I have lived at Solstice for almost two years and am so happy to have made the decision to move here. My apartment is cozy and welcoming and, when I want to be social, all I need to do is step outside my door. There are activities to suit different interests and abilities and the staff are warm and helpful. The atmosphere is lively and upbeat and the other residents provide good company and friendship. Before I moved here I was living on my own in a lovely condo. But I needed to seek out social company by either inviting people in or going away. Cooking and cleaning was up to me. Here I have help from housekeeping weekly and three meals prepared for me every day. When I want to take a walk, there are walking trails just a few steps away. All in all, moving to Solstice Senior Living has been the best solution for me.

My parents moved to Solstice 2 years ago. My father passed away last year and the staff and residents have supported and embraced my mother as she has found her new normal! The care and concern along with the many opportunities for activity & community have been amazing! I would highly recommend Solstice to anyone looking for a vibrant & caring community.

Solstice Senior Living is a great community! I love working with Dave, Kelsey and Julie. The residents are wonderful and the staff provide great service. The food is fantastic and the events are so fun!

The staff here are incredibly friendly and helpful! My parents lived there for about a year and constantly raved about how wonderful the staff were to them. This culture of hospitality starts at the top with David, the GM, and permeates throughout the community. The community is very active and there's always something to do there.

Kelsey and the staff at Solstice were wonderful to my parents during a challenging and unexpected circumstance when they needed a short-term place to live for about 6 weeks. Kelsey and her team went above and beyond; they were flexible, responsive, and caring. My parents' unit was beautiful, and they were made to feel welcome. Kelsey also had excellent communication with me; I live far away, and it gave me peace of mind knowing my parents had this layer of support.

I work for Amada Senior Care and support elders to find the right care facility for them. I was blown away on my tour at Solstice. I received a warm greeting at the front desk, saw a fun exercise class, heard a beautiful singing group and peeked into some of the spacious apartments. The food looked and smelled amazing and they serve 3 delicious meals per day. I loved the community vibe and the location was perfect in Fairhaven next to the interurban trail.

I searched in the area for a good community for my disabled sister. After visiting 7 communities, Solstice Bellingham stood out above all the other choices by a considerable margin. Not only did every staff member I met take pains to assure me that regardless of their title, they would help with any concern I or my sister had directly. The atmosphere was that of a family and residents were very welcoming and congenial. A real sense of community. I am completely confident that not only my sister will receive excellent care but that she will be happy here.

Wow. This place needs a major renovation on its infrastructure for the sewer system. Or maybe it's just Fairhaven that causes the place to have an unclean smell that has to be covered up with chemicals. This is not an uncommon problem in other assisted livings in Bellingham and I really don't want to fully blame the facility. It is a multilevel facility that put no thought into the number of elevators (1) to service that large of a population. The furniture is really shabby and the carpet should probably be ripped out as well. This could be a really nice facility and has so much potential for renovation. Great food choices and great art. You could literally have a nice art tour walking the halls each day just looking at the art collection they have although a lot of it does not go together and looks a bit like a hodgepodge. Their marketing person is top notch and is the best thing they have going. The rooms are spacious, even some of the studios are quite large. Prices are fair but then again it needs a lot of love. If you are a senior who has lost their sense of smell and your main focus is food, this might be the place for you. I wasn't that impressed with their activities although they do have things to do. Also no real transportation to speak of for appts. and whatnot.

Would like more square footage, especially in kitchen and for general storage and in bathroom. Units perfect I believe, for a single resident but perhaps "tight" for a couple. However, living center very well appointed, great location and amenities.

We enjoyed our visit. We are in a really good situation here with Millworks Co-housing. When it is time we will change to something like Solstice. We are just starting to investigate our options. Randi did a nice job.

Larry was very nice and made us feel welcome. My dad was looking for a place and chose solstice because it is open and airy and had a really fun activity lineup. Everybody was very nice and the atmosphere was caring and personable. My dad can’t wait to move in to solstice!

Super friendly staff gave us a great tour. Facilities are clean and up-to-date. The meals and menu look outstanding. My mother will only be four minutes from our home which will be super convenient.Lots of activities would be open to her. I hope she chooses to move in!

I wasn't there for the tour BUT brother and his daughter were VERY impressed with the hospitality and the accomodations. So impressed that he decided on the spot that it's where he wants to live. He put money down and its all settled. So glad that your staff is sooooo good! .

My mother chose Solstice to move to 3 years ago when she was 87 and wanted to move out of her house. We have found the staff to be lovely, helpful and patient. The rooms are very comfortable, hers has a lovely balcony. There is a wide range of activities offered. COVID has resulted in many changes but they have all been necessary to ensure the residents' safety. They have done a great job restricting where needed and then slowly moving back to opening up as much as possible without jeapordizing the staff and residents.

My dad lived here for three years. I thought it was a little over-priced, and yes, there are problems there like any residence, but if you're looking to live somewhere without having to cook and clean, especially for people still able to go up and down a flight or two of stairs to avoid waiting on the single elevator, this is a decent place. Before COVID-19, they had lots of entertainment and activities. Coffee, meh, but the food was good enough and often excellent. Lower floor had new carpet installed in 2019 and that reduced odor a lot. Floors upstairs are about typical for an older senior community with wood frame. Staff are very nice and don't rotate often. Sufficient parking. Frequent noise from emergency vehicles and Old Fairhaven Parkway, so apartments on the backside are quieter. Very nice library is a showpiece. Location by I-5 is very convenient for out-of-town family. Bus stops out front. Overnight attendant and locked outer doors. Really, pre-COVID-19 it was certainly a good place to consider among its competitors.

I provided care for a resident at Solstice. The staff is genuinely caring, in every department. I cannot count the number of times that I have asked them to adjust food on menu to accommodate the resident's needs, and in every instance, the staff was happy to assist accordingly. Everyone there pitches in to fulfill the needs and desires of the residents. No one was every to busy to answer a question or to assist, including the director, Larry. The experiences I had there were positive, warm and loving. I cannot say enough about the caring staff and well prepared food.

This by far one of the best senior living centers in whatcom county with great service, breakfast,lunch and dinner food and staff that is very friendly nice rental prices with library with a view and movie theater and hair salon and so much more. My grandma stays there and is always so happy

It's clean, quiet, friendly. The apartments are spacious. The food wasn't great, but good. I am comfortable in knowing that my grandmother is in a safe environment and she can still have friends and socialize .
