They both have deep compassion, unwavering professionalism and a deep knowledge of how to truly care for our greatest generation. They take the time to fully understand each person's clinical and emotional needs ensuring transitions are seamless and filled with warmth and confidence making "The Woods" a wonderful place to live.

ALL the staff was supportive, helpful and hospitable. The rooms were cleaned weekly and more if needed, the food service superb. Nick the chef , and his team were wonderful and accommodating to all the residents. Lisa, Shirley, Cathy, Jason, Bob, Ingrid, Nina, Morgan and the others who cleaned, managed and maintained the property were very helpful, supportive and hospitable. The grounds are very clean and very well maintained. The residents were all supported, and very welcoming. Morgan was great at organizing activities for the residents. ALL the staff knew all the residents names and were very welcoming, supportive and hospitable to all the residents and their pets.

Cathy is great! She was a main reason my mom felt welcome there and she is so compassionate and fun with all the residents! Most days when i visit the people a laughing, exercising and just enjoying each other's company.Most have smiles on their faces. Great place for my mother.

Mom has enjoyed living at the Woods at Canco for over 3 years. Lisa and the staff are very kind and caring. Morgan, the activities director is amazing. Mom has especially enjoyed having her own patio to feed the birds and care for her plants.

Cathy is exceptional. She is an extraordinary representative for Holiday Woods at Canco. Canco is a caring, comfortable environment. I am delighted with acquaintances I have made, primarly in the dining room. The staff has been engaging and supportive. The natural enviroment is a joy! One can walk, explore, seek solitude or comraderie. We guffaw and share stories with each other!

I have been getting healthier since I've been here. There is far less stress in my life and that's thanks to the wonderful staff, who work their butts off everyday to make sure the people who live here get the help they need. There are lots of activities and a big dining room so it's good when you are meeting new people and doing things together. So I have nothing but good things to say but it starts with the staff, they are all wonderful.

Canco Woods provided a home for my mother on very short notice when due to her contracting a tick borne illness she was unable to return to her home in Florida as planned. Although she was only there for three months, I was very impressed with the kindness and attentiveness of all the staff, from management to dietary aides, to the residents. It is clear that the residents there are thriving in the safe and nurturing environment that Canco Woods provides. Kathy on the management team is especially kind and helpful and geninely interested in the well being of the residents of Canco Woods. Thank you Kathy and all the staff at Canco for ensuring that the seniors at Canco live their best life possible.

When entering a new chapter in life, you are always left wondering what may be next. When my mother transitioned into community living at the Holiday Woods at Canco, I was skeptical. After all, this was the woman who raised me. You always hear horror stories about elders being taken advantage of or neglected. I can attest that this facility could not be any further from those concerns and would recommend it to anyone looking for a transition of their own or for a family member. In the ladder part of her life my mother was not only introduced to a new community, but was given a purpose. She made friends as she always did, was able to create a club, and had readily available transportation to any and all appointments she needed to attend. Not to mention, the gourmet prepared meals that are served THREE TIMES per day! After my mother's passing the General Manager of the facility, Lisa Keisman, seemingly took the loss as if it were her own family member. Throughout my mother's stay at Holiday Woods at Canco, Lisa went above and beyond in so many ways within her role. In 8 months she undertook a complete renovation of the building, went through employee turnover to create the team that she knew the community deserved, and still always answered the phone when needed. When the time came, Ms. Keisman also helped facilitate a celebration of life for my mother and made sure anyone who wanted to be involved was there. I will be forever grateful for my mother's stay here and the team that was put into place around her. This is a top-notch facility.

Our family is so thankful for the wonderful staff that not only took such good care of our loved one but also acted as an advocate for her in their community. The manager Lisa went above and beyond the duties assigned and I will never forget how our family was treated upon the passing of their resident and our family memeber. They were empathetic,gracious and kind through the entire process.

When I decided to return to Maine I was looking for a secure, comfortable, and fun place to live. I wanted to be free of household duties, worrying about water, oil, electricity, and repairs. Plus I wanted a place that I could meet new friends and enjoy life. I have found that at The Woods. The staff here is pleasant, friendly, helpful, and…… fun! They provide me with three meals a day, a plethora of activities, great walking trails, surrounded by woods. I am close to the city, the back bay, and shopping, but yet have a peaceful surrounding. I believe i have found the right place to live out my blessed life.

My parents moved here in October and the transition was quick and easy. The staff is great, helpful and very responsive when we had questions. Since being here my parents are thriving. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a new place to call home for their parents.

The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. Especially Kathy , who on very short notice, arranged the move of my wife from a rehab center to the Woods. She managed to furnish a one bedroom apartment for us. I can't say enough about her kindness and effort to accommodate our needs. A shout out for Josie and the Little Angels, who went above and beyond, making my wife comfortable. After a week my wife was admitted to a hospital and then a long term nursing care facility. It's a shame we didn't get to experience the full enjoyment and amenities that the Woods has to offer.

The tour was gracious, a lovely lunch with 2 residents who answered my questions about their day to day life, activities, and dining. They and the dining room was lively and people were engaged in conversations. After lunch Laurie took us on a tour of the building common spaces and available apartments and prices. The lunch, tour and options were wonderful.

I recently helped move my best friend into this independent living facility and I am extremely impressed. The facility is under new ownership and management, I understand, but the several residents that I spoke with seemed very happy with their living arrangements.

2 years ago I down sized from 4 bedroom to my studio. There is activities. crafts and entrainment.Meals. by a caring chief. yes it not perfect. key is relationships. Grieving is difficult sometimes. so Minds extended, hands that share and open hearts. ps great woods are adjunct to the property.
