Went to visit a family member and to my surprise when I walked in, the building was nice ,clean , and fresh and I was welcomed with a warm greeting and smile. While visiting my family member staff was nice and friendly and nurses answered any questions that I had concerning her health. I just want to say thank you once again for taking care of my dearest family member. 10/10 recommended

I had the pleasure of visiting my great uncle at the Spring Mill facility in Merrillville. I was skeptical at first but I instantly walked into a friendly staff. I was greeted almost immediately, offered refreshments, and given activities to do with my uncle. The best part was the upkeep of the building and his room. One of the aides even gave me tips on how to navigate my uncle's behavior during the visit (He isn't always so pleasant). Anyhow I'm glad I got to stop in

I was in town visiting my aunt, and Spring Mill was very welcoming. The DON (Nurse Ashford) was extremely helpful and professional. Not to mention the clean facilities which is hard to find. My visit gave me a real peace of mind. Keep it up Spring Mill!

I was visiting my sister there recently and I was very pleased with the place. There was a nice aroma, very clean and neat and most of all pleasant staff members. I would difinitely recommend the facility to any one looking for care for their love ones. Keep up the good work.

I would like to say thank u I guess for semi taking care of a family friend…however you all need better training and need to care Lil more about your job. The facility is dirty and patients crying threw the hallways and y'all just stand around at a booth…If your not going to care for people ,let them hire quality people who can…

All the staff at this place are all nice and kind to my elderly mother. All the C&A's are all so helpful. One C&A I would like to especially thank in Toy. She is so wonderfully caring and sweet to my mother. Very helpful and sweet. In addition the food they serve her is very tasty, great portions and warm. Always a lot of employees around working...great administration and customer service! The nurses are amazing and very attentive! Pam and Bonnie are my favorite in assisted living! Sylvia Verde is well taken care of!! When I leave I can feel comfortable leaving!! The cleaning staff does a great job!! Thank you to all the staff at Spring mill! The food needs to be more appetizing! I do wish the residents would be taken outside in the court yard on nice days and do more activities. Some of them need more coaxing to get out of their rooms! Otherwise, I am very pleased with my mom's care. Cate and Steve!

When dealing with something as stressful and emotional like finding a place for a senior loved one to live, the experience my family and I had was just what we needed. The atmosphere at Spring Mill is family oriented. Ms. Karen along with the ENTIRE staff I have interacted with has been compassionate and professional in addressing the needs of my mom. Helpful staff,clean and upbeat environment. Dietitian came in right away to discuss meal planning.My Mom was cleaned up promptly and given her meds and sat up in her chair to motivate her. My Mom I believe will make a speedy recovery at this facility! Would definitely recommend!

It's all in the name..."Health Campus". Psychologically better. Residents can personalize their living area in spacious quarters. No urine smell when u walk in the building. Rooms and common areas are clean and neat. Ratio of staff to residents seems appropriate. All residents are treated respectfully and with dignity-regardless of their abilities. Everyone is professional and attentive to the residents as well as the visitors. Visitors are greeted at the front door, in the hallways and upon exit. There is a social room in each wing as well as an activity wing. Security measures are in place and enforced for the residents' safety. The two story connecting buildings seem to be ideal and functional. Free parking is a bonus! Very satisfied that my family member is here because he is well taken care of.

On Sunday, July 17, I went to visit an elderly friend of mine. She wasn't in her room and I asked a couple of employees in the hall where she could be. One said to check at the nurses desk on the first floor, so I did. Normally everyone is very nice there, but the young woman on the first floor couldn't be bothered. She was sitting at the computer not typing, just sitting. When I asked about my friend and if she could look to where she was the woman told me to go check with the nurses upstairs. Hmmm, apparently her computer only works with patients on the first floor. I then saw a lady who was collecting dirty lunch trays and asked her. She went right to the computer on the second floor and found out where my friend had been relocated. She then personally escorted me to my friend's room. I was so grateful after roaming and asking for at least 15 minutes. The lady's name was Patricia; she said she's a CNA. Thank you, Patricia!!
