This was a wonderful place for my 80+ yo mother to stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. The community was warm and inviting and was just what my mom needed at the time. There were many activities she was able to join, and having a place that serves 3 meals a day in their dining room was exceptionally nice. The main reason she left was to be closer to family.

I strongly believe that Highland trail has xclnt staff very friendly very socialable they have dining available Breakfast, lunch& dinner great food the staff are very outgoing friendly very clean 3 stories of very comfortable rooms they have Bingo Thursday's & Saturday's they have other activities going on... Jo the Manager is extremely friendly loves to interact with the people at Highland trail if you ever want to send you loved ones there y'all won't regret it... It's a Happy place for your loved ones to go to...‘ Plus they have a Hair Salon the lady there does a. Beautiful job on the people there they love what she does her name is Sandy she's wonderful there & she loves what she does too it shows... people are extremely happy with their hairdos

Highland Trail Skyactive Living is a great place for people who don’t want to maintain a personal home anymore, or need the freedom of 3 meals a day, housekeeping, company of like-minded people and a variety of daily planned activities. The meals are very good as evidenced by the number of people at each meal. Beyond the amenities of Highland Trail, the staff is exceptional and responds quickly to requests and inquiries. They also pay attention and if they see anyone or anything that seems to need attention, they don’t wait to be asked. The staff truly cares about the safety and happiness of the residents. An excellent example is when my 97 y/o father started in-home hospice in his room at Highland Trail. The building management team decided to check on him that first day, before they left for the day and found him laying on the floor after falling out of bed (Hospice doesn’t allow rails on beds due to laws). They contacted EMS who got him safely back in bed. Later, when I urgently needed a Notary for some healthcare forms for my dad, Jo printed the forms for me and called a friend of hers who came over and notarized the forms. My interactions with housekeeping, food service and maintenance has always been very friendly, and they go far out of their way to try to address any issues. When I visited my dad it was not unusual for one or more staff member to ask about him by name. Sadly, my dad had to move to a full time hospice, so he no longer resides at Highland Trail, but I can say with certainty that if I ever have another loved one that needs a community home, I will definitely come back to Highland Trail for them. They have proven that my loved one will be in a caring, extremely nice, place.

My Mother has lived at Highland Trail for one year now! I am very impressed by all the upgrades they have made to the building . The staff have all been informative and friendly . They serve meals in their dining room 3 times a day , with options to choose from . They have activities and entertainment to keep everyone busy. They have a bus to take their residence to DR. Appointments and shopping ,etc. I just can’t say how nice it is to know my Mother is in a safe home making friends and living a productive life . I want to say thank you to Jo and her staff for all the work they do to make HIGHLAND TRAIL A GREAT PLACE TO LIVE !

Such a clean and friendly place! My aunt moved there a little while ago and the waitstaff and concierge have been top notch! In addition, both Rachel and Jo take AMAZING care of each and every resident!

My great grandma has lived there for just over a couple years! I’ve never seen such an amazing group of staff. Jo the business coordinator has been such help! Terra, Erick, D, and Mary have been super helpful at the front desk! They are one of a kind team!

Our group Prestige Music has performed at Highland Trail during the past year. We have had a very good experience with staff and residents. All staff we have worked with has been very helpful. We, the resident council of Highland Trail, would like everyone to know how wonderful the staff here at Highland Trail is. All the managers and staff have come together and pitched in to help us through this difficult transition time. Rachel, our new general manager is accomplishing things that have been needed to be done for quite a while. She is taking responsibility for all aspects of Highland Trail, from waiting tables, clearing dishes, taking out trash to responding to the Resident Council's recommendations. She is excellent and very capable. Marcos, our executive chef has stepped up when we lost our maintenance person. He is handling things like putting in new heating/cooling units in apartments, fixing toilets and more. Leslie, our office manager, has been a key person in this transition time. She has given us continuity and stability when we had no manager or assistant manager. Her knowledge of running Highland Trail is outstanding. We depend on her daily. Mary, our sales manager, gets new residents into our community and follows up to see if they are settling in well. Everyone just loves her. She has a great talent for increasing the size of our community with new residents. Jun, our activity director, has many wonderful activities for us to do. We have a full schedule of activities. He also has taken on many roles during this difficult transition time. He does housekeeping, waits tables, helps in the kitchen and more. The wait staff is great. They serve us meals three times a day, clear dishes and set up for the next meal. They are dedicated and work very hard to please all of us. We can't say enough about how wonderful they and all the staff are. These people are the best!

I moved into Highland Trail earlier this year and I couldn't be happier. My first impression was made excellent because Mary is outstanding. She took the time to really get to know my needs and made me feel comfortable from the 1st moment. I brought my adult children back to do a tour that night and they had no reservations about my moving in. I would like to extend many thanks to Mary for doing a great job--she and I still have frequent chats full of laughter. I would also like to praise Jun, our wonderful Activities Director. He is always so upbeat and smiling. He works extremely hard to get to know each resident and makes it a point to make this seem like a real family environment. Highland Trail would be lost without him. Lastly, I want to compliment the chef, Marco. He makes the resident's concerns a top priority. He also makes himself available to help out wherever there is a need. I love living here!!!

Mom has lived at Highland Trail for 8+ years now, and we have experienced many changes over this time. One thing that has stayed the same is the caring staff who do their best to meet the needs of all residents; no matter the management/ownership changes that have come along the way. I have seen these people go above and beyond. The Highland Trail community is a nice place to call home . I am glad that my Mom has found a place there, close to me!

My Aunt lives here, she is extremely happy. She talks so highly of the staff. They genuinely care for the residents. Know everry one of them by name! She talks about how they are greeted every morning for breakfast with a "Good Morning Mary, How are you?" I couldnt ask for a better place . She has transportation 5 days a week for shopping if she wants. Dr. Appointments, bank if she wants, and whatever she wants to do. They go on outings once a week , either to lunch or a special shopping trip. Plus there is never a shortage of things to do! They have live music every Friday...she loves it!! I could go on and on about how wonderful the staff is here. But you truly will not find a management team who cares more about the residents. They know each one is unique and needs to be handled with love. And they do it every day and they do it well!!

I moved here 8 months ago and I feel management has done the best they can, considering all the changes that have occurred, due to the new ownership takeover. They are understaffed and yet they thrive to please and care for everyone’s concerns, which can be difficult to do with senior citizens. Great people need to be appreciated, and I appreciate all of the management!

As a vendor I coordinate services through Jun, the administrators and the brilliant adults at Highland Trails. Their attention to detail, yet flexibility in planning has made the delivery of entertainment and activities seamless and enjoyable. The residents have quickly become great friends. I just want to say how great the staff is here. Everyone has stepped up to the needs of our community. Marcos is cooking and filling in for maintenance. He swapped out an air-conditioner the other day. Rachel is working hard to meet the resident's needs. She pitches in and waits on tables and busses dishes. Mary is hardworking and really gets the new residents into our little family. Her follow up is fantastic, people love her. Leslie has been a crucial part of the team during this difficult transition. Without her we would be lost. She has kept us going when we had no manager. We rely on her knowledge daily. Jun the activity director has stepped up for all our needs. He waits tables, cleans rooms. He takes care of all the housekeeping needs. He truly is a man with many roles, too numerous to even name. If you need anything done you ask Jun. And the wait staff and kitchen workers are just wonderful. They work for us so hard. I can't thank them enough!! I love these people!!!

I can only provide five star ratings to the fantastic team at Highland Trail. The team members: Mary, Jun, Leslie , Rachael and Marco are one of the kind. They are so special to me! I find the residents and the staff are so caring and compassionate. My dog, Gizmo has become the community treasure that everyone appreciates and enjoys! Highly recommended this place!

After visiting MANY other facilities, I chose Highland for my mother. My mom LOVED this place. Its clean, well kept and the staff was always spot-on. The only issue we encountered was lack of communication/direction when we first moved in. (Laundry room days, cleaning schedule, simple things...and was resolved with a simple conversation) I had the absolute pleasure to dine with my mom multiple times (Breakfast, lunch and dinner) and though its not Michelin Star rated ...the food is actually very doable. Reviews are reviews... if you are considering this place, simply walk in, talk to multiple tenants and pay attention to how the staff treats the tenants and actually knows them on first name basis. For the value, its by far the best I could find and would highly recommend at least considering it as an option. The entire staff is/was helpful, but Mary took things to a whole new level.

My mother has lived at Highland Trails for 10 years and absolutely loves it. Suzy is a great manager and the staff is friendly and helpful. Mom loves the food and tells me she has never had a bad meal there. Jun is the activity director and has gotten my mother to participate in more activities. I highly recommend Highland Trails.

I have been a resident at Highland Trail for almost five years. We have a new Activity Director and he is trying to establish new activities for us. He is in the process establishing a Rosary Walk for Catholics where members of different parishes would come each week to say the rosary and spend time with us. Other Catholic people and I are very excited about this,and I think it is great for our community.

My mother has been at Highland Trail for over two years now. The staff has been terrific and are always looking for ways to keep the residents entertained. Suzy has done a great job of managing and makes sure that the building is clean, maintained and updated. My mother loves the meals that the chef and his staff prepare. We visited many senior living residences in the area and our happy that we settled on Highland.

A wonderful exceptional place for my mom, she is very social and everyone here is so friendly, helpful and caring, she loves it here. Moved her in to her apartment in February 2020 before covid 19 hit Broomfield. The staff take very good care of my mother and meet her needs.

We plan to move my grandma here next weekend. The place is clean, neat, welcoming. The residents are happy and will even come up and talk to you. We met someone who has been there since they opened 9 years ago and she was very happy to be there. ***As an update to my review a year later. My grandma is still living here and she loves it. She is doing so much better at this facility then her previous facility. She has made a lot of friends and the staff have been extremely helpful and continue to be so happy and pleasant which is saying something when my grandma can be difficult (incredibly stubborn) at times.

Although it has only been a short time, I agree with Kelly McMahon. We moved my mother to Highland Trail, and I am so please with our decision. My mother is still getting adjusted to the changes, but she is enjoying the friendships she is making with everyone and said the food is excellent! Staff is really great and the Residents are very happy and friendly that I have met! I look forward with a long relationship with Highland Trail and highly recommend it! 1/2/2019 Update: My mother has been living at Highland Trail almost a year now. 2018 was a tough year for mom, but in the last 6 months she has been doing very well and has made quite a few friends, does some of the activities and is really enjoying living at Highland Trail. Staff is great and she loves her apartment! Very nice place and not sorry at all that we were lucky enough to have mom there! Highly recommend Highland Trail.

Keep a paper trail (bank statements, receipts, etc.) when dealing with the billing department. I've encountered more than one SNAFU where Highland Trail "lost" my check and I had to remind them via bank statement that they indeed cashed it a few days before claiming it was "lost". Minus one star as well for the bad attitudes I've encountered when dealing with the billing department. Telling me over the phone that you are understaffed and unable to take care of my thousand-dollar mistake not an appropriate response. If anything, take that as a warning too. Understaffing leads to more than just billing mistakes.

Very unfriendly staff but very clean and well kept. Has an overwhelming odor that permeates the inside. The outside is well kept and very inviting. My grandparents love it here.
