Well it's been 1 year living here at Bella Vista Gracious Retirement Living in Asheville, NC. Have seen a few changes along the way, still enjoying the good life here with lots of activities. Enjoying the outings on Friday's and learning the history of Asheville on the outings. Looking forward to another good year here.

My mother has been here for a few years and has had a very positive experience. Excellent management and a great facility. I have eaten with her there multiple times and the food is quite good.

My grandparents have been living here for a little over 2 years. I cannot say enough good things about this place, especially the staff. Since day one they've treated my grandparents well, and have been a source of confort for my grandfather when his wife passed just a year after living there. It's always a joy to go visit my grandfather knowing he's beening looked after by such an amazing and caring team.

We scheduled and had a tour of the property. It is quite a beautiful place! We even were invited to have lunch, what a treat! Tiffany helped us feel right at home. Hopefully we can move there next year!

We have to say, we researched a lot of places before we moved to Bella Vista, but Bella Vista got the blue ribbon, and the reason for it, most of all, is its management and staff teams. They simply spoil us. Managers and assistant managers”two couples”actually live here with residents, so they share our daily lives and get to know all of us as individuals. They’re available 24/7 and wonderfully competent, friendly, and accommodating, have even delivered our meals when we weren't feeling well. Their prize-worthy holiday decorations throughout the building and throughout the year are just icing on the cake but add a lot to a cheerful and interesting ambience. As we expected from our research, management here is nothing short of incredible! Staff, who maintain and clean our apartment and serve us in the dining room, are equally responsive and eager to please. Our dedicated driver takes us to outside activities Monday through Friday, including social events, shopping, and medical appointments, in our own very comfortable little community bus. Managers work hard, apparently, to keep good staff. Meals, served three times a day and included with the rent, are very good and accommodate a wide range of appetites. Our apartment is always comfortable, with separate temperature controls in every room. We love being able to keep our sweet toy poodle with us, and we enjoy meeting up with the other small pets here, too, on the walkway and gardens around the building. We’ve been grateful for the huge convenience of an excellent in-house hairdresser and nail tech. We have more social connection here than ever before. We have been super impressed with our busy, dedicated Activity Coordinator, who involves residents in decisions and then makes them happen. Every week, there’s something for everyone, from an in-house movie theatre, card games and bingo, to the Asheville Art Museum and Flat Rock Playhouse Christmas show! We still drive a car, both of us, but we really wouldn’t need to, living here, because everything we need is well taken care of. We feel like part of a big extended family”safe, comfortable, cared for, and happy! We’re so glad we made the choice to sell our big house and join the Bella Vista community! Janet and Bill Parkerson

My wife and I have been at Bella Vista for about 6 months. The area is beautiful and facilities well cared for. Managers and staff are very helpful and attentive. Residents are welcoming and friendly. Meals are well prepared and plentiful. Activities from games to movies to concerts abound.

Overlooking Asheville Bella Vista is a fine retirement community. The manager teams make such a difference by being with the residents rather than apart.

Wonderful place! My husband and I were apprehensive about having his mother live in an independent living facility. She can do everything herself except drive. Out of the several facilities we checked out, from Waynesville to Columbus, Bella Vista was it! She is very happy there. And we are all tickled pink! Tiffany, Jonathan and Jennifer.. Bless you! Such sweethearts, and they really fuss over the residents! In between all the running around they do!

Bella Vista is not just an independent living facility, it is a lovely community. Mama says she is living the dream. She loves the people, the activities, the food, the desserts, the lovely little apartment, her housekeeper, all the stores in Chick-fil-A nearby, that her children have easy access to the Asheville airport to come to see her, pretty decor in the main building that they work so hard to upgrade this past year. Mama does the exercise classes every day except Sundays because they don't do them on Sundays. The holiday time couldn't have been more beautifully decorated. The New Year's Eve celebration included live music.

Well we have every thing in one beautiful building...a theater, exercise room, activity center beautiful rooms cleaned weekly,3 chef cook meals a day. ....wonderful managers, great friends , oh and a bus to take you to Drs. Appts or just to Ingles or Hamticks for shopping

It's a very nice place and you can live there month to month. However, don't bother to ask for special dietary needs. They will tell you yes and then fail to provide it, repeatedly. They claim it's too expensive to open a can of beans for a long-term vegetarian. 2022 Updating because the nasty employees are long gone. Food issues are still there. If you're on the standard American diet you should be OK on most days. I don't live there but visit frequently.

Cary Cole and his team at Bella Vista are the best. They truly care about the residents and go out of their way to accommodate and make each resident feel special. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a great independent living facility. Food is excellent; my mom loves her apartment with views of the mountains.

I took a tour yesterday and was greeted by Management, other staff and residents. I felt very welcome!! I was greeted as soon as I got out of my POV by a gentleman resident who seemed happy and relaxed with his friend in their rocking chairs. I didn't get to see their homes since Bella is full at this time. I now have Bella Vista at the top of my list!!

We visited 3 retirement communities for my parents in the Asheville area. After considering the quality of the facilities, the freshly prepared meals, overall pricing and the management team, Bella Vista was the clear choice. My parents moved here in July of this year. They love it and have made new friends. 2 thumbs up!!
