Lived here for a year. I find the staff and residents very helpful and caring. Enjoy the facility and feel very safe. Facility keep improving the site with freshly painted railings and trimmed trees. Food in the Oak Room is very tasty and reasonable.

The activities are wonderful, the restaurant "The Oak Room" has a wonderful menu a large variety of items for any taste. The dog park is always full of little fur babies playing and gives the resident time to grab a visit with their owners. The transportation is great for shopping and dr visits. Preston Place has a wonderful warm feeling for everyone living here and anyone that drops by for a visit.

The reason I chose Preston Place was because I loved the grounds. The large mature trees and the beautiful manicured grounds. The staff is pleasant and very helpful. I don't participate in the activities offered by the community, but the things that are offered are diverse and designed to keep seniors active and involved. My only criticism of the facility is that it is an older facility and the apartments need additional love and care. Some A/C units are outdated and need to be upgraded, if not the electrical bill in the summer can be very high and the unit still not cooled properly. I have an issue with water dripping from the ceiling in my bathroom (caused by the A/C condenser not draining properly). It has been three days and I still have to use an umbrella when using the toilet.

I am a current resident at Preston Place and I have lived here for seven + years. I havefound it a friendly and comfortable place to be. I lived here thru the crisis with the serial killer, thru the pandemic, thru several management changes. The current owners and managers were NOT the people in charge during the Chemirmir events. Our security is MUCH better, with cameras, working gates and security guards at night. There is a full maintenance staff. All staff are friendly and pay attention to strangers on the property. I love the trees -maple, live oak, crapemyrtle, more - that surround the buildings and walkways and make this a beautiful and pleasant place to live. The apartments have direct outdoor access, both to the parking areas and to private balconies or porches. The neighbors are friendly, active people, with many interests, and I feel like a member of a real community while I have lived here. We have a wonderful chef, and lots of activities available for all who want to participate. I hope for many more years in this community!

It's a very nice place to live. Beautiful campus, friendly residents, caring staff, good kitchen. Rent increases every year are more than Social Security cost of living adjustments, so some residents are forced to leave for financial reasons.

The open-air environment, coupled with abundant flora and fauna create a living space with unexcelled beauty and ease of lifestyle. The highly trained, and conscientious professional staff make life here a breeze. For the most part, all the residents here are happy and get along with both staff and each other very well. Any concerns or problems are quickly addressed. There are shopping centers and a park nearby. I grew up in a small town in Texas, and this feels like home to me. It is perhaps, the first time I have at home in a place since early childhood.

I just renewed my lease with Preston Place. I have so much respect for the management here and how we are treated like one big family. I now have more friends than I did from my home of 25 years. We are kept so busy with special events, I cannot attend everything that is offered in fun and entertainment. My apt. is so pretty and half what I would be paying at most places in the metroplex! What I am trying to say is, this is HOME!

As much as the deciding factors of acquiring a competitive price point, securing an accommodative location and checking off services offered must dictate one's decision in choosing a personal residence, the most influential factor for my wife and myself was experiencing the Preston Place community organic display of authentic care and professional concern for each Preston Place resident once they've actually moved in. My 84 year old mother lives in her own apartment. Management has introduced more entertainment and activities lately, she has lots of great friends and is really enjoying herself. Lovely for me her daughter because I live so very far away.

I got apartment fatigue when searching for a place after a job led me to the area. Seems the new thing with apartment development is a building several stories high, with a patch of green in the middle and wrapped in concrete. Not this one. Preston Place is the only one that stayed in my memory. A text from staff to follow up on my visit was perfect timing, as I had toured so many places, but they all looked the same. Preston Place is unique. There are so many sidewalks surrounded by greenery with trees towering overhead. It's the perfect place to walk my dog without ever having to leave the property, which is gated. And the gates are always closed and working properly, not open most of the time like so many other properties, which I never understood (why bother, right?). And there are security cameras everywhere, which is nice. A stroll through the community, and you will be treated like family (everyone waves, it's so cute) and the staff is amazing. It's quiet here. I didn't want to live in a place with loud music blaring, parties, etc. I am at a point in my life where serenity matters. The amenities are top-notch, especially the food! The chef-prepared meals are very yummy and convenient. I still work, but once I retire, I will be able to enjoy more of the abundance of activities around here. Five stars for sure. I am glad I moved here.

I toured the facility and attended an event there. The food was delicious and everyone was warm and friendly. Everyone had nothing but praise for the staff. It was very homey there.

My mother-in-law is a resident. She loves the community and has made many great friends who have been very helpful in her transition moving in. The management has been very responsive to any concerns and quick with any needed repairs. Kolton went out of his way to make sure my mother-in-law is well taken care of and happy with her apartment. My grandparents were former residents and they loved it as well. I highly recommend Preston Place to anyone looking for senior living.

I think the location of Preston place is excellent. I think the new owners are trying very hard to upgrade and improve the amenities and services available to their residents. After attending more than one social event it appears that the residents are quite happy, engaged, and enjoying each other and what they are being offered. The updates that are being done to the apartments are attractive and on point. The staff that I met during my latest visit were thoughtful and impressive. Preston Place has been an excellent fit for my mother and hopefully will be for other friends and family members that have shown an interest in the property.

I was do impressed with thus community! It's lovely. The grounds are well manicured with flowers, trees and water features. The buildings are connected by porticos so even if it's raining you can move around the complex. I didn't see inside an apartment but the dining/recreation space was very well appointed with reading rooms, places to watch TV, spaces for games and cards. One of the residents has an art exhibit on display right now. Which was the reason for our visit. The activities calendar was full of things to please just about anyone. My friends who live there love it and I can certainly see why.

Amendment eight months after last review. Turn over I was concerned about has returned to normal and we got another manager about 4 months ago who has the kind of commitment to the people of the community that makes it a pleasure to live here. The company managing the facility now is, with the guidance of senior staff, is investing in the property. With what they have already done and planned improvements, the community is only becoming better. Most important of all, the way neighbors care for one another here has survived the turmoil. This remains a true community. So, the fifth star has been earned again. Original review: Ive lived here over five years. I love my apartment. I give the community four instead of five stars because there has been such a huge turn over of staff during this last year after the community was sold from one company to another. The current manager seems great. Think they are headed back to the five star facility they used to be. Pic is the view from my patio.

In normal times, a great place to live for independent seniors who enjoy going out and doing things , participating in activities, and visiting with friends. During these abnormal times, it is a quiet, lovely complex to be distanced in, with trees, birds, flowers, and walkways.

Hi! My mom has lived at Preston Place for 14 years. Loves playing bridge there, goes to Bible study there and has very good friends there. When her apartment flooded Preston Place immediately helped her with an alternate place to stay, worked with the insurance and quickly and kindly repaired everything! Lawana and all the office staff are so helpful and courteous and cheerful! Terry helped with all the repairs and he was also professional and so caring of my mom! I HIGHLY recommend this retirement residence!

Beautiful property and great location. I toured the property as a potential home for my father, and we were very impressed. The amenities and activities are endless!
