Two years ago, I moved to Brookdale Grand Prairie to become part of a family community. I have been very greatly pleased with a community that exceeded my expectations and I am also pleased that staff is really part of that community. Everyone here really cares for others and no one encounters difficulties that go uncared for by other members of the community. Social interaction at meals and activities is delightful. The apartments are very well designed and comfortable. The dining room is spacious and very attractive, the food is wonderful, and the various meeting and activity rooms facilitate life here very well. I am so grateful that God guided me here.

I just had to give a 5 star review about the fantastic service we received today. My business, Parsons Home Team has moved seniors for over 9 years to all of the senior living communities in the area and I can honestly say that Bill is by far the best maintenance director we have worked with. We arrived at 8:15 to start unpacking and Bill not only met me as I was walking in, he had already been in the cottage setting up the cable box for our clients. He also built up a ramp to the back door so that they could take their scooters back there to enjoy the sunshine. Each time he came in, he asked if there was anything we needed. Moving day for our clients is a big deal and even the smallest missed detail can be difficult. Bill made sure every detail was taken care of. I can’t say enough about how great he is. Outstanding experience!

We have been here about a month and ate feeling at home. The very first thing I noticed was the friendliness of staff and residents. No question was ignored and help has always been available . The food is unbelievable! Sometimes institutional food gets a pretty bad rap. I have to say the food here at Brookdale Grand Prairie is a cut above the rest and goodness,from the salads, to soups, to entree, to dessert, we never leave the table hungry . There is also a weekly meeting with the chef to talk about the menus. Today a group of us went to Mary's Peak and had a great time on the bus. There are so many activities to do that it's hard to get to them all . We have a chapel, a library,laundry, meeting room, as well as a spa/ gym area. We have been pleasantly surprised and are looking forward to calling Brookdale Grand Prairie home for years to come.

My mother has enjoyed living at Brookdale. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. They truly care about the well being of all their residents. When I visit, I have always felt very welcomed. Any concerns I’ve had are addressed immediately and efficiently. I appreciate the kitchen staff and their willingness to cater to the needs of each resident. My husband and I moved to Brookdale Grand Prairie almost a year ago and have been extremely happy living here. Although this will be the shortest time we have lived in one place everything has been perfect. We will be leaving at the end of March to be closer to my sisters in North Carolina which they have been trying to get me to do for years - now is the right time. The facilities here are clean and well kept and decorated with seasonal decor. We can't say enough about how well we've been treated by all the staff from the executive director all the way down to the maintenance men. It's a community that cares for each resident and has a family atmosphere. The dining room staff are exceptionally friendly and address all residents by their first name. We have enjoyed the "themed" dinners and all the extra parties that happen during the year. There are plenty of activities if you want to keep busy. We've made some really good friends with residents who live here and will miss them very much. We would definitely recommend Brookdale Grand Prairie when you get to the point of really retiring with no housework, no house maintenance, no yard work and no cooking. It has been a VERY pleasant experience

There are so many great things about Brookdale Grand Prairie. The community feels like home with cozy decor, and friendly staff around every turn. I have been a resident at Brookdale Grand Prairie for nearly three years and am very happy here. I have a 2-bedroom cottage that is spacious and homey. I also have a laundry room with washer/dryer which is most convenient. I can't say enough positive things about the staff. They care for us like family and serve our needs beautifully. We have meals in the dining room and the food is excellent. We have an opportunity to provide input on the menu and are given many choices. The grounds are near a park and nature trail with views of wildlife. There are many activities planned for residents both within the facility and without. I've made many good friends here and consider this my home now and in the future.

Brookdale Grand Prairie is a warm, welcoming place where you immediately feel like family. The current director has done an amazing job modernizing the community, and individual apartments, while keeping the unique charm that Grand Prairie radiates. The staff are always ready to assist any of the independent residents with whatever they need. Resident meetings are held once a month to discuss community news with the staff and share feedback. Our organization, the National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) Association, held a meeting at the Brookdale Grand Prairie and it was a great experience. The staff was extremely professional and helpful. We felt welcomed and cannot thank them enough for their hospitality. The facility is warm and inviting and the residents that we interfaced with were friendly. It was a good experience!

My mother-in-law has been at Brookdale over 10 years and has enjoyed it very much. A very clean, well-maintained facility with friendly caring staff. The entire facility is one story only which allows each apartment a convenient patio access. I highly recommend the facility.

Brookdale in Albany is the BEST. My parents left the farm after 70 years and of course it was a very big transition for them. The staff at Brookdale were so helpful and considerate during this very sensitive time. They cheered them on, my parents transitioned well, and the Brookdale crew are now like family for us. I highly recommend joining this community - you wont be sorry.
