very happy there. She enjoys the food, entertainment, art classes, meditation, Physio classes, drives in the country and/or outings. There are some very kind and compassionate workers that really brighten the place and make mom feel special. One thing I have joined with mom is the heartfulness meditation. We both have truly benefitted greatly from our practise. It gives us both a sense of peace and calm. I now do meditation at home in my daily routine. Many thanks to Nidhi for offering this and inviting me to come months ago.

Totally impressed with this retirement home! My sisters and I did a tour here with my dad who wanted to see in advance, what retirement living would look like for him when he's ready to make a change in his current living arrangements. From start to finish we were impressed! The staff was beyond welcoming from the moment we went in and all the current residents looked happy and healthy and also willing to vouch for the wonderful atmosphere and living arrangements offered at this establishment. We met with Nidhi first who took us on a wonderful tour and answered all our questions and showed us several different apartment layouts. Then we had the pleasure to sit with Colin, the General Manager who we were totally impressed with! You could tell how caring and understanding he was with the amount of time he took to answer more of our questions. This home is the kind of place you can only dream of when the time comes for a parent transitioning into a retirement home. Currently my dad isn't quite ready for it, but when he is all others we visit will be measured against this one's standards! Plus he's already said when he's ready, he hopes this will be his new address. If you are at all skeptical when searching for a retirement home, I encourage you to book a tour here with Colin and his staff…you won't be sorry you did! The happy residents tell the story. This place is all class! Since I moved here in the Court at Brooklin. Everyone is friendly . Food is fairly good. The approach was pleasing by Nidhi- who first contacted me and came to meet me in person. I feel homely here. I enjoy exercises, playing cards and crafts. Activities are all wonderful. I have made many good friends here. I like sitting in the patio . Very neat and clean home. Will recommend to people. I like my apartment- it's spacious clean and peaceful. In nutshell I am very happy here. They really take care of our mental and physical health. They care for elderly people here. GREAT PLACE !!

At this writing, I have been a resident for two weeks. Everyone has been truly warm and welcoming. The food is excellent with more than one choice at each meal. If you can't make it to the dining room, your meal can be delivered to your room. It's a big transition from owning your own home to residential living but the staff and residents have made that move as smooth and painless as possible. Every day you can participate in the many activities that are provided or use the time for your own pursuits. C'mon and join a great community and enjoy your "golden " years.

After my wife died family thought it was time to consider moving into a retirement residence. My daughter and I visited The Court at Brooklin and after meeting very friendly staff and a tour of the building I knew this was the place for me…and signed up immediately! After a month I am well settled in my large apartment and everything is 5 star! I have never felt better in my life…quickly made new friends and love being pampered by the wonderful staff! If you are thinking of moving into a seniors retirement complex…look no further…make The Court at Brooklin your new home!

My mom loves it there. She thinks of the staff as her extended family. They are caring, friendly, and always there to help. Even though it's "independent living," I feel relieved knowing that the staff look out for her and the residents in general.

Mom was quite reluctant to make the change to assisted living, but decided to take the plunge and is she ever glad she did. No more lonely days! Now she is busy doing lots of fun stuff, and is happy with new friends and loves her cozy apartment with her large balcony. We are so happy for her and we feel a sense of relief knowing she is safe and happy in her new home. So grateful to the whole team who has welcomed mom and made settling in for her easy and smooth.

My best friend needed a place for her dad however she lives in Florida so i told her i had visited court of Brooklin and i liked it for my own parents so i suggested it to her and her brother. Nidhi sent my friend the images over the internet and gave her brother a tour. Within a couple of weeks her dad moved in. They are accommodating with his Gluten free needs. This Community is a RELAXED WAY OF LIVING- This comes to my mind. No Stress here as things are cared for.People are friendly here.Apartment are spacious and clean.The best thing here is - our health has improved since we have come here- the reason is meals are nutritionally balanced and according to Canadian food guide.We are happy with the activities too.another aspect which is very important at this age for us is socializing- and we have that ample in this community.we have also find people with common interest here, which makes us happy.Staff and managers are welcoming and make you feel belonged. I am considering a move to a retirement home so have researched most homes in the area. I visited THE COURT AT BROOKLIN and decided to do a 1 month trial stay at the Court for 2 reasons: The dining room and the food were excellent. The food was hot( that's hard to do when serving a large group) and there was a warm, friendly feeling in the home. I felt welcome. The trial went well. My room was clean, furnished and comfortable. I made friends quickly and they included me in the activities I was interested in. I enjoyed my trial stay. I plan to return if I can encourage my husband to move with me.

After doing the homework of touring & comparing 8 different retirement residences in Durham, The Court at Brooklin won in every aspect: clean, spacious, pricing, great dining & activities, friendly, but especially in its WARMTH towards their residents & with a culture of genuine & quality care……thank-you Colin LeBrun, Yvette & Sylvia for almost 4 wonderful years that my parents enjoyed here! Where else could you find a wrap-around verandah on the ground floor?

After facing some horrible group home housing/care arrangements for my grandfather provided through the social workers at the hospital, I reached out to the court at Brooklin. Nidhi was there to save the day. After being forced out of the current group home for my grandfather, Nidhi was able to assist in furnishing and making a room available for my grandfather in less than 2 weeks. The staff have been amazing, friendly, caring, accommodating and welcoming. The building is very clean and quiet. My grandfather can't take advantage of many of the amenities available, but there are more than enough as well as the ability to use their bus for day trips. He's very happy, enjoys his meals (I can even join him for meals which is really nice.) and is content spending his days here with the other residents. I'm able to visit everyday, and his PSW's have no issues reaching him. There is also the ability to have The Court provide extra PSW support at an affordable rate. Laundry is on site and free, as well as food/drinks available 24/7 as well as the planned 3 full meals a day. Most important to my grandfather, his TSN channel is available in the existing cable packages included in the price. Colin, the GM is almost always available to connect with any questions, concerns or suggestions to help with quality of life and comfort. The price is a bit steep, but compared to three other places I tried, it's worth the investment for peace of mind. I haven't seen my grandfather this content with his living conditions in months. This is now where he wants to spend the rest of his life; thank you court at brooklin. Keep up the great work.

My 91 year old mother has been at The Court for a month now, and we are delighted with it. Her apartment is bright and comfortable, there is a wide range of activities, and she finds the food very tasty. The staff are friendly and helpful, and everyone has gone out of their way to help her settle in. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, everything is clean and tidy, and it seems like a very nice place to live.

Terrible place. DO NOT BRING YOUR ELDERLY to this place. They are focused on money with no service. Food is terrible. The management staff and front desk are never there and they are very controlling. This place is not even licenced under the Retirement Homes Regulatory Authority of Ontario.

My mother enjoyed her stay here for 4 years. However, the food quality has significantly gone down in the last few years. Was happy with the staff until she needed LTC and the director tried to imply it is offered here. IT IS NOT! A private 24/7 PSW is way out of her budget, contrary to their belief! They also made her move to Wynfield-assisted living, difficult by not allowing us all to get it done and with only one elevator (that you can't reserve) the movers will cost us a fortune. I no longer recommend this place. The staff is friendly but the quality of the place has done down hill both the decor and food. Only INDEPENDENT seniors should be here!

My father has been placed here as he reaches the end of his retirement. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The location is very clean and kept modern. Very good venue for food for the residents. Would have rated 5 stars if the room was a little bit bigger. Pretty small.
