Dawn The Medical Team Nurse helped me with a prescription from my dads old company. She saved me the red tape and phone calls. Thanks Dawn I am leaving this review to express my upmost respect and how impressed I am with American House Riverview, MI. My father has been in independent living for 2 weeks. JOE the Community Relations Director is absolutely the most helpful person. He is excellent and has helped me navigate the process. The cleaning crew is always at work and the building is spotless. While at the same time making my dad's bed and emptying the garbage daily. KAT the Activities Director is wonderful and creative. JAYLEN the Dining Hall Supervisor is the best. He is so very polite and knows all the residents names. He always has "eating under control". ERLENE the Head Nurse is very helpful and always helps with any medical issues, All the nurses are efficient and helpful. DAN the maintenance man is great. My dad needed a towel rack fixed and he had it done immediately. This is a great place.

At a time when caring for loved ones become top priority, American House Riverview is the best downriver. Staff is excellent responding to the helps and needs of residents. They have their choice in regards to participating in activities. Something always going on. Bus trips, games, movies, outside activities when able, conversation. You make friends here. Highly recommend. Another point with negative reviews. As people age, they don't always want that these services. They want to be home, their home their life style back. Tough time for all involved. Caregivers have to make good but heartbreaking decisions. Food and services here are top notch. The food staff are always available with weekly meetings to discuss any problems and looking for suggestions on the menu. I highly recommend American House Riverview. Take a tour, meet the staff, spend quality time and ask questions.

This is a wonderful facility! I recently gave a talk on dementia and had an opportunity to speak to staff and many of the residents. I heard the same thing over and over, it's a happy very friendly place. The residents are excited that the lady "in charge" as they say, is present, kind, and can be seen engaging with all that live there. I was highly impressed! The staff are taking a page out of her book, and can be seen smiling and laughing with the residents. I HIGHLY recommend American House Riverview

We moved my dad into American House, Riverview on June 30th, 2023. He was in a condo alone and getting food delivered by meals on wheels. He was lacking companionship as well as nutrition. He has Parkinson's and struggles with some activities. Since moving in, he says that he is eating better than he has since my mom passed away. He loves that he has met people that are in similar circumstances. Having someone cleaning for him regularly, cooking meals and having activities offered has been a game changer for the quality of life that he has now. Thank you American House and your staff for giving my dad a better life

This exclusive Designation honors only the top 3% of senior care providers across the United States and Canada. This comes as no surprise to us. We Love American House and truly believe they deserve this Honor and many more! The people here are some of the hardest working, most compassionate, caring people you would ever be blessed to meet.We moved here during the most stressful time in our lives with the passing of my Father (who was my mothers caregiver) and the PandemicI must say from the very beginning, when I first contacted American House in Riverview to find out about availability, Nicole (the community relations director) was excellent at guiding me and helping me understand possible options. I am forever grateful for her help, she is a living angel. Flash forward a couple months and the transition has gone very smooth. My mom loves her apartment and the team of people she interacts with daily. Taja, (the director) does a great job keeping the residents and the families informed, she is very personable and really cares about the happiness of the residents and that they are well taken care of.The chef prepares delicious food, that my mom loves. The food staff employees are all very nice. Lakita and Lamar are two of my favorites that work serving the food. They both go out of their way to provide excellent service to the residents. Housekeeping staff are trustworthy and treat my mom and her apartment with respect. Dan (maintenance) is terrific and takes the time to learn the residents names and interacts with each of them. Delene, and Samantha (receptionists) are very sweet too. Arlene and the medical team have been very helpful with getting moms care needs met. The employees at American House do their job everyday and do it well, even during a Pandemic. Definitely recommend American House in Riverview!

My mother in law has lived here 8 years and we have no complaints. The staff is caring and attentive. She thinks of each one as family During COVID they have been exceptional at making sure residents are safe. I would recommend American House Riverview to anyone looking for a safe, clean fun environment for their loved one

If you have an aging love one that still needs a little helping had, American House is a fantastic alternative to assisted living or a nursing home.My 94 yo father lives here and he (and the rest of my family) love it. The staff is super friendly and we dont have to worry about his safety. He has a nice apartment, 3 meals a day, housekeeping keeps the apt. clean and we are immediately contacted if something that requires family intervention.American House is highly recommend.

I moved my brother Mark Tyra in American House in Riverview in September 2020 and from that first phone call to Taja was the best one I ever made!! Taja was very pleasant to me and got me in the right direction and in contact with Nicole and It just went up from there!!! They were both very helpful and compassionate and assured me my brother would get the care he so much needed and deserved!! I knew I was making the right decision in making this his new home

Coming upon 1 year at Riverview. Apartment is spacious and comfortable. We have been under COVID guidelines for the majority of the time. masks,social distance,hand washing. We have had to have our meals to our rooms. Staff have all been very pleasant and friendly and helping to adjust to situation. When allowed by rules we attempted a meal once a week with guidelines. Returned to minimal social interaction with restrictions and by scheduling for controlled number to attend. However due to increased COVID in area stricter guidelines had to be re instated.. Our Life Enrichment person as kept us supplied with crafts.books,help with technology skills for some to contact families. Hopefully COVID will ease up a little and slowly disappear so we may all return to normal activities and reacquainted with each other. American House Riverview has really worked very hard to make a difficult situation as tolerable as possible. Rooms cleaned weekly. Attempt to provide nutritional meals to rooms. Administration attempting to keep us informed on the situation as she receives information. Just have to hang on little longer.

We moved our Mom in this past September We can not say enough about the staff. Moving her into assistant living was a difficult decision. We could not be happier with American House Riverview. She has her own 2 bedroom apartment that is very well maintained. The staff is AMAZING, to name a few Taja and Nichole who led us through the move in process and took a very personal interest in getting to know us and our familys needs. All of the food service staff and cleaning personal are very friendly and sweet, they make my Mom feel special. They have been able to address all of our concerns. Covid has added restrictions and they have taken measures to keep the facility safe. Large group gatherings had to be cut back at this time but they have found ways to keep some interactions with the residents. We are grateful to have our Mom there where we know she will be well taken care of and kept safe. My Mom still has her own personal space and dignity & loves the meals they provide!

I am so pleased with American House Riverview and their care for my mother in law. We could not have provided the same level of care and safety as they have during the COVID-19 time. The staff has went above and beyond to keep her safe and meet all her needs. We appreciate all of the staff and American House leaders during this difficult time.

My aunt resided there for a year. She developed dementia and could no longer reside there safely. I thank the staff for their patience while trying to relocate her. She has since passed. I just wanted to say she received great care and assistance at American House. The staff went out of their way to assist me, the caregiver and all the staff were wonderful.

My Mom lived at American House in Riverview for 4 years. She passed away 2 years ago &looking back Im so glad she lived there. She made many friends & had many activities tokeep her from being lonely. I was there a lot & got to know the other residents & staff too. Noplace is perfect but it was very comforting to know she was safe & lived out her remainingyears with new friends & enjoying herself with the many activities they offer!

My Mom had a one bedroom apartment here for three months. I can honestly say we had no issues or concerns, and trust me this was a very stressful time in our lives. The reason she is no longer there is because she passed. All of the staff were considerate and caring for my Mom. We utilized The Medical Team for her medical care. They were awesome. My Mom regarded these ladies as her friends and they were very loving and caring for her. This facility and the people who staff it were the reason I was able to sleep at night. I am so glad we made the choice to have Mom reside here. Thank you all.

It has been about 2 months since I moved my uncle into the Riverview facility and am extremely happy I did so. With the Thanksgiving season coming soon Id like to thank the Mgmt staff, housekeeping and medical team for the warm and excellent care and attention youve showm my uncle. Everyone has gone out of there way to make him feel welcome. I appreciate the cleanliness of the facility as well as the decorations done for the seasons and holidays. Thank you, thank you for the jobs you do so well - my family really appreciates it!
