My name is Brian Daley. I have been a resident at Drum Hill Senior Living Community now 9 months, 3 months shy of a year. I do not sugar-coat my reviews, doing so would be an injustice to those considering bringing their "loved-ones" here. Be assured I am not going to mislead anyone.I am brutally honest. Lynn Lomax Our Executive Director is very caring and dedicated, her number one priority is residents feeling comfortable, welcome and safe. It is not unusual for Lynn to be working on weekends, or even being called in late at night. Drum Hill is Blessed and Fortunate for Lynn's dedication. Russell is incredible. Always Obliging, cheerful, flexible and Obliging. Russell brings a smile to everyone first thing in the morning. His enthusiasm is contagious. His Wonderful Wife Barbara is a huge help here as well, and has been someone I have trusted time and again as someon to confide in. And always had and shared the right solution/suggestion Our Housekeeping Staff are exceptional and professional, service with a smile.Thank you for all you do Tabitha, Marjorie and Nancy. And Johnny Hernandez whom has been wearing a few hats, Porter, Maintenance, and whatever other hat Russell puts on his head that day. Love and Miss you, appreciate all you did for me in making living at Drum Hill a reality Jeanine Baney, my wonderful, and favorite younger Sister. My Mom has been living here for quite sometime. She truly adores all of the staff and the community. Visiting is never a hassle and is always such a pleasure. The community director Lynn Lomax is such a wonderful woman. I thank both her and the Drum Hill staff every time for making my Mom feel so safe and at home.

On Nov. 14th it will be two years that I am living at Drum Hill Senior Living. The choice to move was not mine but I had to move near my daughter in Yorktown Heights and leave my home of ten plus years. I must admit that it was very difficult in the beginning; I didn't know anybody and all I did was play bingo once a week. There were different activities like exercise classes and chair yoga, but I'm not one that likes to exercise. I began to meet more people and participated in smaller group activities such as doing puzzles and sitting outside watching the Hudson view. Now, I'm busy every day playing games, listening to Nicole, the new activities director. She has interactive sessions with us on various topics about different artists, the Sistine Chapel, trivia games and getting us together to share our past experiences. To encourage resident participation, we get prizes when playing different games. We recently started playing chair volleyball and everybody is enjoying it. We have many laughs throughout the day. I'm also a member of the Spanish Club, we have a meeting every month and we celebrate different holidays, and we eat Spanish food, drink wine, and have a good time. We are lucky we have Frank the hairdresser here at Drum Hill twice a week. We don't have to go out to have our hair done and there is also Sabiha the manicurist, she's here once a week. They both keep us looking good which is a great advantage to have. We are often asked for our opinion on things we like and would like to do. A month ago, I was away from Drum Hill for a week, and I missed being here. I'm having a good time and I enjoy talking to all the residents and I'm grateful to my daughter for bringing me here. Thank you to Drum Hill for making my stay here a happy one and looking forward to many more years here.

I need to say something about Priscilla. She is absolutely amazing and anyone who has the pleasure to speak with her will agree. Drum Hill did not fit the bill for my in-laws. They need too much care. But Priscilla went out of her way to learn about my family and offer help and suggestions in any way she could. Even though she knew I would need to move on, she still will take my phone calls and help me and my family. I am eternally grateful to her for listening and being there for my family during a very difficult time. If you have family at Drum Hill or considering living at Drum Hill, you can be sure she will guide you and be there for you every step of the way. Thank you Priscilla!!!

I can’t contacted the facility via email in regards to relocating my 87 year old mother back to NY from NJ. I am so grateful for the level of expertise and compassion. My 102-year-old mother-in-law, Marion, has been living at Drum Hill for the past several years (originally with my father-in-law prior to his death) and in addition to her loving it, our family has been comforted knowing that she has been treated with much love, admiration and respect. She has been made to feel a part of a second family. She has made friends with her table mates and the “girls” who played canasta with her pre-COVID. While the place is beautiful and always immaculately clean, the special part of Drum Hill is the amazing staff under the wonderful and dedicated direction of Kathy, the Executive Director. Heartfelt thanks go to Russell (the most giving and accommodating concierge humanly possible), to all the evening and weekend receptionists who are happy to help whenever needed, to Tabitha (the housekeeper who accommodates all of Marion’s requests and who doubles as a caring friend to Marion), to the kitchen staff who are all kind and attentive to Marion’s preferences, to Diane (the administrative assistant) who is always there, with a smile, when needed; to Priscilla (the marketing director who identified the right apartment from the beginning) and to Joanne (the creative activities director) who develops programs for everyone and special events honoring the residents. There are truly not enough ways to adequately describe the staff and the care, love, attention, kindness, support, understanding and warmth that is personified. My mom has been living at Drum Hill for over four years and tells us every day how lucky she is to have found the perfect place to live. The staff is wonderful, kind, caring, friendly and every staff member is always willing to go the extra mile to help no matter what time of day or night. Our family takes comfort in knowing that my mom is in a clean, safe, friendly, loving environment and we are extremely grateful to the staff of Drum Hill.

My mom lived at Drum Hill for the past 7 years. The family took comfort in knowing she was in a safe, clean and caring environment. We all appreciated, including mom, the kind caring staff, from the front desk, kitchen staff, house keeping, transportation drivers & maintenance. Everyone was always available to assist & accommodate her needs. She had a lovely apartment which enabled her to be independent. I am so thankful that we found this facility and I would recommend Drum Hill to anyone. Thank you.

Drum Hill has been a godsend for me and my parents. My Mom and Dad moved in 15 years ago and we just celebrated Mom's 100th! She is engaged and active every day and well cared for. The management and staff do a tremendous job and really care about their residents. This is the only Independent Care Facility within the region that provides meals and activities and allows my mother to stay within her own home and now in later years have the assistance of an aide. It makes no sense to spend money on an expensive assisted living facility. Drum Hill offers all of that and more!

My dad moved into a very nice one-bedroom apartment in Drum Hill in October 2009. After touring Drum Hill and speaking with the staff, I felt very confident my dad would be safe, comfortable and happy there. Drum Hill provided lunch and dinner (good food!), medical alert devices in the bathroom & bedroom, lots of daily activities, and transportation for shopping and doctor appointments. Dad liked Drum Hill so much he wouldn't relocate to New Hampshire when I moved there in 2012. Unfortunately, a few years later, dad started having memory issues, and also had significant hearing and vision loss. Once again, I tried to get him to relocate near me, but he refused. The next few years were very challenging as his dementia progressed. But with the help and support of the staff at Drum Hill, my dad was able to age in place there until he passed away in 2021. I want to thank all the staff at Drum Hill for their kindness and patience with my dad. I am forever grateful to you. If you're looking for a safe, clean & comfortable place for a loved one to live, this is it.

My mother has been a resident at Drum Hill for over 4 years - Best decision we ever made. The apartments are lovely and the grounds and common areas are very clean, inviting and safe. The staff is attentive and very caring.
