My aunt is living here and several of us family from California and Oklahoma came to visit and you all reserved a room for us to have lunch and a wonderful visit. Jacob and Nicole are incredibly responsive, thoughtful, and welcoming”not just to residents and families, but also to those of us who work alongside them. The entire staff creates an environment that feels warm, respectful, and truly resident-focused. If you're considering a community for a loved one, I highly recommend taking a look at American House Southgate. It's a place where people are genuinely cared for, and I can honestly say I've never had a visit that didn't end with a gigantic smile on my face and the knowledge that residents truly felt comfortable and at home.

We just recently moved my mother in law into Southgate American House and she loves it. I had been looking for the right place for her for months and found it here. When I went in for the tour Jacob,Nicole, and Sherice(sorry not sure correct spelling) were so kind and helpful. They really put me at ease. The residents were also very friendly and helpful. The first day I took mom down to eat in cafeteria and she met so many new friends. They were all willing to help her learn where everything is and just a wonderful bunch of people. I would recommend to anyone looking for a safe place for their loved one. The apartments are beautiful and again she truly loves being there.

Had a great tour with Ashley while looking for a place for mom. She decided to go to Taylor location instead since it was closer to where we all live, but it was not an easy decision.

My mother-in-law, who's 97, and her son (who suffered a stroke last year) moved into a 2 bedroom apartment. My mother-in-law was very hesitant about leaving her home of 50+ years but has since become very comfortable with her new living arrangements. She visits the exercise room regularly and enjoys walking outside when weather permits. The level of care provided by the staff more than met our expectations. The staff is very friendly and always go out of their way to quickly and willingly respond to any issues that may arise. They have medical personnel on sight that can respond to any emergencies and can also provide on-going patient care. Many times, when we visit, the lobby is filled with people enjoying entertainment provided by the management. I would definitely recommend American House in Southgate to anyone requiring assisted living for a loved one.

My mom recently moved here and the staff and residents have been wonderful to her! There are lots of things for her to do and learn (a new card game!) and so many new friends. Our family is impressed with the staff's professionalism and follow through. We are relieved to know mom is in safe hands in a warm, caring and welcoming enviroment!

I come here every other week to be in the salon offering nail care & it gives me time to chat with the folks who live here, & so far as I’ve heard, everyone really enjoys it. I see friendships & groups playing cards, bonding over one of the dogs who lives here, eating with friends every day, regular trips out & about. I feel like we’re always hearing nightmare stories about facilities like these, but the staff really goes above & beyond to keep things safe & fun here for the residents

Toured American House Southgate last year with mom and were super impressed by the facilities, staff, and amenities for residents. Mom has been living her best life at AH since she moved in last year! Would recommend AH to anyone looking for a great place for aging parents.

I visited this location for a tour and thought the community was clean, comfortable and inviting. The staff were extremely friendly! They seemed to offer a good variety of meal options and had a lot of fun activities.

The property and building were so beautiful! Clean, well maintained and beautifully decorated. Staff was so nice especially Rachel. All of the residents I spoke with seemed happy and they were active and friendly everywhere we went in the building. What a great place!

My mother and father have lived there for a few years now and they really feel at home. Michelle the building manager and the entire staff do a wonderful job. My mother participates in many of the fun resident activities. They beautifully decorate the interior and exterior for each holiday. The building is always well maintained.
