I have been here 7 years and thing get better in many areas but need to bring back the great things we had in the dining room such as table numbers, activities on the back of the menu, place mats and lazy Susan's with mayo, ketchup.

I have visited The Gardens a few times and each time I visit, I see how warm and welcoming the community is. I absolutely love the changes in decor that came with renovations. The staff go above and beyond for the residents and the residents all care about each other and seem more like family. The food is delicious and there is a good variety too!

I was very impressed with the Gardens at Wakefield when I toured it for my parents. It is a clean, modern facility with a beautiful garden and surprisingly large apartments. My parents were able to move into a newly renovated apartment overlooking the garden. It's so nice that they will have weekly housekeeping and all meals included! The staff and residents have been kind and welcoming to my parents as they settle in. We like how close the Gardens is to lots of shopping, a great library, and YMCA.

Built for Senior Housing on 12800 Spruce Tree Way, are 120 apartments. I have always wanted to see the inside of the Gardens at Wakefield. Here I am in 2024 as a 3/4% age of a Senior. I have had the pleasure of touring and renting my dream apartment home. Little did I know how kind and receptive this community would be. Filled with activitives, lovely living space, with 3 meals a day. The campus also has beautiful River Birch trees and shrubs. Come on over, you won't regret it.

Terrific ',A cruise ship on land, Spacious apartments, great food 3 meals a day. smiling faces and fabulous helpers. wished I had known sooner and would have had more fun earlier. Give it a try. If by chance, not for you, only 30 days to move out. What is to worry????

The Gardens at Wakefield has the perfect blend of active community with the added care for those who need an extra hand. My mom is pretty independent. However, my dad needed the extra care. The Gardens provided a place where they could both live happily together. The staff is above and beyond friendly and helpful. The food whether delivered to the apartment, or served at the dining room is fantastic. The residents are so welcoming to a new resident and make them feel like one big happy family. They recognize the person who may need a little extra boost, or to hold a door open, or to speak a little louder in an ear. Sometimes just a friendly hug and a: "I'll knock on your door to pick you up to go to the activity today" is all a person needs to feel part of a warm community. Moms physical therapy is a convenient walk down the hall. Dad could easily wheel himself down the hall for a little exercise (instead of bumping into things if he were to live in my home). I am grateful my mom now has built in friendships to help her through the grief of my dads recent passing. The Gardens gave our family the greatest gift of love and happy atmosphere in my dads last days. It truly feels like mom is on a cruise with her most supportive friends. Our family is confident that The Gardens at Wakefield is the perfect choice.

We visited three facilities with my parents and although each one was lovely we all felt there was something different about the Gardens at Wakefield. The facility and apartments are beautiful and very clean, but it was the people that made the difference for us. Tina gave us a wonderful tour and knew all the residents by name. Everyone we spoke to had positive feedback about living here, and were very warm and welcoming to my parents.

In the long process of finding a place for my parents the Gardens at Wakefield was where we kept coming back to. The staff and especially Tina were outstanding in answering our questions. My parents will be moving there within the next month and we are very excited, We took several tours in the process and the whole process was very caring and professional. Thank you.

The Gardens at Wakefield, Raleigh , offers the highest level of services and caring. Our experience living at The Gardens improved our lifestyle , our social life , and the prospects of good health care. This retirement facility offers 3 healthy and tasty meals every day. Chef Richard is willing to meet the dietary needs of the residents and provide a diverse menu ! Those who serve for each meal are kind , efficient , and willing to please. Meals in the lovely dining room were opportunities to meet other residents and spend quality time visiting with those with whom you had acquired friendships. We made many lasting friends while living at The Gardens. I believe the services that were offered contributed to sustaining good health and social capabilities. We had blood pressure checks, on site physical therapy, hearing aide care, social activities which enhanced our frame of mind , and transportation to outside facilities . There were hairdressers available on a daily basis. One could not get bored while living at The Gardens at Wakefield or feel neglected in any way. Marissa provided outstanding entertainment and social programs. General Manager , Mark Alexander, offered outstanding leadership in meeting our needs in all areas. He not only led ; he participated by involving himself in all aspects of operation and services. He was always available to listen to our needs and suggestions. Tina , the Sales Manager , worked diligently to bring in residents that enriched our community. She assisted our newcomers in the transitions needed when first arriving to this retirement community. She was always present to hear our problems or suggestions . The Gardens at Wakefield gave us a new outlook on aging and provided us with many opportunities to preserve good health , maintain a happy lifestyle , and feel that we were cared for by all who participated in the operation of this outstanding senior retirement community !

The Gardens at Wakefield is a beautiful community perfectly and conveniently located in North Raleigh. When you're there you are not only a resident but family. My mom enjoyed her 4 years living at The Gardens and made many friends, and I personally still enjoy going each month and entertaining and fellowshipping with the residents. The new renovations are looking gorgeous!! This community truly is a jewel in the area!

My Mom enjoys being a resident here & loves the food. The staff is friendly, professional, caring & responsive to the resident's needs. The Gardens was recently renovated (Lobby, Dining Room, Common areas, etc) & everything looks beautiful & modern. There are a good variety of activities for all to enjoy. You can participate in as few or as many as you like which is nice. Would definitely recommend the Gardens.

My father has been a resident for almost a year. The staff is wonderful, friendly and caring. The dining options and food has been very good. The recent renovations in the common areas have really brightened up these areas. We are really pleased with this community.

A wonderful caring community. My mother has lived here for 5 years and loves it. The staff are wonderful and so attentive. The make sure my mother's unique conditions of vision and hearing impairments do not keep her from feeling a part of the community and loved.

would like to see more of the individual apartments including room set-up and furniture arrangement for each room. im not especially interested in a full kitchen since all meals are furnished, would rather have a kitchenette without a stove, just a microwave, this would allow more space for storage etc.

So far, so good!Rose moved in on the 13th and the staff was so attentive from Day 1. It is a difficult adjustment for anyone but all employees from the servers, Housekeepers, office personnel and others made Rose feel welcomed.This would be a 5 (and will be changed) pending my return in early November.All I can say at this point is a BIG thank you.

Ive been working as an independent caregiver to a few seniors in this establishment. The staff here is so caring! They are on a first name basis with residents, and can often be seen giving them hugs and engaging them in conversation. There are a lot of activities and ways to encourage residents to be active and make new friends. Ive even seen staff knock on doors just to check in residents and say hello. The facility is clean and comfortable. The food, although not fancy, is really quite good. The brownies and lemon meringue pie are out of this world! The fish and chips are a favorite too. And of course having a coffee bar and fresh popcorn in the lobby is convenient for gathering to talk about the day or play a game. I would feel blessed to end up here in my senior years.
